This show is a pleasant surprise headlined by a group of no-name actors. Gist of the plot is that a returrned Vietnam vet has problems readjusting to civilian life. He is in dire straits financially with his personal life in ruins. The ex-soldier is desperate to make quick cash so he reluctantly takes a gig as a hitman, thinking that this will only be a temp job. He soon learns that this sort of profession doesn't lend itself to just putting in a two week notice. Can't wait to watch the next season.

We are hoping that there will be a season 2 of this series - it is a slow starter but patience will be rewarded - wonderful music and beautiful cinematography enhance scripts that suck the viewer into this time period and these characters - the series is based on a series of books by Max Allan Collins but the series take his title character and goes its own way entirely

When I saw this on the shelf I quickly started to read reviews. It seemed like no one gave this show less than five stars and now I know why. Great cast, great acting, great story. Something to binge watch for sure.

It's a little bit dark and it took a couple of chapters to get into this series, but I got there and started to really enjoy the actors and their performances. Definitely a tv series on my recommended list.

Vietnam is sinking into our history and somewhat a distant memory for a few and just a footnote for most - but this is a look back at those that came back from that war theater and how tough it was to re-integrate those finely honed combat skills.

After the first episode and it's emotional hit, I was hooked. Production is well done and it has an storyline that makes you care for the characters, despite their actions as the show goes along.

This dark, violent and thought provoking series from Cinemax amazingly recreates the look, feel and vibe of the 1970's Vietnam era and is very-well acted. Highly recommended.

A good show with a few twists. A good amount of action and drama. Sometimes at times dumbed down characters are a slight drawback but the show keeps a good pace.

Why would I quarrel with Quarry? What question could quietly and quickly dismiss my queasiness? Quality Quagmires! YOLO

I read the 1st book and this is the backstory.... they got Max's vision of Quarry right.... Excellent beginning to a TV show

This is a very well acted and written series , I highly recommend it to anyone who likes gritty shows with great characters.

This was a very good show. Started off a little slow at first but picks up nicely at the end of the season. Can't wait for season 2 !!

IMO Quarry is one of the best shows running right now and I can't wait for season 2.

Quarry was an understated gem from Cinemax. Acting and dialog were both top notch.Hope there is a season 2.
