    Great toy for kids!

I bought 3 of these for Christmas for my kids. They are ages 7, 8, and 10 and were able to use these just fine. The box says 13+ for age range, but after a few minutes of practice, they were flying them all over the house. The helicopters have crashed many times, even crashed down a flight of stairs, and not a single one has broke. They seem very sturdy for the price and are rechargeable which is great. The only issue we have had with these is that any controller can fly any of the 3 copters so when the kids use them, the kids have to be far enough away from each other so they aren't controlling each others helicopter. Great product for the price and I would definitely recommed this product over the much pricier helicopters sold in the mall!

Runs for 7 minutes from a USB charge and that's the only downside. Otherwise it's extremely fun for anyone to use. I play with my dogs with it and chase them around - they have so much fun. Anyone can use it's easy controls and you will love this thing for $40 bucks you CANT beat it.

Great little helicopter to fly around the house to learn how to fly without spending a lot of money. Had a couple of pretty good crashes at the beginning, but just killed power before making contact with anything and nothing has broken yet. Battery life does seem a little short, but is getting a little longer as I use it. Definitely worth the money for the entertainment value and the build quality.

Ordered mine online and came ready to fly out of box. I am currently getting about 10 min of flight time and 30 min full charge. Survived many crashes, drops, and epic fail landings. Not due to skill needed. Just lack of skill and depth perception. A+ and 5 stars for this toy. Well worth my money.

First off - I was very skeptical of the quality of any type of remote control flying object.... could envision it not lasting but one flight after it smashes into the ceiling or wall. That wasnt the case at all! This copter is easy to learn how to fly. It has been smashed into the ceiling and the walls (and other things) and has held up! My teenager loves this and mastered how to fly it quickly ... my younger child has been able to enjoy it as well. Very high quality! The only thing you need to watch is any kind of draft or wind. It is easily moved by the wind - even ceiling fans set on low. Not so much a big deal - but when you cant get the copter to fly straight .... look for wind and be careful of anything that it could smash into (ie TV, vases, etc).

    Excellent Indoor Remote Control Helicopter

I purchased an indoor remote control helicopter years ago that was very difficult to fly. It became a dud after a few crashes. I almost bought one of those helicopters from one of those mall kiosks when I discovered Best Buy was selling these helicopters. I read the reviews and thought I would be an idiot not to buy one on sale at Best Buy for $29.99 (wish I had bought a couple more). I figured I would buy one from Best Buy and would be able to return it if it broke too easily or if I didn't like it, compared to a stupid kiosk at the mall. I was pleasantly surprised by the durability of this helicopter. It was so much easier to fly compared to the one I purchased years back. I've crashed the darn thing quite a few times and it's still flying strong. I tried to fly the heli outdoors and it didn't perform very well. The heli would cut out by itself once in awhile and I didn't want to risk crashing it hard on the concrete so I brought it back indoors and it's flying just fine. I love my heli and I would definitely recommend it!

I bought this item for a christmas present and we have been using it sporadically for 3 months now. It is a great toy, thats easy to use, and durable. My four and seven year old are able control it outside (on none windy days) and Daddy uses it inside because it can turn with ease in our little house.

Best Starter Heli. PERIOD. **ProTips inside!**

First off, this heli is the most stable heli I've flown, and is a blast to fly! I'm an intermediate level RC heli pilot. I started with cheapo 2 ch birds (MicroGear, AirHogs, Brookstone), and am now have a Spektrum DX6i 2.4GHz radio with a Blade CX2 and a Blade MSR. While the 2 ch birds are cheap, they're only good for learning to trim and hover; you don't have much control. The Blade helis are fantastic, but with added cost and maintenance, and require more concentration (and larger areas) while flying. Then I bought the "Protocol Tigerjet", or the Syma S107G (read below). This heli is in the perfect sweet spot of being fun to fly, cheap, low maintenance and repairable (read below). It's the most "pick-up-and-go" of all my helis, and is super stable and easy to trim; It really feels planted in the air. The controller is comfortable and the sticks are nice and spiky for a good grip. The throttle is spring loaded, which is a nice safety feature for beginners (ALWAYS cut the throttle when you crash or you'll fry your circuit board!!!), but I removed the 6 screws on the back and slipped the spring off to make it feel more like my Spektrum radio. Now I can fly it hands off, and it's easy to put the spring back on if I change my mind later. The heli also has a different stick configuration than most "pro" level helis use. Yaw or turning is usually on the left stick, with the throttle, but on this heli it's on the right. It's easy to make mistakes when switching between the two, but all in all this heli looks and feels very precision-made. EVERYONE BUYING THIS HELI NEEDS TO KNOW: This heli is a perfect clone of the Syma S107G, which is a VERY good thing. It has to be a rebranded original; I know what to look for and It's certainly not a fake. The great thing about this is that you can buy REPLACEMENT PARTS online! Plus, you can google for mods and tips from other owners. In my mind, that makes this a true hobby level helicopter.

