If you have never seen a Ghibli or Miyazaki film, this is a great place to start. The animation is gorgeous and this film has one of if not the best stories Miyazaki has told. There's an ambiguity to the film in how some characters seem like protagonists and others antagonists, yet the story doesn't depict them as one might expect heroes or villains to be treated. They are certainly not painted in black-and-white or made out to be unambiguously good or evil; this and an ending that might not satisfy might be off-putting to audiences expecting a typical western fantasy action story. I advise first time viewers to bracket your skepticism and simply let the story be what it is to more fully appreciate this work of art. It was clearly made this way intentionally after all.

My daughter loves this anime movie because she watched it in her anime club at school.

This has been one of my favorite movies ever, and now I get to watch it in Blue Ray

I have always been a fan of Miyazaki. This movie is about a young boy,who after being cursed and exiled from his home, goes on a journey to find a cure. When he reaches his destination he is then involved with a struggle between humans the forest spirits for resources. I enjoyed this story.

My husband and I want everything blue-ray along with all the Stufio Ghibili movies.

Princess Mononoke is an amazing classic from Studio Gibli. The story line and the animation are timeless.
