Normally I don't go for the type of film where the plot is just a thinly held element used to back nearly non-stop action scenes. However this film is one key exception. As not a particularly large budget film, the thrills in this movie come from the insane fight choreography. I've never seen anything quite like this. It's truly amazing to behold.

This movie is really fantastic as long as you don't mind reading along with the subtitles. The action scenes and the sense of dread and claustrophobia this film invokes are wonderfully unsettling. The action is bonkers, you couldn't make this movie in America with all the OSHA regulations and safety stuff - this is hardcore in the best way. It's like a living action video game.

The best action movie I have seen in a long time. The beginning is slow but it gets better by the minute. This is a must own for anyone that loves action movies.

If you need to get your fill of some ultra violence, look no further. This movie does not have a great plot so if that is what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. What it does have is over 90 minutes of shooting, fighting and lots of blood. The plot is simple. A SWAT team has to raid a drug lord's building. After the bullets run out, it comes down to knives then hand to hand combat. The body count is high so be prepared... and enjoy!

The martial arts are top notch. I love when a martial arts movie can be set in the modern era with a contemporary plot. The action goes hand in hand with the plot, not just an add-on element. I was also happy to see great martial arts action from a source other than Chinese or Japanese martial arts.

this movie is great for action fans..the fighting is very creative and fast paced..the soundtrack by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park keeps the adrenaline pumping as the action plays out on screen and keeps your eyes glued to the tv screen

If you like action movies, do not hesitate to pick this one up. Incredible fight choreography, brutal impact that you can almost feel. May be light on plot, but the full steam ahead nature of the action more than makes up for it. Those who shy away from violence may want to avoid.

This is a really good movie. To be honest, the movie had to grow on me at first. I didn't like it as much as the second one until I watched it again. I have to say the fight scenes are really good. It is definitely up there with the sequel for me now.

A friend recommended this movie and he said it was a good action flick. This movie is a GREAT!!! action flick and it exceeded my expectations with the amount of action and uncut brutality of the fight scenes!!!

This movie I happened to stumble on after seeing a pretty sweet preview of it. After watching I had to go to best buy and order it. It is hands down the best action martial arts film to come out for a really long time. A great part of the collection for sure!

If you think you have seen some amazing martial arts choreography in films before, wait until you have seen the Raid. I don't think the intensity of martial arts choreography in this film can be outdone. The plot is very basic but you are distracted by the amazing action, so you don't really stop and think of plot details as much.

Overall a great action movie with tons of fight scenes...no over the top CGI stuff at all in this movie. This is a fighting movie, no special effects.

It is an action oriented movie. If you like some Asian action fighting movies, this is a must have. Even though it doesn't look great, and is not made with huge budget, but it has its charm for action fans. Fans will also enjoy behind the scenes materials provided on the disc as well explaining some stunts.

it's a great movie that is constant action from 15 minutes in and on. there is some plot, so if you're a plot person, it might not be enough. mike shinoda from linkin park produces the music, and it plays so wonderfully in the movie

If you like brutal fight scenes with just tons and tons of action than this film is for you. But Like i said before, it get a bit tiresome after awhile. But I know there are those out there who can't get enough of these films.

This is a must have for any action fan. The plot is pretty straight forward, but the action is amazing, very well choreographed. I have been waiting to add this to my collection, a must if you love action, highly recommended.

This is definitely a highly entertaining action movie. The story is simple, but the fight choreography is breathtaking. Highly recommended to fans of the action genre!

If your a fan of action this film has it, from start to finish...I should of picked it up sooner to add to my collection. I also picked up the sequel as well which is another great action packed film!

This is the perfect movie for action and Kung fu junkies. It has the perfect blend of fighting and perfect blend of action scenes all mixed into one awesome movie. Way better than that Expendables ish

nice hard core and relentless action. The pacing is dynamic and the tension escalates throughout. There are some terrific combat scenes, lots of gunfire, and an endless array of hand-to hand fight sequences.
