I purchased a Basilisk with high hopes but it turned out to be quite shoddy. A few days later, the RGB lighting on the left side of the mouse couldn't display green hues and the scroll wheel was stuck on scrolling up, rendering the mouse unusable. I would not recommend that anybody purchase this mouse, especially at $170.

In the beginning it was a really good mouse, but ask him a buy I noticed that it would stop responding And it would be a struggle to get it to respond again to my computer.

So I bought these in hopes to customize my RGB with my other razor products, but this product loses random connection to the actual pc and it is very frustrating. I’ve updated drivers and everything else.

This is the WORST mouse I have ever purchased. Im almost 1000% sure this was a refurbished device and they sold it as new. It turns off EVERY 3 minutes, and no it isn’t from being idle or low battery, its CONSTANTLY charged and the “chroma” effect is NONEXISTENT.

I used to like razer. Now this company is crap. Had this mouse less than 2 months and it crapped out. Left clicker doesn't click. Don't buy razer, its all junk. Their headsets, keyboards, all crap. I've bought multiple razer items, but all junk before the end of life.

Haven’t had the mouse more than 6 months and the dock has already failed as well as the optical sensor. For 150$ definitely not worth anything close to that amount. This mouse you are paying for the brand name. Very disappointed in this mouse from razer

the mouse is very smooth and easy to use. But the LED on the charger has quit working. I've only had the mouse a month. Disappointing to say the least. What else may be marginal? Not worth the cost.

Good mouse but a step back for razer.

This mouse was purchased to replace my 2014 Razer naga ultimate so everything here will be said in comparison to this mouse. ***This is an in-depth review.*** To start it is an okay mouse. The RBGs are pretty bright (so far) and razer has a ton of options when it comes to customizing them. **HOWEVER** Arguably my biggest issue with this mouse is that while touting RGB customizations, it doesn’t allow you to change the color while charging, as in, while it is docked which is it’s most appealing and show off-ish position. (Disclaimer: the razer software used to control all of these functions are not very user friendly so it may just be poorly labeled however after a few hours of messing around with it I wasn’t able to change the docking/charging color.) This is really a bummer because I have a full purple and blue set up and while my naga allowed me to customize to purple while charging, this mouse is far more illuminating but only illuminates green and yellow while charging even though this mouse uses color customization as a selling point where the naga did not. As well, the mouse seems to lose its initial color frequency if it sits for about 5 mins. Meaning while I have a void purple set as a static color, it will switch itself to a pink hue, and then promptly change to purple. Minor inconvenience. As for the build, it’s okay. It’s not worth $170 in my opinion especially considering the major step backwards in material used and build design compared to a naga ultimate from 6 years ago. The click of the buttons is lighter but doesn’t feel as well built. The naga ultimate had a strong hefty click that felt like it would be reliable for years (6 years and counting) the basilisk has a lighter, more swift click but lacks that hearty well built feel. The mouse itself is extremely light, it doesn’t come with any adjustable weights so if you don’t like extremely light mice then I wouldn’t recommend this mouse. Personally I’m not a fan of the weight but I believe this is due to my hands being slightly larger than most not due to a lack in design. Which brings me to my next point, this mouse is not large hand friendly. I find myself searching for a comfortable position to grip this mouse constantly. I believe this is because I have gotten used to there being individual contours and finger rests, for both your ring finger and pinky, on the right hand side of the naga ultimate that this mouse severely lacks (would’ve brought my rating to 5 stars honestly). However it seems the basilisk ultimate has done away with the ergonomic design and just left the right hand side of the mouse to be flat with a slight indent for just your ring finger, meaning your pinky might feel out of place, or that it doesn’t have a place at all on this mouse. The dock itself is a slight upgrade from the naga ultimate as they have integrated a halo of RGBs around the base as well integrating a magnet system to secure the mouse in place and help with placement (you kind of just feel around for the magnets to clip since it docks to the bottom of the mouse). This was a severe upgrade from the naga ultimates charging dock. Performance. This mouse performs great, up to 21,000 dpi (I will never utilize this but it definitely performs). I tend to stay around 9000 dpi and really like that you can feel the adjustments in real time. Battery is great as well, while I have never tested the full 100hrs of battery they claim, I have yet to have it die on me even in my lengthiest gaming sessions back to back. I had used the mouse for 2 separate gaming sessions (around 6 hours each) and left it off the charger over night between them and was still sporting about 65% battery so I believe this claim would hold up. In conclusion I believe if razer would have taken some small design points from previous models (such as the ergonomic design or charging color customization) this mouse would destroy the competition no problem. However I can’t get over the fact that every session I use the mouse my hand feels awkward due to a lack of ergonomics. Therefor I have to give this mouse a 3/5 and would still rather have another naga ultimate than this or the trinity (as that was a huge step backwards for the naga series).
