I bought these several months ago and have used them several times a week when gaming, chatting on Discord, and watching movies. One of my favorite parts about this headset is the ability to put it on and walk around the house without being restricted by cables. The range is decent! Also, the sound quality is nice and crisp. For a gaming headset, I can hear everything I need to without any crackling or other strange noises. Bluetooth headphones don’t have the best rep but these are really good! They’re also comfortable and not too heavy on the head. So, they can worn for a several hours without causing irritation. Battery life is also great. I have to charge my controller more often than I have to charge this headset. Overall, very happy with this compared to aome previous headsets I’ve had! Also, pleased because it’s my first bluetooth gaming headset and it hasn’t disappointed yet!

Review:
I recently purchased the Razer Barracuda X 2022 Edition Wireless Gaming Headset in Quartz for my 7-year-old daughter, and I must say it has been an excellent choice. Here's why:
Color and Design: The Quartz color is a hit with my daughter. It adds a touch of personalization to her gaming setup, and she loves the sleek and modern design.
Comfort: The headset is adjustable and lightweight, making it perfect for kids. My daughter can wear it for hours without any discomfort.
Sound Quality: The audio quality is impressive. It delivers clear and crisp sound, which is crucial for games that rely on audio cues.
Wireless Convenience: Being wireless, it provides freedom of movement without getting tangled in cords. Plus, it's compatible with a variety of platforms, which is a big plus.
Easy Controls: The on-ear controls are straightforward, making it easy for my daughter to adjust the volume or mute the microphone when needed.
Microphone: The microphone is clear and does a great job of picking up her voice during in-game chat sessions.
Durability: Despite being designed for gaming, it's sturdy and can withstand some rough handling, which is a common occurrence with young gamers.
Battery Life: The battery life is decent, and we haven't experienced any issues with it running out during long gaming sessions.
Parental Control: As a parent, I appreciate the ability to monitor and control her gaming time, ensuring it doesn't interfere with her other activities.
Price: While it's not the cheapest headset on the market, the quality justifies the price, and it's an investment in her gaming experience.
Overall, the Razer Barracuda X 2022 Edition Wireless Gaming Headset in Quartz has been a great addition to my daughter's gaming setup. It strikes a balance between functionality, style, and comfort, making it an excellent choice for young gamers. I highly recommend it for parents looking to enhance their child's gaming experience while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Despite their "budget-friendly" price, they have a surprisingly large sound profile with clear highs, balanced mids, and decent bass, making them great for gaming, especially visual/story games with lots of sfx and background noise, and music. The design is pretty minimalist, and the ear cups are comfortable enough for long gaming sessions because of the soft padding and adjustable headband, the padding is also cushioned cloth and not pleathery so it won't flake off after constant usage. Super lightweight making them easy to and wear without causing discomfort even over extended periods. There is a little bit of setup for the headphones but it's very easy and there's a guide (with photos) in the box

I've been using the headset for around a year now and I have nothing but freat things to say about them. First of all audio quality, they simply sound great, and despite not being super loud, they are loud enough for me. Secondly the build quality, despite being made almost entirely out of plastic, the plastic the use feels high quality and premium. I also love the fact that ear cups are not made of cheap/fake leather that wears over time, they are made out of a very comfortable fabric. Third, the battery life is incredible, I can easily get almosy 2 weeks of battery. Finally, the range of the bluetooth is insane. I can comfortably walk around my house while still talking to my friends. Would 100% recommend these to any one not wanting to spend a fortune on a gaming headset.

I sorta upgraded from the older model of the Barracuda X that didn't have bluetooth to this newer version. Same great fit, finish, and sound that I'm used to. The convenience of having a BT connection to swap inputs with a quick 3-tap of the power button is nice. Be aware that these do not play both sound sources at the same time. So you can not have a call or listen to music from your phone while playing and hearing a game. You can swap audio sources and continue to play the game without sound while listening to the BT source. I dropped one star as I've had an issue happen twice now where the volume of the headset is lower than normal after swapping to/from BT a few times during use. Both audio sources volume was low and I had to reboot the headset to get the audio level back up.

