Purchased to cover a MacBook Air that is a gift for my nephew that is a freshman in high school...hopefully we won't need it, but good insurance policy just in case

I believe this protection plan is necessary. I bought a MacBook Air and if someone is going to spend that much on a laptop, I feel that it is necessary to protect it.

Purchasing Apple Care for a laptop is imperative. You never know what will happen while you are out and about. I haven't had to use it....I hope it stays that way.

Unfortunately, it is pretty expensive but I am really glad that it lasts for three years because I am super clumsy and I would hate to have to buy a whole new mac.

After reading if I should get this, I decided to go ahead and purchase the extended warranty. Wish I knew I would never need it, but just got it for peace of mind.

Since this is my daughter's computer (who just throws her laptop into a backpack), we needed the Protection Plan. I'll let you know if/when we need to use it.

Hopefully I will have no need for it and the laptop will be perfect but there's always that chance that it could need repair, so it's nice to have the insurance.

I must say I haven't had to use this yet. I work for a reputable IT service provider and can safely say I have no frustration when working with Mac clients because of this. It covers almost all issues short of mishandling from stupidity. Apple support is domestic and has one goal in mind; making sure you are running again on a mac asap whether it's yours or a replacement. Once your account is created the first time, all information about you accounted device is stored which cuts down on the arbitrary song and dance of providing personal information and 20+ digit serial numbers

With AppleCare I have very little to worry about. A must have for those on the big go during the week. You never know, unless you already know. You know?

This takes a load off my mind just knowing my granddaughter is covered by the Geek Squad or Apple if she has problems with her PC now that she's away from home.

Short of water damage or drops this is a must in our school, students carry devices for 4 years so 3 years of 'warrenty' via a very fast service is essential

I take really good care of my things and really didn't want to spend an extra $250, but I feel much better knowing if something were to occur I'm covered.

it's definitely worth it to get the protection plan - can call apple for support and they are always great to help you out. Just that feature is worth it!

Love the fact that Best Buy always offers support for a new purchase- it shows they want me to be satisfied and have a great experience with my purchase.

Purchased apple protection just in case something happens to the laptop while I'm at school. Hope i never have to use it, but if I do, I know i am covered.

Get the plan, It will help you in the future in case of something happening. You spent the money to get the computer you may as well keep it protected.

I was a bit worried about purchasing insurance for my laptop but I convince my self to get it you never know if something happens u want to be protected

You never know what will happen to your device, it's always great to purchase Apple care for piece of mind. It covers so much so I won't have any worries.

I always get Apple Care because you can bring your device in for the stupidest questions, you get what ever it is resolved without an extra dime charged!

Bought this plan for my daughters computer. I bought the plan for my MacBook Pro back in 2011 and I never used it but it's still a nice piece of mind.
