I have used Quicken heavily since shortly after it was released as a free package. It has served very well ... until it was sold off by Intuit. I attempted to 'modernize' in 2017, but gave up after a brief attempt. They had switched from a 'resident on your machine' program to a web-based app. The data ported over on the second attempt (instructions were less than optimal), and the registers looked familiar, but there were a lot of simple things that seemed to have been changed 'just because', which is counter-productive on software one uses a lot. So I figured that was money wasted, and I went back to my old version (Mac 2007) which still ran great. Then I got a new computer. The old software was incompatible with the new processor, so I was forced to upgrade. The new version of Quicken is an online subscription model. They quote a teasing monthly rate, but bill you for a year in advance! Again, the data ported successfully on the 2nd attempt, and the registers look familiar. But several simple and often-used things that have been present for 40 years are missing! It is not capable of entering such a mundane transaction as a transfer from a checking account to a savings account! That is inexcusable! In the old versions, you could enter a loan with start date, number of payments, interest rate, and amount, and Quicken would build an amortization schedule. Then, as you entered each payment in a register, it would automatically calculate principal & interest payments, and label them accordingly. That functionality is no longer there. All parts of the payment must be individually entered by the user. Yes, it says that it is capable of downloading transactions from your credit card statements or bank account, but I don't need that. It promises to show you nicely colored graphs, but I don't care. I would rather have it do the simple mechanics of everyday finance. It is so bad that I resurrected my old computer, and now run two systems: the old one only for finances, running Quicken Mac 2007 (and I pray the hard drive doesn't crash!) and my new system for the rest of my life. I called customer support, and outlined the problems. The very nice lady confirmed the issues, but refused even a partial refund! Bottom line: this was a classic, highly-useful icon of software that has now become less functional than it was 40 yrs ago. That is not the type of accomplishment to be proud of. DO NOT BUY THIS! Save your money and use one of the free apps you can find. Or use QuickBooks, which is still owned by Intuit.

I’ve used this software for years. I’ve always found it intuitive (some will get that ;-) I used the key to add another year.

We’ve been using Quicken for our home finances for years. We first used it with our HP computer. Continued to use when we got our Apple Computer. Was easy to set up on both computers. Keeps finances organized Works perfect with our online banking with our bank. Both my husband and my self were self employed for years in different business. We both used Quick Books for our finances in business and used til we sold our businesses.

I have used Quicken since the early 90's. I keep it updated with the newest release. It is easy to use and helps keep your finances organized in one place and has a variety of reports that are helpful.

I have been using Quicken since 1998. I have tracked my Personal Finances using Quicken Deluxe Mostly for the last several years. Quicken is an App that I simply cannot live without. I open it multiple times a day to add purchases and deposits, plan my bill to be paid for the month and can see "down the road" where I stand. If you are going to use Quicken I suggest you go full on into it. By that I mean setup all your accounts, all you bills and all your direct deposits so you can use this one great App to see your entire financial life. Quicken is flat out an Indispensable tool for managing your Financial life. Highly Recommend to anyone.

I have been a loyal Quicken user for over 13 years. I love how the product has grown and developed into that time and I can't go without it now. We use it to track our personal accounts, our children's accounts, and our business accounts. We are able to easily track spending, budget for the future, and reconcile our accounts. The features make it far more than just an advanced version of excel!

I have been a Quicken user for many years. I cannot imagine trying to keep up with my finances without Quicken. It is very easy to download your latest transactions from your financial institutions and reconcile your accounts. Once everything is entered, you can sync this online so you have access to your balances and transactions anywhere you go.

I’ve used quicken for more than 20 years. When Intuit sold the product the company switched to a subscription model which seemed annoying but let’s face it, if you’re a user of this software you’ve probably been upgrading every year anyway so it’s really not a burden. My quicken file is over 199 MB and has my 20+ year life in it. This version supports online syncing but it’s still not web based which is a disappointment if you like the cloud - you still are required to use the desktop software. Other than that, it’s same old quicken and I’m happy

I've earned back my money so many times over I can't even count. The budget planning tool is fantastic (they can even link your bills and project your spending!), the debt reduction tool is extremely helpful and overall I find it a simple and effective program for financial planning.

I have used Quicken for approximately 15 + years. It has come a long way. It’s wonderful for downloading your transactions, creating your own customized reports & it makes doing your taxes a breeze. You can also create multiple files for different sets of bookkeeping.

I have been using quicken for a very long time and it has always been a pretty much flawless program. It has gotten a lot better since they split off into their own company a couple of years ago. Great product and I upgrade every year without hesitation.

Program is easy enough to use. I like it because i can track everything financial and track valuable assets.

Been using Quicken for 12 years. It helps me to keep track of my bills, lets me know which bills are coming due. Quicken downloads and updates all my bank accounts, Checking, savings and equity line of credit.

I have been a Quicken user for years. I can create different accounts, track my finances and plan budgets. There are other options that help keep me on top of my finances and help keep me on budget.