    Great Helicopter

I bought this for myself for christmas. Amazingly, two months and MANY crashes later, it still works nearly as good as new. Like everyone else has said, it's well built, durable, and is amazingly stable. There's a little bit of a learning curve to be able to pilot it precisely, but practice pays off because the controls are so accurate. It's crashed into just about everything in my living room and kitchen and suffered no damage other than roughing up the leading edge of the blades a bit. My only complaint is that after charging, it frequently doesn't respond to the controller. I have to leave it and the controller on and idle for a minute before it will work again. It didn't always do this, so I don't know what the issue is, but it has always gone back to working so I'm not too concerned. Also, when charging off the controller, the controller LED no longer turns green ever.

I bought this thing after reading all of the reviews, i decided to treat myself and I am telling you it was a great idea. I had so much fun with it the first night. Remarkably easy to control and this is my first time ever flying one of these things. i was able to fly around my room within 2 mins of having this out of the box. the flashing LEDs are awesome. Talk about durability this thing has already been through a war zone... the controls are very responsive that it takes a min to get used to how responsive the controls are i had a blast playing with this thing and i just bought it yesterday. I am actually buying the bigger one (skyline) today so i can have two to play with... i think im hooked LOL

This copter had a very good price, is easy to use, and durable (so far). My 11 year old loves it, and had no problem mastering the controls to fly it. I took a chance based on the reviews by others, and have to agree with the positive reviews. Found 1 funny quirk. The remote occasionally causes the TV to change channel. We keep it out of the room, and no problem.

I received this as a gift and love it. It's my first rc helecopter but it only took me a few minutes to learn to fly it. It is amazing how it will hold a hover, solid as a rock. I read reviews that said it would take 50 minutes or so to charge it but it only takes about 20 if you use an ac usb charger. I have crashed it into several things and no damage so far. The company makes a spare part kit and sells it for only $10 on their website, it was over $16 on Amazon which surprised me, so just go to their store if you need parts. A really fun toy!

    Best Copter For Your Money!

    Posted .

This copter is great. We bought this for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas, and after very little practice, she is able to fly it very well. It is a lot of fun, sort of like watching/flying a giant bumble bee. It can hold up to a lot of beatings as well, as we did crash it quite a few times on the first couple of flights. This helicopter is small, but it is SO much better than the other large and expensive one we bought on this site. I would highly recommend this helicopter to anyone interested in it. Just remember practice makes perfect and you will have a blast.

I bought this for my son to give us something to keep the dog entertained. It's a blast!!! I couldn't tell you how many times I've crashed this little heli into, well, everything, but it keeps going strong. My only complaint is the short battery life and long charge time. 6 minutes is about all you get. However, if you use your iPhone charger instead of your computer, the charge time is drastically reduced.

Durable, Extremely easy to fly, Reasonable Price

Let me start off by saying research has shown that most electric RC choppers have a maximum flight time of 12 minutes. Therefore, the 7-9 minutes per charge you get out of this "TigerJet" is definitely above average. I got this as an exchange after taking back the more expensive, larger, red version. That one (dubbed the Skyline) took almost 3 hours to charge, while this one only takes 50 or so. Plus this one can be charged on your computer, through the remote transmitter, and even with a usb wall charger. Even the most horrible crash landings won't break this toy. Also, it took no more than 2 minutes to master flying this little thing. The red one on the other hand...you're lucky if you can get a steady hover out of it. For the price, this chopper won't disappoint.