These headphones are pretty comfortable. I use a HyperX Quadcast instead of the provided detachable microphone. So not sure how well that would perform.
PROS:
- The sound quality is surprising above average on these. I'd give them an 8 out 10 in terms of overall sound quality. Directional sound in games like PUBG is pretty decent. The bass is strong enough without being overpowering.
- Surprisingly long battery life. I player for 3-5 hour sessions, 5-7 days a week. I typically only have to charge these once a week on average. Was very please with this.
CONS:
- The weakest aspect of the headphones is the optional surround sound software that you have to download and install from Razer. You will need to sign up for an account on the razer website, register your headphones, provide proof of purchase/serial number and then you will be provided with one time use redemption code for the surround sound software. The software suffers from the same problem that all headphones attempting to simulate surround sound do, the sound is made louder and slightly distorted. Listening to music tracks with a strong bass with and without the software, I prefer it without because it is a cleaner and more clear listening experience. In games like PUBG that are reliant on directional audio, the software provides no real advantage. Also, the software takes control of your audio drivers and does not like it if/when you attempt to use other audio devices besides the headphones. I actually had to uninstall the software to use my wired headphones I have as backup when my battery on these is running low/dies.
- Firmware required to cure a "LOW BATTERY" warning defect. After fully charging and using these headphones for the first time, I was greeted with a "LOW BATTERY" warning every time I fully charged and powered them on thereafter. The warning comes on once after power up, and typically once or twice within 5-10 minutes after powering the headset on. Razer has a firmware update you can download from their website that fixes this problem.
Overall I have had a positive experience with these for last several months. If you can pick these up on sale, I highly recommend them. Just make sure to download the firmware update ASAP and avoid the optional surround sound software.

The best things about this headset is the battery life and the sound quality. Both are as good as they claim. Requiring between devices is also as seamless as they claim albeit a bit confusing at first, mostly because initially pairing the headphones to the USB dongle was a 2 hour headache. If the USB port on your PC or other device isn't getting enough power, it WILL. NOT. PAIR. Also the first time you connect to a PC every time it automatically halves the volume, fixed by turning volume all the way down then back up on the device, not the headphones. Otherwise, all functions work as they claim and it's a fantastic headset for the price.
If you are looking for a lightweight pair, these are probably the lightest I've ever worn as well, but the ear cups are not breathable at all so be wary of using for longer periods. Also the adhesive for the cushion on the headband sucks, but easily fixable if it comes off.

This headset was easy to connect via Bluetooth. The sound is awesome, they're lightweight when wearing them, and I do not have a bunch of pressure around my ears. Which is great since I wear glasses.

Great and lightweight but good noise canceling. I prefer a strong bass sound but these are more or less and pretty equal sound. Mic does not work if attached to phone, but works perfectly fine on pc and is good quality. Sometimes however they randomly disconnect and turn off while using sound on PC.

I will never use another headset. This thing works on every single system I own, including my S22 ultra. The dongle for that works amazing. The battery life is great, the sound it great, and even the included mic works well. Bought a second one to keep as a backup. Better than my A40's. Don't pass them up.

It's super comfortable to wear, even during long gaming sessions. The wireless connectivity is seamless, and the battery life is impressive, lasting up to 20 hours. A first class product for the price. it has everything you can ask for this price point - USB dongle for a reliable USB connection, bluetooth pairing to support multipoint, a wired connection if needed and if you are out of charge, and a mic with good voice quality .And above all a great fit for the ear

I've only used these for 30 days, so not sure on long term durability.
I bought these at the same time I bought Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen2 Max.
These aren't built as well as the Turtle Beach headset, and they also don't isolate you from environmental noise as well, but they are half the price, so I don't expect it.
They do have lower clamping force than the Turtle Beach headset, and are comfortable for 4-5 hours - I haven't worn them longer so maybe they won't be as comfortable for long periods. They are more comfortable than the Turtle Beach for the period I have worn them. Apparently I have a big head so the TB headphones exert considerable pressure. They have gotten better as I've worn them but the Barracudas were more comfortable from the first time I put them on.
They do not isolate as well as the TB and so the sound quality isn't as good but I've listened to Techmaster PEB with them and can hear the bass notes down to 20hz. The midrange and highs sound good too.
No complaints from my teammates on sound from the microphone. I can't hear myself, so I'll have to take their word.
Setup was dead nuts simple - plugin the adapter to a USB port turn the headphones on and make sure they are set as default sound and microphone. No extra software to install.
The range on them is better than the Turtle Beach headphones - 20-25% greater range - about 40 feet passing through several walls and a floor.
Build quality is fine - no squeaks or creaks, but not as good as the TB headset.
I've rated these higher than the TB headset because the TBs are twice the cost, but not twice the sound, and the TB takes some breaking in where these don't. I think the TB will hold up better over longer term. I'll be able to test it since I have both.

