Responsive mouse. Feet are super smooth. Over all feel in my hands is very relaxed and comfortable for long periods. The 'sniper key' is a little too far forward for use without risking pulling the mouse in a direction accidentally, but I find it is great for a dpi shift when using a drawing program. Battery life has been pretty good and only have had it go low a few times on me when I've forgotten to place it on the charger for multiple days. I've had no issues with the software, and the ability to control liftoff and land distance on the sensor and the overall ability to customize lighting effects has been really nice and I was able to figure it out within a few attempts as this was my first time with a Razer Chroma effect device.

Upgraded to this from a Razer Mamba, and it's so much better. My old mouse was having issues here and there with misclicks, and I happened to see this one sale so I grabbed it. This uses the new optical switches, so they should last way longer, first of all. Second, wireless is the way to go. Battery life is amazing, losing about 7% after 6 hours of use, RGB set to 20% brightness. The dock is a great way to charge up as well as being a holder for the USB dongle to keep it closer to the mouse. Overall I'm a huge fan of this as an upgrade.

    Great coming from a G502

If you have a G502 and looking for a wireless version, this is for you. The shapes are very similar but also introduces features that the regular G502 doesn’t have such as the scroll wheel resistance which changes how the scroll wheel feels like. You do lose the hyper scroll and the two extra buttons on the left of the left click from the G502, but I never really used those anyway. You also barely plug the mouse in to charge since the dock is very convenient nearby. If you do need to charge however, you can use the cord which is very light, similar to a paracord.

I picked this up on sale for $99.99 and after using it would definitely say its worth it at $169.99. Weighted well, glides perfectly on my hard mouse pad, and can set up the buttons exactly how I want. My only complaint about the buttons is one of the "11 programmable buttons" is actually the button underneath for saving pre programmed profiles, and one is the sensitivity clutch to use while sniping. Beyond that it was good battery life, zero lag, and have had no issues so far after a month of use

Upgraded from an original mx518. No perceptible lag. Mouse wheel is much better and adjustable. Side scroll is nice. >80% charge even after a full days use, then just plop on the dock while I sleep. All RGB can be turned off. You dont need an account to customize through software, just continue as guest. Some customizations require the software; some can be saved directly to the mouse bypassing that. The software does phone home 3 times a minute with no way to turn off...annoying to see it blow up my firewall logs.

The Razer basilisk mouse is an absolute game changer. It's lightweight, comfortable and the hyper speed technology ensures that I never miss a beat. The charging dock is also a great addition, allowing me to easily recharge my mouse without having to worry about cords. Great mouse, I like how I can use wired or wireless. It's comfortable in my hand while gaming, I like how my thumb rests on a ledge instwad of having to hold onto the mouse. It has a really quick repsonse time whether it's wireless or wired. Just overall great quality in my opinion.

Best Buy had both this mouse and the Logitech G502 on sale at the same time. I purchased both with the plan to keep the one I liked most. The Razer is very similar to the G502 in design. It favors slightly smaller hands or grips compared to the G502. I did find myself missing the dual mode scroll wheel of the G502 but I do like the scroll up/down function of tilting the mouse wheel left or right. I also like that the Razer includes the charging stand where the G502 has to be plugged in to charge. The performance of the wireless was great - either it is so fast or my skill can't tell the difference between wired or wireless modes. I ultimately returned both the Logitech G502 and the Razer Basilisk in favor of the ASUS ROG Chakram. The deciding factor was the Chakram offers both 2.4ghz wireless and Bluetooth where the Logitech and Razer are 2.4ghz only. This would really only matter for times you are using a PC or laptop and want to keep a USB port free. Otherwise, the Basilisk and G502 are extremely similar. Only real difference is the function of the scroll wheel and the size of the mouse. It will come down to preference when deciding between the two mice - I don't think you can go wrong either way.

So I am a Logitech fanboy, I will state. I had two Logi G502s which crapped out on me at the same time. I would have one at the desk(fiance works from home so got more use) and one in a padded travel bag for my laptop otr gaming wherever work took me. I loved the G502s hyperscroll, weight and sensor. Though due to two crapping out the same day on two different systems(her crap vdi system for work, my $3k laptop) mid ice storm.. I ran to the store. Bestbuy wasn't open so I found myself picking up a Corsair M65 ultimate whatever... at wally world.. Just trying to get back in the tarkov realm with my time off work.. The lift off point and spazzing from the way I use a mouse.. Just was on the way out the door in 15 minutes of use. This mouse, finally I will get to. It doesn't have hyperscroll for me to fly through my stash, excels, etc. BUT I think I will live as I refused to roll the dice with another g502. The feel of this is identical in my boney hand as the 502. I love the fact I got this for half the cost of the lightspeed wireless, I'd be an idiot not to pull the trigger at this price point. Still have to tweak the dpi but my aim accuracy is back to where I am used to. I've had another razer wireless mouse in the past I just gave to my brother as I need this ergo design or my carpal tunnel acts up.. Long ramble short. If you're contemplating this or the viper. I would go with this if you're used to g502 styled mice. Viper if you're used to other form factors.

