Excellent animation, story, voice acting, and visuals. I'd recommend this film to anyone, though some parts may be too scary or violent for young children.

Purchasing this was good because it was my first time watching this film and I loved it so much definitely recommend

Of the whole Ghibli collection, this is my favorite film. It's gorgeous, dark, whimsical and the voice acting is great.

This is another hit coming from Mizaki, a famous director in Japan and respected world wide. Animation is amazing and the story line can be enjoyed by adult.

Such a great movie. Packaging was sturdy, movie is in good condition, I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys animation. This is a Miyazaki classic.

I bought this online. This review is for the Blu Ray, not the movie. The movie is 10 out of 10 by far. The Blu Ray is excellent. You can indeed tell a difference over the DVD quality. But the photo on the BestBuy website shows the Blu Ray having a slip cover. But it unfortunately does not. I was pretty bummed because Studio Ghibli has beautiful art work. So -1 star

I like that you can still appreciate this type of film… I just wish there was a digital code attached to the disc

If you're into an anime style movie based on the battle between nature and humans with a almost eerie twist to it this is definitely the movie to watch.

I'm not big on anime but any Studio Ghibli Film and I'm there! It's a great story about the forest and it's relationship wit spirits, gods and humans.

A great political allegory about the forward motion of capitalism and greed and it's impct on the natural world. Also, gratuitous cartoon violence.

More important to my childhood than starwars.......................................................
