Unable to install - cannot remove old filter.

Tried to replace water filter at 6-mos - had to call service at $150 (despite 3-yr warranty.) As a senior I do not have $150 + filter cost every 6 months. Will have to return filter and take a chance with ice cubes. Will write to Whirlpool to ask their advice.

I don't like to use ice and water from my refrigerator without a filter and this was the correct one for my fridge.

Ordered on line and picked up at will call

spendy but does the job usually

The last one however did not fit in correctly or something and after being in for a few months started leaking on occasions. No rhyme or reason to when it would leak. Had to pay a repairman to come in and check out the whole refrigerator only to find out it was a faulty filter. Also I think it is a bit spendy but if you want to filter your water you have to pay the price as there are no generic ones on the market.
