Great movie, very well done. Too bad it wasn’t expanded on, instead of the weak tie-in of Alein:Covenant directly to the original Alien film.

There are some questionable actions taken by the crew of the Prometheus, and maybe a little too much philosophical whinging, but for the price + a free ticket to alien: covenant, I have no complaints! Excited to see where the franchise goes next.

Great movie! The architecture from the Prometheus reminds me of the H.R. Giger inspiration that we've all grown to love and appreciate about the unearthly design of their ships. Fantastic in Blu-ray 4K, great depth and vivid picture!

Ridley Scott's prequel to the Alien quadrilogy provides a fantastic first hour. Then it gradually leaves us yearning for its sequel. If you've wanted some background into what led to Ripley and her crew's encounter with the aliens, this film is for you.

I love a good commentary and this Blu Ray has one by the director and another commentary by the two writers with good insight for anyone interested in the film making process. I wasn't crazy about the movie itself, but the commentaries were worth the purchase.

Great Mythology for the Alien universe. Although this movie was not widely accepted it’s a very underrated movie! Give it a shot! It breathes new life into the Alien lore from an different angle.

Caveat: This is a review of the product's features, not the film. Most people decide to purchase a film based on the experience of seeing it first. For me, I am a Ridley Scott (director) completest and love the immersive experience offered by the Blu Ray (commentary tracks, documentaries, DVD, and UV copy). Great package!

Alien is my favorite movie of all. I thought it was a great tie in or preqil if you will to Aliens. The hero went through more than Siggy did, as a matter of fact she went through more than Arnold, Willis and Stalone put together in any movie. I had read somewhere that Ridly Scott is making a sequal to Prometheus, can't wait.

As much as people dont like Prometheus the same amount do. Practical effects and such an expansive story for repeated viewing. Ridley Scott is one of a kind.

Prometheus is a great science fiction film that precedes Alien Covenant and future films preluding the 1979 movie Alien. This movie will leave more questions than it answers about the Alien franchise so be ready to follow the upcoming movies.

First of the Alien prequel movies...4k version offer a very sharp picture and crisp sound to boost. The film can't live up to the original series. But it tries...

You either like it or you don't. It's a prequel to alien except there is really no Xenomorph in the movie. The movie focuses a lot on the human element and the discovery of where human civilization began. But if you have taken a genetics class there's some issues with the science in this movie. The film makers try to give their take on the beginnings of human life and the cast does a decent job with what they're given. I wanted action and potential alien interactions but this movie is very limited in both. The 3D is amazing but the story line is a hit or a miss based on what you're looking for. I watch it for the 3D effects but really hope they give us something to work with in the sequel because this prequel is disappointing.

It's a good movie. It has a suspenseful plot that I enjoyed without being overly scary. The only problem was that the Digital Copy didn't originally work, and took some research to fix. It wouldn't hinder my choice from recommending the movie. It's a great weekend movie.

Ridley Scott has brought back what we love to the Aliens franchise. Scientists, a powerful corporation and a crew of ragtag space explorers seeking the answers to humanity's origins. The "Space Jockey" or "Pilots" are finally revealed as the crew tackles with a dark new menace. Love it or hate it, it's still a blast to watch.

Having watch the movie Promethus at least a dozen times and never really getting the full explaination of what happens, this 3 DVD set is just the thing to find all the answers. An unbelievable amount of extras make it worth the purchase. Put it on as soon as I got home. Excellent !

A lot of people down this movie because they thought this movie was an alien movie. Let me tell you it's not an alien movie but it is a movie that stands on its own. A viewer must go into this movie with an open mind to be able to get the treat that they want.

When I heard about this movie I was incredibly excited to revisit the Alien universe. However, if you're hoping for an Alien like experience you will be sorely disappointed. We do get to visit another planet and get a lot of what we're hoping for but the characters are sorely lacking. The group of "scientists" act like a layman would on a foreign planet. Unrealistic and silly reactions and behaviors kill what little they have going for them. The movie does have gorgeous environments, beautifully realized by the production team and the picture quality is pristine. The adventure is enjoyable if you can get past the ridiculous actions of some of the characters. It just could have been so much more.

This Polarizing flick has the full bastion of special features and informative commentaries. That making of doc is a full on BEAST! It's one of the best making-of's that I have ever seen on a Blu or DVD. If you're interested in filmmaking, or just love the film - this is a must pick-up!
