I didn't know there was any big diferences but now I know, the ones I purchased in a 24 pack online were not alkaline and don't work at all. These are alkaline and do work. From now on, alkaline for me. .......

Why Pay more for other brands

That said, these were available for a really good price when I needed some, and there's nothing particularly wrong with them.

I have since purchased Eneloop brand rechargeable batteries! For the price of 2 of these I now have industrial rechargeables that rock! I do pro photography and the rechargeable batteries work great in my juice sucking giant camera flashes!
