Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great, even able to hookup external speakers (though somehow the audio is MUCH louder coming through my speakers compared to from just the player's speaker- had to turn the player volume all the way down to 5 to get back to comfortable listening level). It plays my blurays and dvds just fine. No issues so far. I prefer this much better than hooking up an external bluray player to my laptop to watch movies.

Setup shows it is on but starts right on first picture, not the one I had been watching Am asking the Geek Squad for help. I am sure I am not doing something right.

Because it is still a small device, the sound coming from it is not so great. I thought that this unit would support Bluetooth connectivity with external portable speakers, but this is not the case. What a pity! The quality of sound is also important for a playback enjoyment. Also, this player is not region free. I couldn't play my PAL discs.

My Sony portable Blu-ray Player is really old and I needed a replacement. The Proscan is larger and is fine for what I need it for. The Sony appears to be a better quality player but still works. I gave the Proscan a B+ rating.

I contacted Curtis customer service which is terrible. I was informed that there is only a 90 day warranty on this piece of junk. I was a few days past 90 days. Truly a disgrace of a company.
