Let me start by saying this: if you’ve been eyeing the Razer Barracuda X, get it now. I picked it up during a price drop—from $100 to just $75—and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been more satisfied with a tech purchase at that price point. This headset doesn’t just meet expectations—it surpasses them.
First off, the unboxing experience was clean and satisfying. The headset came in exceptionally good condition, with everything packed neatly and securely. It felt premium right from the moment I opened it. The matte finish on the headset looks sleek, modern, and clean, and it’s surprisingly lightweight. I could already tell it was designed with comfort in mind.
Once I put them on, I immediately noticed the plush memory foam ear cushions that just mold to your ears. I wore them for hours straight and felt zero fatigue—these are built for long gaming sessions, movie marathons, or just chilling with music. The adjustable headband also has just the right amount of tension without squeezing your head.
Now let’s talk about performance. The audio is incredibly clean. You get that deep bass, sharp mids, and clear highs without anything sounding too overwhelming. The 40mm Razer TriForce drivers really deliver. Whether I was playing Call of Duty, watching YouTube, or listening to music, the sound quality stayed consistently rich and immersive. The soundstage is wide enough that you can easily pick up direction in games—footsteps, gunfire, environmental detail—all crisp and distinct.
The detachable cardioid mic? Surprisingly good. People could hear me loud and clear, and the background noise cancellation is on point. I wasn’t expecting studio-level quality from a wireless mic, but it honestly held up really well for game chat and even casual calls.
But here’s the part that blew me away: compatibility. This thing works with everything—PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, Android, and even devices with USB-C. I just plug in the wireless dongle, and boom—instant connection. No delays, no software installation, nothing. It’s just pure plug-and-play magic. I even tried it on my phone and tablet, and it worked flawlessly.
Battery life is another win. I’m getting around 20 hours on a single charge, and it charges via USB-C which is fast and convenient. No more scrambling for random cables. And because it’s wireless, the freedom to move around without being tethered is just something you don’t realize you’re missing until you have it.
To wrap it up, the Barracuda X was a steal at $75. I had high hopes for it, but Razer really overdelivered. Between the comfort, audio quality, build, compatibility, and overall design—this headset is a no-brainer. It feels like a premium experience at a mid-range price, and honestly, it deserves more hype.
If you still have the chance to grab it at that price, don’t even hesitate—just get it. You’ll thank yourself later.

The Razer Barracuda X (2022 Edition) is everything I needed in a wireless headset—and more.
It’s incredibly lightweight and comfortable, even after hours of gaming or listening to music. The memory foam ear cushions feel great, and the headband sits perfectly without pressure. I use it across multiple devices—PC, PS5, Switch, and even my phone—and the plug-and-play experience is flawless.
The audio quality is surprisingly powerful: crisp highs, punchy mids, and deep bass without distortion. The detachable mic is clear and clean during voice chats, with no complaints from teammates.
Battery life is excellent—easily lasts a couple of full days of use without needing a charge. I also love that I can switch from my PC to console without having to repair or mess with settings.
This is a premium headset without the premium price tag. Razer nailed it.
Highly recommended for gamers who want freedom, comfort, and quality sound on every platform.

The Razer Barracuda X (2022) has completely won me over. Whether I’m gaming wirelessly or plugged in, the audio quality is consistently impressive—clear highs, solid mids, and surprisingly punchy bass for a headset this lightweight.
The dual wireless and wired options make it incredibly versatile. I love being able to switch between my PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch without hassle. The USB-C dongle makes pairing fast and simple, and the wireless connection is rock-solid with zero noticeable lag. When I need to conserve battery or just want that wired connection, the included cable is super convenient.
Comfort-wise, this headset is a dream. It's ultra-light, and I can wear it for hours without any pressure or fatigue. The detachable mic is a nice touch too—clear voice pickup, and easy to remove when I just want to listen to music or watch videos.
Battery life is also fantastic, lasting me days between charges. Honestly, for the price and the features packed into this headset, it’s one of the best out there. Whether you're gaming, chatting, or just relaxing with music, the Barracuda X delivers every time.

Razer's commitment to comfort is evident in the Barracuda X's design. The lightweight construction ensures extended gaming sessions remain comfortable, while plush ear cushions provide a snug fit that effectively isolates external noise. The on-ear design strikes a balance between comfort and portability, making it suitable for both home and on-the-go gaming.

The USB-C wireless dongle simplifies the setup process, ensuring a hassle-free connection.

Conclusion:
The Razer Barracuda X 2022 Edition stands out as a wireless gaming headset that successfully balances comfort, versatility, and audio performance. With its broad platform compatibility, impressive sound quality, and thoughtful design, it caters to gamers who want a single headset that can seamlessly transition between different gaming environments. While it may lack some premium features found in higher-end models, the Barracuda X offers a solid wireless gaming experience at a competitive price point.

I bought the 2019 version and loved it, so I upgraded to the Razer Nari with haptic feed back and it was too much; too heavy and with a new baby too noise canceling.
I came back to the Barracuda because it is light weight and comfortable for hours; I hardly even notice it most the time. Battery life it also fantastic I can go for a full day easily completely wireless. It is still very noise canceling, but its very comfortable to have one ear muff off to side to present in your surroundings.
the PS5 dongle attachment means it takes up a plug slot, but its shape means you can still use the adjacent USB slot, so if you have every single plug spoken for on your console you probably want brand specific headset.
speaking of dongles it comes with them all, so you can use this headset anywhere for anything comfortably.
the Kraken is another good choice if you like Razer products with RGB and all the fancy bits, but the Barracuda will stay my head set as long as they sell them.

I’ve had the Razer Barracuda X wireless gaming headset for a little over three weeks, and for the price, I’m extremely satisfied. I picked up the black pair from my local Best Buy for $80, and they’ve been amazing for my PS5.
Pairing with my PlayStation was seamless, and it connects instantly every time now. The headset does come with an aux cord which is a great backup for when I forget to charge, though the battery lasts impressively long. The headset is comfortable for large size heads with its soft headband and adjustability, making the headset comfortable to wear for hours.
I have been using the headset to play mostly first-person shooter games, and the sound doesn’t disappoint, making it easy to pick up footsteps. Plus, the mics quality keeps my teammates happy. Overall, I’m loving this headset and definitely prefer it over my previous Astro A10 and Turtle Beach Stealth headset, which are in the same price range

These headphones have great sound and great range. I can wear them for quite a while before ear fatigue kicks in. The micrphone being able to be removed is a great feature. Battery life is fantastic. I like the fact that i can plug in with a 3.5mm cord as well.
