this movie is entertaining but that's about it not the average Dwayne Johnson movie.

Not a great movie, not a good script but its popcorn fun, and has its moments

This is a great movie to watch in 4K with Dolby Atmos! The picture and sound quality is excellent. The movie is pretty good itself. Enough action to keep you interested and I think the Rock did a good job in this one. Not sure if I remember playing the video game this is made from but I could see them remaking it in the future.

The movie was great, special affects, story line and characters. Full of action. The graphics of this movie is AMAZING, and the feeling that the movie leaves you will, WOW. I haven't had a good cry in a long time. Excellent work that everyone who had anything to do with this movie. I hope that there will be a follow-up.

I saw this movie on the big screen and unlike some other movies it did NOT lose its thrill on the TV screen. It is well done, Duane Johnson was the perfect person for the role. The special effects are indeed AWESOME None of it is lost on the little screeen; that's why I get my DVD's from BEST BUY. You guys are the BEST!

A nostalgic movie from my childhood video game. Other than that, its a meh movie.

Not to bad not great just decent but definitely better than expected

Most people said this was unbelievable but this is a movie. It's all just make believe. I like animal movies even if they are unbelievable. Lots of action and comedy. Of course there are the good guys and bad guys. First time I saw this in the theater I knew I had to add it to my collection. Worth buying.

Video game movies seem to be a hit or miss. The latest one with the Rock is entertaining. You have to put realism aside and enjoy it for what it is (an overstuffed blockbuster action movie). It's not bad and it's not great. It's an enjoyable action movie with CGI monsters and the Rock saving the day.

Fun flick just not a deep film :). Still a good ride with some great bass.

I've never played the game so i have no basis for story comparison. Here's what I can say. There's a fair amount of action and a few laughs. You can smell what The Rock is cooking on this one. What he's cooking is good. The special effects are great. Worth the space on my shelf. Will watch again more than once.

Lets face it. most video games turned into movies are not very good. But this one pleasantly surprised me. It's not the greatest movie ever, but it can be a fun popcorn action flick if you leave your analytical mind at the door. Special effects were good, story was pretty good, and the cast dies a good job.

Currently sitting at 51 on the Rotten Tomatoes Critics score. Probably deserves a 75. Not the greatest but still fun to watch. Some amazing special effects. A little humor helps the movie. Have watched it a couple of times and probably will again at some point.

This movie could easily have been a mindless Kaiju film with humans caught in the battle between three different giant beasts, but it focuses on the connection between an albino gorilla and his friendly primatoloigist. It is interesting to see Jeffery Dean Morgan (Negan from the Walking Dead) play a good guy.

Was totally not what I had expected and was a wonderful movie. This movie has all the ingredients for a top notch movie. From playing the old simple arcade game i didn't expect the dynamics of this motion picture. Good job film crew, actors, all the digital behind the scenes work and story writing.

Good 4K movie, looks great, decent story, The Rock does great again.

Games becoming movies is nothing new. Street Fighter movie, Mortal Kombat movie, even Dungeon and Dragon movie. And they were... eh! But I remember the Rampage game, and it was... eh! But the movie is intense and mainly for entertainment. George, the gorilla, steals all scenes that he is in.

For a movie based on the popular video game it had a surprisingly good story. With a great bond between Duane Johnson (The Rock) and his comedic simian friend George, it makes a a very entertaining movie with beautiful 3D effects.