Razer once again takes the gaming audio experience to new heights with the Barracuda X 2022 Edition Wireless Gaming Headset. Designed to cater to a wide range of gaming platforms, including PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, and mobile devices, this headset combines sleek aesthetics with impressive functionality.
One standout feature of the Barracuda X is its wireless capability, providing gamers with the freedom to move without the constraints of cables. The connectivity is reliable, and the headset seamlessly pairs with various devices, delivering a lag-free gaming experience. The inclusion of a USB-C wireless dongle ensures compatibility with a range of platforms, making it a versatile option for gamers with multiple systems.
The design of the headset is both stylish and comfortable. The Mercury color variant adds a touch of sophistication, while the lightweight construction ensures extended gaming sessions remain fatigue-free. The plush ear cushions provide a snug fit, effectively isolating external noise and enhancing the immersive gaming experience.
Sound quality is where the Barracuda X truly shines. Equipped with Razer's TriForce 40mm drivers, the headset delivers crisp highs, punchy mids, and deep lows, offering a well-rounded audio profile for gaming, music, and movies. The THX Spatial Audio support further enhances the sense of immersion, providing gamers with a competitive edge by accurately pinpointing directional audio cues.
The headset's versatility is complemented by its compatibility with a detachable, unidirectional microphone. While it may not rival dedicated studio microphones, it performs admirably for in-game communication, delivering clear voice reproduction without unnecessary background noise.
Battery life is another strong suit of the Barracuda X. With up to 20 hours of usage on a single charge, gamers can enjoy extended sessions without constantly worrying about battery levels. The quick charging feature is a welcome addition, providing a substantial amount of playtime with just a short charging period.
While the Barracuda X 2022 Edition offers an impressive array of features, it does come with a few minor drawbacks. The lack of customizable RGB lighting, a signature feature in many Razer products, may disappoint some users. Additionally, the on-ear controls, while functional, could be more intuitive.
In conclusion, the Razer Barracuda X 2022 Edition is a stellar wireless gaming headset that successfully combines style, comfort, and versatility. Its broad platform compatibility, top-notch audio quality, and extended battery life make it a compelling choice for gamers looking for a multi-platform solution. While it may lack some of the bells and whistles found in higher-end models, the Barracuda X offers an excellent balance of performance and affordability, making it a solid investment for gamers on the go.

Bought these headphones last year and have been holding up great. Not an audio snob but they sound fantastic, and I rarely have to charge these headphones even when gaming for 6+ hours. Would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a good wireless headset and don't want to shell out $250.00 +

As an avid gamer and music enthusiast, I recently decided to upgrade my audio gear and opted for the Pink Razer Headphones. Right out of the box, I was impressed by their sleek design and vibrant pink color. As a lover of all things pink, these headphones were an instant eye-catcher for me.
Comfort:
The first thing that struck me was the comfort level. The ear cups are generously padded and fit snugly around my ears, providing a pleasant listening experience even during extended gaming sessions or music marathons. The adjustable headband also ensures a perfect fit for any head size, reducing any discomfort from pressure points.
Sound Quality:
The sound quality of these headphones is exceptional. The 40mm drivers deliver crisp and clear audio across the entire frequency range, whether I'm enjoying my favorite tunes or immersing myself in the virtual world of gaming. The bass response is surprisingly punchy for a pair of headphones in this price range, enhancing the overall audio experience.
Noise Isolation:
The passive noise isolation of the Pink Razer Headphones is impressive. It effectively blocks out ambient noises, allowing me to focus entirely on my game or music without any distractions. It's particularly useful when gaming in loud environments, as it helps me stay fully engaged and aware of in-game audio cues.
Build Quality:
The headphones feel sturdy and well-built, indicating that they can withstand daily use and a bit of rough handling. The durable construction gives me confidence that they will last for a long time with proper care. Additionally, the braided cable adds an extra layer of protection against wear and tear.
Microphone:
The built-in microphone does its job well, providing clear voice transmission during gaming sessions and voice calls. However, I noticed that the microphone is non-removable, which might be a drawback for those who prefer a detachable mic.
Connectivity and Controls:
The headphones come with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, making them compatible with a wide range of devices, including PCs, laptops, smartphones, and gaming consoles. The inline controls are intuitive and allow me to adjust the volume and mute the microphone quickly.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, the Pink Razer Headphones are a stylish and functional choice for gamers and music lovers alike. Their attractive design, comfortable fit, and excellent audio quality make them a fantastic option in this price range. While the non-removable microphone and lack of wireless capabilities might be minor drawbacks for some, these headphones are still a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and aesthetically pleasing audio accessory.
