The Ghiblie films Disney releases are usually a combination of finding balance with the mother earth. This is another well told tale of a young boy coming of age and embarking on a quest to rid the forest of the evil that has attacked his village... Pretty good....

I first saw this movie at a small indie theater in columbia, sc. I have loved miyazaki movies ever since. This will always be one of my favorite as it introduced me to his films. a classic

Awesome steel book and great film. Buyer beware that this steel book dents pretty easily like most steel books. Be prepared for a dent or two from shipping and handling.

The anime film that hit the mainstream. Its reputation precedes itself and still hold up to this day. Inspiring generations and bridging cultures, Princess Mononoke is needed on everyone's shelf.

Princess Mononoke is just a great movie. Beautiful art and a story that keeps you hooked. I watched it when I was younger before Blu-ray was the standard. Now I can enjoy it in High Definition. A must-watch for any anime fan.

Princess Mononoke is an exceptional film from Hayao Miyazaki, and I could go on forever about the conflicts between humans and nature spirits it presents, but it's best to see it for yourself. The luscious animation and timeless themes work together quite well. I'm only withholding one point because of a well-known issue with the English subtitles, which are actually "dubtitles" that reflect the English dub script rather than be a more accurate translation of the original Japanese. Other than that, it's practically perfect, and a welcome addition to anyone's collection.

The storyline is very impressive, especially with its visuals. The plot always surprised, even when I rewatched the film. I honestly thought the scene in which Ashitaka uses his arrow to cut off both of a samurai's arms off was pretty cool. The violence, though, may be too intense for the little ones, including the scene when Ashitaka was shot for preventing San from killing Lady Eboshi. Plus, the beginning in which Ashitaka kills the boar god might frighten them too. But, if you're into surprises, then this one is definitely for you.

I first saw this as a kid during a Starz free preview. I loved it then because of how beautiful and interesting everything look. Watching it as an adult I appreciate and love this film even more but for its deep, meaningful story and compelling characters.

Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite films of all time, and this Blu Ray doesn't disappoint. The quality of the visuals really shows how amazing and fluid the animation is. Definitely worth adding to anyone's collection.

The most powerful, in my opinion, of all the Ghibli films. If you never seen an anime, or have mixed feelings about animation having deep stories, buy this. My favorite Ghibli film by far!

This was the very first Disney /Ghibli film I watched and it was definitely different than American Disney movies. Was it a bad thing? Absolutely not. These anime movies are very special and the best way to judge it is by witnessing it firsthand.

It's a Myazaki Film. It's one of the best ones that he's made. It shows darkness and light and the way that everyone is doing the best they can for themselves, not just being evil. Warning, it is bloody, so it may not be good for little kids.

Not only is this one of the best Studio Ghibli movies, but it's also one of the best animated films ever created. It looks beautiful on Blu-ray.

My favorite of the Miyazaki's. All his movies are very thought provoking, and this new release is a great cheaper alternative to the now out of print (and expensive!) Disney releases. Both pic and audio quality are just as good.

If you're familiar with Studio Ghibli, then you know this is a must watch. Seeing it in blu ray was visual eye candy and the storytelling was great. Princess Mononoke is such a beautiful masterpiece for any age- adults and children alike.

This is a must own in my opinion for animation fans. It was a ground breaking film of its time and one of the last hand drawn cell animation films. 20 years but you wouldnt know. there is something special about non CG films.

She’s technically not a princess, but they still called it Princess Mononoke. Like every traditional princess she does have a motley crew of forest creatures. Cute and uplifting, it promises not to give an exestential crises.

If you like studio ghibli films, especially Miyazaki ones, this is a must for your collection. It has action, drama and even a bit of comedy. Plus it has a nice message about preserving mother nature and all that sappy things.

I saw this years ago and enjoyed it. My son has been collecting blurays and dvds for some time noe and wanted this in his collection. He also enjoyed it.

This is one of my favorite Hayao Miyazaki films. I love watching animated movies, however this one takes the cake. It features some gore which may not be suitable for smaller children, but the storyline is great and powerful.
