Razer has always been my go to brand for everything gaming! Have never had a bad product from them!

Gaming headsets are crucial for gaming these days to be able to immerse yourselves in the game. For me I have had lot of gaming headsets through the years as I appreciate high quality sounds and reproduction of sound clarity for pinpointing in intense games. Pros: Professional Build Quality Lightweight Superior Comfort Sound Production accuracy Cons: RGB Battery Life My testing of the Barracuda X Chroma was conducted over multiple use phases and devices. I utilized them on the PC, Steam Deck and PS5. Connectivity was very simple once all dongles were used and connected seamlessly through the 2.4GHz connection and the Bluetooth 5.3. I didn't experience any disconnects through the roughly 79 hours of testing. Sound review: The sound reproduction came from Razers tri-force 40mm drivers that are encased in oval breathable comfort cups. The drivers are on the mdi range of materials used by Razer as their higher and more expensive models utilize titanium drivers and bio cellulose 50 mm drivers. The 40 MM driver is your standard driver to produce moderate surround sound while keeping the accuracy in line with standard. The app does allow you to customize your sound wave to your liking. Testing these in COD Blops 6 was a fun experience as the basses were heavy while the foot steps were audible enough to pinpoint where they were coming from. These lasted roughly 28 hours of full usage over 2 days when the RGB light six zones were activated. I did use the app to change the colors and played around some with the zones so that may have used more battery. Second round of testing was switch through all three devices, PS5, PC and Steam deck with no chrome option on. The headset lasted just shy of 67 hours of full usage and zero standby and always shutting off after each use. That's pretty impressive performance for intense gaming sessions. The mic was good as my teammates in discord and in game said they didn't hear any popping or crackling. They stated I was clear and didn't sound like I was in a well. Final Thoughts: The Razer Barracuda X Chroma headset delivers optimal performance for this price point for gaming. The sound reproduction is above average and hits the right marks in gaming scenarios where precision is key. While there is room for improvement due to the limitation of the drivers, these limitations can be offset through the app tweaking features. In the end, this headset will serve any gamer for years to come thanks to its superior build quality and ample features. Side note: This headset has surround sound function and can have THX Spatial Surround addon for an additional $20 in the app. I purchased it and well its kind of an intense experience but I wonder how much better it would sound with more premium drivers.

Looked good and was well packaged. I purchased to match the rest of my razer rgb stuff and it synced as expected. The sound quality wasn't as good as the steelseries arctis it replaced though so I ultimately returned it.

I needed a replacement for my old ones same model but it was the 2021 which only lasted 20 hrs which became a problem as i use them daily

It’s good, but not great. The price of $130 is worth it. I got it for $160 after protection plan.

Pretty but lack luster. You get the razer rgb, you just don't get that strong clean sound like any of the black shark models. Looks cool and comfy, fits over ears but lacks that solid sound. Also even tho it has 2 dongles for pairing I had to take the main one out of my playstation and connect to the other that's in the pc.

Upgraded from the barracuda x to this chroma. Love the customizable eq and all the extras vs the regular one.

I was excited for these after watching several reviews and the mic even seemed decent. However it sounds very muffled and robotic. In addition the sidetone sounds like you are talking through a tube. Only thing that i really enjoyed was the comfort. Sound was average, had a decent amount of bass and didnt drown out the other frequencies but overall it lacked alot of detail. It sounded like a $20 pair of no name headphones.
