I've only had this for about 2 days now, but can't stop messing with it. It's an awesome helicopter, although it's only my first, but since it has flashing lights on the front and it uses IR to control the heli, if you face it towards the controls while you're flying it will usually fall down as it interferes with the signal. Also I thought it was going to be able to move left and right since it lists left/right on the box, but that just means it can rotate left and right, no left/right, but still awesome for the $39.99 since on their shelf at the store it said $59.99 (best buy by me is horrible with pricing things correctly.)

I almost never right reviews, but when I do it means I purchased an awesome product and this helicopter is one of them!!! After reading the other 5 star reviews I thought how could I go wrong. I have owned two air hog helicopters and most recently a 4 channel Odyssey Heli the same size as this one and it broke the very first day!! So i decided to give the TigerJet a try and I'm glad I did. Super easy to fly even if it is your first time. You can't go wrong with this helicopter!!!

I love this helicopter. It is awesome for indoor use and is fun and easy to learn. It is also a great challenge when you try to land in different locations around the house/office. Do not take it out side. It uses IR receivers and the sun will mess with your controls. Also because it is so light weight the helicopter is very sensitive to any kind of air currents. My brother-in-law has one exactly like mine and we flew together with the separate channels. Be careful not to hit the rotors to hard against anything. The little plastic pieces can be fragile. There is a repair kit you can buy for about $10 if you do break something. I have not had anything break so far and the helicopter still flies great. (owned for 2 months)

This little helicopter is great! It was charged somewhat when I purchased it on sale for 29.99 and that gave me a chance to immediately try it out. It is worth every penny. I taught my 8 year old how to fly it in about 2 minutes. It stood up to all the crashes on my tile floors in the house on numerous occasions and still remained in tact. I am planning on buying another so I can fly with my son. The only con I have is that the play time is about 5-6 minutes and it takes so long to charge. Overall, great piece of work.

Rarely leave reviews, but had to with this little guy. It is very little actually and I was a bit surprised as I bought it on-line and couldn't tell the size easily. I got this for my kids and I got a similar size/price model made by Propel (Stealth II) as a gift. The Tiger Jet is 10x better than the Propel as it is far more stable with the gyro and the tail propellor. Also, it has the USB charger which works with a PC or my iPhone wall charger (which is the fastest way to charge) - the Propel has neither and can only charge through the remote (which drains the 6 AAA batteries quickly. My 6 year olds are able to fly this one after about 2-3 'lessons' from me (I am a rookie by the way). They still cannot get the Propel copter off the ground for more than 5-10 seconds. I am thinking about stocking up and buying 3-4 more just to have on reserve for when it breaks and to alternate charging. Someone mentioned spare parts that came with it, but mine did not. Bottom line - fun little toy for all ages. Had Nana and Grandpa laughing like little kids flying around the house as well. Priceless

I bought this on a whim (well placed impulse item) mostly because the price was so low I figured why not. I was thoroughly impressed and pleased with this item. Really great value for a fun little toy. I do IT work and honestly when I get to the point when I'm frazzled or stumped I start up the helicopter. I've found nothing better for stress relief and epiphanies. If your even thinking about it, which I'm sure you are if you're reading this, go for it; you'll be glad you do.

This copter is great! I got the flight technique down on the first charge. I am a total novice at this and I flew it easy. I tried 2 different Airhog copters before this and returned them. They where hard to fly and just felt cheap. I recommend this to everyone. What also is great is that it goes up, down, left, right, forward and backward. The airhogs that I tried did not do all these maneuvers.

I've always wanted a remote control helicopter, but don't possess the dexterity required for a successful flight. Enter Protocol. The TigerJet's gyro makes it incredibly easy to pick up and learn with minimal learning curve. Now, after flying for around 30 minutes, I'm up UP and AWAYYY like a pro. Thanks Protocol!!!

my boys loves Helicopter, so i brought many different brands before but nothing lasted more than a week. This is working perfect for past 2 months

I bought this to help keep my adult children entertained when my wife and I had to work Christmas eve. It was a blast to play with. Flies very stable and is easy to control. A big improvement over the AirHogs of a couple years ago. Great for indoor use.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Had so much fun I decided to get one for myself. Very TOUGH! Crashed it a lot and still keeps on flying. Airtime is about 7 minutes. Very easy to fly. YOU NEED ONE!

my kid loves playing with helicopters so i brought so many which stopped working in less than a month but this works fine and still working. i am very happy

Just got this in exchange for the iPhone's Helo TC model and WOW what a difference! I can actually control it and have fun!! If you are intersted check out my review on the Griffin Helo TC, its a pretty detailed review in case you are considering both. I recommend this to anyone, such a fun little gadget.

Bought this for my dad for Christmas., Originally when I saw the size I was tempted to return it, however after reading all the reviews I decided to go ahead and keep it. It flies really well, lights up, lots of fun. You can charge it from your computer! I would definitely recommend this!

Yep... I flew it once. It was fun. Having had experience with these type of helicopters before, I was able to take off and fly around the room with no problem at all, not even a crash. Once the little guy lost his charge I recharged it using the included USB cord plugged into my computer as instructed. After approximately 45 mins, I was ready to fly again. This time, the helicopter flew up for a great take off and quit, falling immediately to the carpet. No damge mind you. Very strong construction. The problem is that the remote control now has to be about a foot away from the helicopter in order for it to receive signal. Obviously, you can not fly it around the room; you can't fly it anywhere. Looking through the instructions, we are advised not to take it back to the store, but to call the company directly. I did this. A nice gentleman listened to my description of what was wrong and advised me to ship the entire thing back to them to see if it qualifies for warranty repair or replacement. When I asked how long that might take, I was told somewhere around 3 weeks. I then asked what was my incentive not to take it back to Best Buy and return it. His response was,"nothing, I suppose." Anyway, I bought two of these... one for me and one for my father for a late Christmas gift. His is still waiting to be picked up at a different location; so, today I will go to that store, pick up his helicopter, swap mine for a new one, and hope to God that both work before I give one to my father.on Saturday. I will update my review after I get the replacement. BTW...just like you, I've only been able to find one or two negative reviews out of many; so, I'm hoping I got the one bad apple out of many good ones.

Bought this toy for my grandson, but my son-in-law used it more than he did. Admittedly, it is a real neat little toy.....and price was very, very reasonable.

I love this little copter, I have crashed several times learning to fly and it is very durable. Be careful when plugging charger in that is pretty fragile. Overall very fun, wish it lasted longer than 7 minutes

This is my first mini helicopter purchase, and was surprised on how easy it is to fly it around the living room! 40-60 min. charge time for about 10 min. fly time. But a very fun 10 minutes! Maybe I will get one more for races.

I must say this is one of the past and I've bought a number of them in the past that were simply built cheap. This is very durable and can hover very steady and stable!

Love this little copter. Even have given a couple of these as gifts. Easy to fly right out of box. Two ways to charge, and good quality.
