They are okay. Material could be better and the dongle doesn't attach to all devices. Good idea, bad execution.

If you use this wireless, you have to change sound settings every time you use this and again when you stop using it.

In my search for a versatile gaming / work headphone I picked up the Razer Barracuda X based on its compatibility with mobile, PC, and PS4. Overall I found this headset to be a well rounded offering for gaming, teleconferencing, and streaming music / movies. In the box are the headphones, USB C dongle, USB A cable, USB charger, audio cable and logo decals. Setup is easy, on my Samsung android mobile I connect the USB C dongle into the phone charging port and can seamlessly stream with no further setup required. For gaming or PS4 I use the USB A to USB C cable and dongle. Sound range from dongle is 25' through and around walls, I expect even further for line of sight. One negative is that the USB C dongle is wide, so phones need to be removed from cases and if you have anything in nearby ports on laptop or console you cannot use the dongle directly without the USB extension cable. As far as build quality, these are middle of the road. I'm not confident these will withstand my teen's level of wear and tear after months of use or being dropped. I think this is the tradeoff for being so light weight at this price point. The headphones pivot for comfort, both up down and swivel left right. The headband flexes without providing too much pressure on the ears. I'm very picky about band comfort and was surprised that this headset is suitable for hours of wear without a break and zero ear discomfort. The band is foam padded for comfort, as are the ear cups, but the foam is not removable to clean / replace. The controls are on the left ear and include (in order from bottom up) mic port, USB A port, audio cable port, power button, volume wheel, and mute. The mic is removable and flexible to move out of the way or take completely off. Overall an 8/10 for build and comfort for extended wear. As far as sound quality, that's where this headset is surprisingly good for the price point. The sound quality is not music hall quality, but it does have a moderate level of depth and range for music. For gaming I find that the subtle nuances are clear and distinct, the sound location is accurate and enhances game play over not having a headset. There are slight noise canceling properties due to the over the ear style, and the mic is clear and does not pick up nearby background noise. No complaints, 10/10 sound quality for price value. Overall, I'm not sold on the USB C dongle approach, but with the tradeoff being versatility to swap to multiple devices, it's a decent trade off. I think these make a solid comfortable headset to take with you to the office, on the go, or paired with your favorite gaming platform.

Very Sad This Didnt Work For Me

Sadly, I have to rate this headset one star. I first purchased this headset and the speakers in it were very very quiet. Went even quieter when I joined a party chat. I knew this wasn't normal bc my bf has the same headset but in black. It was also very staticky and laggy during game play at times so I returned for an exchange. After a week went by I had to return to the store because they told me they couldn't ship it to my house. I went and picked it up, immediately went home and started unboxing it. I plugged everything in and was starting up my game.. I heard noise for 2 seconds then static in one speaker and then absolutely nothing. I was so upset. I didn't want to wait any longer for another headset to come in so I had to find a different one in store. Very sad this headset did not work out for me because I love this brand and the pink.

Received these as part of BestBuy's Tech Insider Network. Was excited to receive the Razer Barracuda X Wireless Headset as I was looking for a set to to use with my PS5, that could be usable on my Switch, PC and phone. After using them for a week, the $99 price point is more than reasonable considering the combability reach it provides. The headphones are super discreet, lightweight and comfortable. The mic is really clear and doesn't seem to distort. Has all the cables necessary to make sure you can get connected and continue gaming. The only negative I have is that the dongle to make them work with a mobile phone requires you to remove the case, which in certain scenarios is really inconvenient. Overall, I love the value and range of compatibility the Razer Barracuda X's provide!

In the market for a new gaming headset that’s multi- platform and delivers high quality audio that’s coupled with design and comfort? The Razer Barracuda X wireless headset delivers on all those aspects. Comfort- the headset is lightweight for those long gaming sessions and fades away on your head. Ear cup and headband are very soft and inviting. The audio quality is top notch wether you are on your PS5, or PC then on the road with the switch. It all delivered crisp tones, bass and general balance. The design with swivel ear cups and cross platform 3.5 mm Jack allows you to expand your range and connection options. I didn’t notice Any interference with the wireless aspect. This is truly an awesome headrest that set the bar in multi platform headsets.

I’d purchase this product for my daughter and she’d liked the reviews of the spec, but once starting to use,the mic had stopped working.I am in the process of trying to find a replacement or find out how to get this fix especially for the deal or price I’d paid.

Purchased this gaming headset for my boyfriends birthday. It has everything a gamer needs. However, the detachable mouth piece is extremely loose to the point that any quick movements results to it falling out. Thats not even the worse of it all im afraid. The headset doesnt even work, like at all. We've followed the instructions to a T and his friends cant hear him when they play. Honeslty, i was really excited to give this to him, but seeing as the basic function did not work, i may just purchase a different headset.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Barracuda X headset! I use it on my PC and PS5 and the sound quality is really awesome. The directional audio on PS5 has saved my life more than once already, and it sounds great streaming music on my PC as well. Battery life is several hours and these are super comfortable to wear during marathon gaming sessions too!

I love the look of this headset. It is definitely low key and can be easily used for work and play. The sound is loud and clear especially for the slim profile. I love the boom mic as I those mics always make me come in loud and clear. The mute button is mechanical and shows green when you can talk. You can’t see this when the headset is on but right before you put it on you can visibly see what position it is in which I find very helpful. It does not sync to your computer mic but is separate if you were hoping for that. You hold down the power button to turn it on and off and it auto shuts off for awhile too. I haven’t been able to kill the headset by leaving it on and walking away for a few hours which is really nice, it also lasts hours without any issues. I love the cords that came with it, the Aux is always a nice backup, but the USB extension cord for the dongle is a nice touch for the PC desktop gamer if that is your speed. But speaking about the dongle… I love the design. It is extremely easy to change my grip just slightly on my phone, the wider longer profile is really nice for all of my devices (phones, switch, laptop) except my work PC… but the extension cord fixed that. Overall, I love the design of the dongle.

I typically do not review an item if i did not like it. Unfortunately with these they sound is horrible. It sounded distorted. The sound was also quite weak when hooked up to a phone. To tweek settings, they are hiddened behind a paywall and i was not going to spend more money to make them sound better. I chose to return them for something better.