    Perfect fit for fingertip grip

Finding the right mouse has been an ongoing struggle for me - the right mouse for work isn't a great fit for gaming, and who wants to spend this kind of money for a work mouse? This mouse strikes the right balance of weight and size for my hand. After much searching, I finally realized that the reason I struggled was because I use a finger-tip grip, which seems a little less common. Most mice are designed for palm or claw grips. The mouse needs to be on the smaller side, but have enough contour and grip to easily move it with light touches, and this one ticks all the boxes. I was nervous buying online due to COVID, but used the reviews at Rtings to help decide. The dock is basically a must-buy; it makes recharging very easy, and you can set the dock to change colors with the charge level, so no more surprise dead mouse mid-game (important since the battery is internal). Battery life seems pretty solid, I've gotten multiple multiple-hour sessions out of it before even considering a charge. The USB adapter sits in the dock, so connection shouldn't be an issue. There's also a spot to store it in the mouse if you travel with it. The Razer software is pretty easy to use and you can go all-in on the nerd lights or turn them off if you want. I did have to really crank down the scroll resistance to get it where I wanted it (free-flowing), but that's easy to do via the adjustment on the bottom of the mouse. I hope this lasts longer than previous mice I've purchased from different companies... who shall remain nameless since this isn't a review of their products.

I had the non rgb wireless version of this mouse and it is by far my favorite mouse. I liked the thought of having RGB on it as well as a higher DPI and more customization. I was underwhelmed by the battery life when compared to my old mouse which took 1 cheap battery every 5-6 months. Even after getting aggressive with the power saving settings this mouse still did not last very long and every time it would fall asleep or wake up it would awkwardly mess up the rythm of the dock and keyboard and they would suddenly revert back to the beginning of their color cycle after going dark for a moment. I tried using the mouse while plugged into the usb cable provided with the dock and not only did it immediately remind me why i dislike wired mice, it wouldn’t even work. It took over 45 seconds for it to partially connect and once it did the mouse buttons stopped responding for a while and switching back to wireless did not fix it right away. The process of having to unplug the dock was not very ideal either. The razer software was cool but it was a constant memory hog and seemed to wake my computer from sleep within a few seconds of shutting it off every time. When this happened none of the rgb on the keyboard or dock would turn back off and because my computer is in my bedroom that was unacceptable. This mouse was still great, my problems were more with the keyboard, dock, and software, but it was still enough for me to return it.

I got this to go along with my Razer Blade 15 and i love it. It is incredibly responsive and the RGB lighting can be syned with my keyboard. The customization is amazing, you can customize every button, the lighting, and the sensitivity of the mouse. Really great battery life too.

Excellent mouse. Has a great feel in responsiveness and physically. The charging dock is weighted perfectly so it doesn't tip or rock and the pad on it really makes it stick (not like tape or glue or anything) and not slide. Just wish Razer made more of their mice and pads like Logitech's Q charging pad system so you remove the need for the charging dock altogether.

I already own a Basilisk V2, but I use this one for wireless gaming in the living room. For me this is the best shape, while being a bit lighter than the G502. I also find the button lay out less clunky, such as the DPI buttons not being in the way of your left click. The G502 has an infinite scroll wheel, but I think the Basilisk’s scroll wheel feels a bit better since your can adjust it to your preferred resistance. Battery life is good, the charging dock works great, and this mouse feels extremely snappy with the wireless USB option. And to top it off, I just think it looks stealthier than the G502. Perfect for larger hands and palm grip.

Always been a little hesitant when shopping for wireless gaming mice/keyboards since it can be hard to find one that checks all the boxes. I'd check out the available selection at the local Best Buy but fail to find one I'd really like. A coworker mentioned the great success he had with one of Razer's variations of this mouse and I managed to snag this at a good deal (little over $100) with the dock so figured I'd take the chance. I haven't been disappointed. It's a very smooth experience, especially with the DPI toggle right under the mouse wheel, and fits perfectly in my hand. I did notice the battery life isn't as great as I would've expected from the estimated life on the specs page, but a little tinkering with the RGB lighting alleviated this somewhat. Just need to remember to redock it every other night and problem is solved (getting there). Pairs well with my Razer Tartarus v2 with Razer's Synapse software. A few extra buttons on the side, but nothing to get overwhelmed with, definitely a bonus. Definitely recommend it if you don't want to shell out some extra bucks for some of the higher end models. Can't go wrong.
