You probably already know how great this movie is, and I feel that I don't need to review the actual movie itself (since so many other reviews can cover this better). Instead, I'll just comment on how amazing the movie is in Bluray. Everything is so crisp, just improves the overall movie experience.

Princess Mononoke is a feast for the eyes. It is one of the most gorgeous, complex films to ever come out of Japanese animation. Even the English translation, something that is almost always critiqued, is solid. The film might be a little too long for some, but I find myself wanting more by the time it was over.

Excellent story line. Fabulous animation. Sometimes a bit too graphic for younger children tho. I've watched it twice with my teenage grandchild and picked up more details. Worth the money.

This is one of Miyazaki's best films, largely overshadowed by Spirited Away although still very popular. It's a bit more violent than most Studio Ghibli films as it's rated PG-13. The Bluray has English, Japanese, and French audio options with English ESL & SDH and French subtitles.

I've watched this movie many times on DVD and now, it's even better on blu-ray! The video quality is a huge improvement when compared side by side with the DVD. They did a great job with the transfer. If you haven't watched the movie before, but like animation, buy this blu-ray!

I would have to say out of all the studio Ghibli movies, this one clicks with me the most and has always been my favorite. I believe it was my first ever studio Ghibli movie, so that could have something to do with it. Regardless, this movie is amazing and a must see.

Great release - would be made better by the inclusion of a digital copy, but otherwise, this series of Steelbooks is the most beautiful incarnation yet! Will be purchasing all these Steelbook Ghibli titles.

This movie is 10/10! The way studio ghibli is able to create something so wonderful is outstanding! Not to mention the story that they present touches every person who watches it!

In my opinion, it’s the me of the more thought provoking SG films. I think it’s a Film many people who would watch Spirited Away or Totoro don’t usually watch, which makes it slept on. I highly recommend.

This was the first Studio Ghibli moves I ever saw and I've been hooked ever since! The animation, story, and actors are all great. I was excited when I found out it was coming in a DVD/Blu-Ray set! The only thing that would've made it better would be a HD digital version in the package!

As with all Studio Ghibli films absolutely great and would give this a 5 if not for 2 reasons...has been a long time coming and, in part to reason 2, Disney owns distribution rights which means high prices and a terribly looooooonnnnnnggggg wait for Blu-ray releases. With another 3 looming in Feb 2015 including Tales from Earthsea where's Spirited Away? Unless you have an all region player to get these from overseas...and I might add that being a Ghibli Fan I have because Disney has not even released a small number either DVD or BD format....or willing to pay even Disney Pricing these movies are never disappointing.

By far one of the best films from Ghibli Studios. I'm completely biased to this movie because it's my car my favorite of their films. Luckily it's cheaper at Best Buy when I bought it in Blu-Ray. If you're a fan of Ghibli produced or just animated films you'll love this one.

Favorite movie of the 90s. With all these streaming services dumping their digital media forever it makes sense to have a physical copy

My family loves these Studio Ghibli films and appriciate Best Buys stock of them. We are collecting the bluerays one at a time. This is a slightly more adult film but not horribly so. A few risqué moments and violence but a lovely movie and great English voice acting.

In my opinion this is the best Studio Ghibli film ever made. I will always watch this movie time and time again! This movie definitely gives some amazing life lessons that also really pertain to nowadays and how we need to treat our Earth and fellow humans better.

I hunted this down because streaming Miyazaki is still not a legal option. This way you get the original and the surprisingly stellar English dub all in one place. If you're a Miyazaki fan you can't go wrong with any of the titles, and Mononoke is one of the best.

PROS: -the pacing of the storytelling, there are no dull moments -voice acting is top notch -the soundtrack is beautiful -animation directing is top notch CONS: -story gets a little confusing near the end -it's quite lengthy (over 2 hours long)

After watching this for the first time recently, it really made me realize how great the animation is in these movies! This film has everything you would want, action, fantasy, picture perfect art style. 10 stars!

This movie is so nostalgic for me, as it was my first Miyazaki movie. Everything about this movie is stunning, from the animation to the music. Whenever someone asks me which Miyazaki movie to watch, I always recommend this one. You'll be in awe of how good it is

I watched this movie for the first time when i was little i never what anime was. This my all time favorite anime movie because it was my first and i still love the story and can rewatch it over and over again.
