A little expensive but covers water damage or accidental drops. Invaluable when you have a teenager.

I miss the bestbuy care which took care of accidental damage. Applecare does not provide this.

Not sure how this really works. But, good to have just in case something goes wrong

I purchased Geek Squad which replaced my computer and told me they would try to retrieve my data from from computer for a price. This was acceptable but no follow up and no data retrieved. I was transitioning with a lot of stuff so had very little time to follow thru so after receiving new computer didn't follow up with retrieving Office Suite... When I finally called a couple of months later when I noticed that I had no way to document then I contacted them. Geek squad said they would send me the app at no charge since. Never received to this date actually about 5 months later. If you purchase GEEK SQUAD then be prepared to ride them to follow thru. They drop the ball continuously. I am very unhappy!

Purchased at an outrageous price for peace of mind but the first time my daughters laptop has issues apple back peddles and finds any excuse not to cover repair, don’t waste your money. I would give it zero stars if possible, parents beware

The dull color was aweful and so is the Protection, it's too expensive

I always best to purchase a warranty so if anything goes wrong with the merchandise it will be fixed.

Buyers beware, this coverage will only protect you if you are able to recover the device and read the serial number. We were recently involved in an apartment fire where we lost everything. Apple would not replace our items. Additionally, our roommate was able to find her MacBook, however since it was too burned to read the serial number she was not helped either. I assume it's because apple wants the ability to resale the undamaged parts in the computers they replace. Pretty disappointing, and adds insult to an already terrible situation.

Its obvious that you are reviewing a product you bought, but haven't used. I tried to use my Applecare+ for an iPhone XS Max and I had 3 options (1) wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment at BestBuy (2) wait 3-5 weeks for the device to be repaired by Apple or get an express replacement in 3-5 days and let Apple authorize $1,400.00 on a credit card until the device comes back to them. Do yourself a favor, spend less on Asurion protection, they got me a replacement THE SAME DAY and its cheaper, you can pay monthly and they have amazing customer service. They apologized for a 10 min wait when Apple kept me on the phone for... ready? 3 hours! Do yourself a favor and get drop Applecare and get better protection and service elsewhere.

if your are spending a butt load of money on a computer might as well get the extra warranty just incase.

This is good protection for your computer investment.

I just used AppleCare for the first time after putting many hundreds of dollars into it for multiple devices, and it was a horrible experience. I spent two hours on the phone waiting to get through to a representative before I could make an appointment to take it in, had to wait an hour before they could take my laptop, then received the laptop back several days later WITHOUT having made one of the repairs that had been listed on my work authorization sheet. I spent another two hours trying to get through, and Apple finally said I could mail the laptop back in for that repair. This was a huge waste of time and money. The repairs were minor and would have cost far less - and been SO much less of a headache - if I'd foregone AppleCare and just taken the laptop to a local repair shop.

I purchased Applecare for my iphone 12 mini & paid the $100+tx co- pay for a water damage replacement/express mail return. The first time I returned my phone they sent it right back, so I returned it a second time. My credit card was charged $736 for an out of warranty replacement. I was given two "reconditioned" phones that were not new. (one after the other) The first had a lens scratch and the second had an unresponsive face plate. After many hours on the phone, so far I have not been credited back for the unauthorized charge. This matter has been pending for over 2 months. I could have purchased a new phone for less.

Don't waste your time. AppleCare agents will waste your time. If you insist and send it to AppleCare technicians, they might fiddle with it and send it back telling you you there is nothing wrong. This is a money making scam.

I had my phone fixed from apple care and they did i great job I thought at first. Till I broke it again and my claim was rejected because the apple care at best buy used parts that caused it to be altered and the claim was not covered. They do a great job fixing it but aren't using the correct parts that are covered by apple and if you break your phone again it will no longer be covered.
