While far from the best Bond film, it is still heads above a lot of the other action films that come out. But if you're looking for good Bond entertainment you're better off skipping this one.

I was disappointed with this movie. I had high hopes after Casino Royale but this movie fell flat.

This movie was hard to follow, very disappointed for a Bond movie that typically are pretty solid.

Said it down loaded ...never got to see the movie or learn where it loaded before the app closed and said thank you. No where was it found on my computer. I don't trust best buy in the movie business as it has too many ways to fowl up my movie viewing experience. Stay away from this.

Very good movie, cool looking steelbook artwork. Best buy needs to ship these metal steelbooks in boxes as mine came in with dents and completely twisted case.

5 of 5 stars for the James Bond 007 action movie: Quantum of Solace. As with every other James Bond movie, you can expect rich big settings with grand sweeping action, exotic international locations and insanely big action. QoS is on par with other Bond movies but is not in my top 10 list. QoS follows the events following Casino Royale (the remake of a few years ago, not the comedy version of the 70's). Daniel Craig plays Bond in both CR and QoS. He is a good, though not great, version of Bond. I do like Judi Dench as "M". She is strong, solid and believeable in the role. The key point to this movie is a new secret organization which MI6 learns of the hard-way. The organization is named Quantum of Solace. QoS turns out to be primarily a "business" organization trying thru illegal means to extract extreme profits from a country. The story has Bond jumping around the world to chase after the bad guys. The downside to this movie is that QoS doesn't really form as a group and the "big bad guys" are not as grand as in other Bond movies. The Blu-Ray of this is stunning with extreme sound quality. Further it is packed with extra contents. I was wondering how they blew-up that hotel. Even with the limitations I mentioned, this is a 5 star movie and well worth the time to watch it.

Make way for the next generation of 007!!!

My wife and I love the new Bond films! This one literally picks up where Casino Royale left off. I know there are those old school Bond geeks that don't like the new Bond and are stuck on the old ones, but I personally think Craig is the best yet! The new Bond films and Daniel Craig have brought on a new era of 007. Don't get me wrong, I still love and respect the old Bond movies I grew up watching as a kid. It's just that the new Bond is more intense and more realistic. Yes, it was cool to watch the old Bonds get shot at and go through explosions, only to pop up without a scratch and straighten thier ties. I like Craig's Bond because when the bullets start flying and the hand-to-hand combat ensues, he's not afraid to get his hands dirty, get banged up, or lose the suit if necessary. He's the roughneck Bond, not the pretty boy Bond. I personally have been taking martial arts all my life, was an amatuer cage fighter at one point in my early to mid 20s, and spent about 8 years in security jobs in which I had to wear a suit. It is almost impossible to be in a full on brawl or engage in hand-to-hand combat with someone and not get a scratch or tear in your suit. In fact, if it got nasty, we would come out of our jackets and wore clip on ties so we could yank them off and couldn't be choked with them. Like I said, this Bond is more realistic than the past Bonds. Not to mention, the new Bond films are much more fast paced, action packed, and intense from the opening scene to the last. I don't think there was a single scene longer than 5 min. in this film without action! I highly recommend this film and Casino Royale!

NO MATTER WHO SAYS WHAT? I BELIEVE IN JAMES BOND

I am not sure why they didn't make this longer when they go to make a James Bond Film, they need to realize we do not want to sit and watch Advert after Advert! I am not happy that there are too many. This is the Blu Ray and or DVD I want to own even though it is shorter than the normal Bond flick. I wonder how in the hay they fit the One Hour and 40 Minutes not 47 Minutes because the Opening credits SOng is about 4 Minutes long I saw the Video not that bad not that wonderful but not a horible Special Effects. There are no more idiotic somwhat naked Bond Girls on the Screen I guess there won't be a tragical death as normal it used to be a good girl died the one we alll thought was not funny ended up being the Bond Girl and that was bad but I am very sure this new Bond Girl may return in the future as she is somewhat new and no9t English Speaking as her first language? I hope the $18.18 after tax I am paying or have alrewady paid the amount is worth my Money and if Blu ray? I see not a change between normal Def and High Def there is no Dif about it here I have a Bi Focal lens maybe that's is the situation and the TV is on the Floor I have a 1080 SOny 42 Inch got it on Sale too. :) Excellent Film no matter what the Critics say what do they know? We the Audience should be Film Critics and I say this is the best one out there buy it before I gobble it up I am buying their entire stock and befoiire you all get your claws into theis Blu ray and dvd';s they will be gone.

    "Quantum" Leap Backwards

22nd Bond film is a ho-hum affair. 007 goes up against the lamest villian who is part of an international organization known only as Quantum. The film is a bit of a let down coming off of the sucess of "Casino Royale", but the action scenes are worth the price of admission. Bond trivia: "Quantum Of Solace" is the shortest running Bond film clocking in at under 2 hours.

Not a Bad Continuation to Casino Royale

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Yes indeed, Daniel Craig has pulled it off as being the best Bond ever. In this continuation to Casino Royale, he hunts down the organization responsible for killing his girl in the first film. The Story has plenty of twists and turns for Bond as he seeks out his target, no matter what the cost to his reputation or his career - everyone is out to get him, even his boss, M. The plot is interesting as the movie moves along, but something seems to missing; a stronger story could have worked better here. This weakness though, is minor. Mr. Craig portrays the character with gritty realism that Mr. Moore never did. All in all, a great adventure. Let's hope his 3rd time around tops his first in Casino Royale.

    Part 2 of "Casino Royale"

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The film picks up literally moments after the last scene from "Casino Royale", so be sure to watch that first, since there is no recap, refresher, what have you. "Quantum" is literally completing the story arc began in "Casino Royale". Since the special features are random and mediocre at best, there is surely a double dip "Special Edition" coming down the pike...most likely when the next Bond film hits the theaters. That is fine with me - i bought the 2 disc special edition of "Casino" on blu-ray when it came out this last November when "Quantum" hit the theaters. As for the movie itself - it is a winner on every level, and i look at this film and "Casino" as one film entirely - which makes for one great viewing! Enjoy!

    This Bond Rocks!!

One of the best Bonds ever, picks up where Casino Royale left off. The action never stops, from the awesome opening car chase scene. Even the roles for the females are getting better, as they are more human, intelligent, a** kicking, and not just beautiful - but they are still gorgeous none the less!! Intelligent action, and a splash of humor - the Bond series is going through a metamorphous similiar to the Bourne series. It seems a bit more "real" and not so far-fetched like the Bonds of old...
