while some smart devices may have questionable value, the usefulness of the Rachio is clear. It's definitely going to save you water!

Was easy to install. Invited our sprinter maintenance guy. Now we don't have to be home for himto work on the sprinklers. The invite can be temporary or permanent.

It's pricey for what you get. I probably didn't need the 16 zones since I use five but I'll take it with me if I ever move again.

This product is OK. Kind of a toy though. It does do what it says but for a little more there are other, more robust options on the market. In the end, I returned this and chose a different product from my irrigation contractor.

I bought my Rachio at BestBuy a few of weeks ago here in San Antonio. I’m a 61 year old guy and I replaced and installed the unit myself. It was so incredibly easy to do! I also do my own maintenance on our 9 station system and it’s been a HUGE time saver when adjusting or replacing heads and nozzles. Amazing overall control. To get in touch with my "nerdy side", I’ve also linked it to my Amazon Dot. Again, really easy to do. Straight up, I haven’t found a truly practical use for the link, but my friends are amazed when they come over and I make the “DOT, start station 3” do what it does. LOL...Their reaction is somewhat similar to when National Geographic shows a remote native tribe a Polaroid photo of themselves. That alone wi worth the price of admission. Bottom line... I love the product!

I have been a Rachio user since the early days of the Generation 1 device. I absolutely love this product! It's saved me a ton of money on water by using the future weather to predict watering times as opposed to past weather and rain sensors. The team at Rachio is extremely helpful and responsive as well. They have integrated with all of my other home automation products (SmartThings, Google Home) and the whole product continues to improve over time. There is no doubt this is the best smart irrigation controller available on the market and it keeps getting better.
