Good wireless mouse with good customization.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased Jan 2022. Still going. Pros: Much more comfortable than the Logitech 502 mouse (dont know how anyone rates that as the best one). The charging base make it handy to easily charge. Mouse is a good weight, the 2 thumb buttons took a bit getting used to (since i was used to 4) but they serve me. The "Sniper" button is handy for temporally reducing the DPI. It can store multiple profiles, which is handing for switching and also allows for a "shift" function to nearly double the assignments. LED's can be REALLY bright. I generally keep the mouse around 10% brightness and the base at 4% (this should also help extend the life of the LED's) Mouse can be used wired if needed, which is always a good backup option to have. (That way, when the battery does eventually die, I should {in theory} still be able to use the mouse). I mainly got this mouse because of the advertised long life button switches (this was the part that died on my 502). Id never had switches die until the 502, so i hope these do last for the life of the mouse. Cons: The Synapse software that controls it... could use some improvement. Sometimes it will reset the LED's which is annoying. I use the mouse LED for theme color, and the base LED for battery level, though i wish i could configure the battery level colors as i find it to be a bit misleading as to what colors it chooses for specific %. Sometimes when the mouse goes to sleep due to inactivity, it can take me clicking and moving the mouse a fair bit before it will actually wake up again. Given im used to Logitech scroll wheels, im a bit bummed that this scroll wheel doesn't act the same (ie with a button to release the detentes and let it free spin). That function i find handy for scrolling long pages of code or inventory. But that may be a patented logitech feature. One ive learned to live without. Speaking of the scroll wheel, it is a big too sensitive. It can (and does) register a movement even without actually hitting the next detente on the wheel. I find in games, with just me accidentally brushing over the wheel my weapons or hot bar items switch without me intending them to, making it a bit annoying during gaming sessions. Battery is not made to be owner replaceable (kinda wish it used a AA rechargeable instead) Aside from the 'false' scroll wheel registers, the other issues are actually fairly minor and *can* likely be fixed with firmware updates (but its been almost two years and Razor still hasn't corrected it), just a bit annoying at times. Overall, its a good wireless mouse, and i do prefer this charging method over the induction "mousepad" chargers. (keeping a battery constantly charging is bad for the battery anyway, unless they include charge-bypass tech which isnt even mainstream in phones yet, so this is extremely unlikely).

Best mouse I've ever used.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome mouse. I am a bit of a razer fanboy, but I really like this mouse. The closest thing i can compare it to is the logitech g502, but this is better. It has more RGB, if that matters to you, and it also has the scroll wheel adjustment which is way better than any other mouse I've seen. It has an actual scroll wheel resistance wheel to adjust it. 100% happy with my purchase. The charging dock is a huge plus, but it can also be wired with the charging cable as well. All around a great mouse. Only downside is that its a little small compared to my previous mouse that was the razer mamba wireless, but not a massive difference.

best one yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Historically I have never been all that impressed with Razer's mice. Either the shape doesn't work, the feet don't provide enough stability, the sensor wasn't what I wanted, etc. Because of those reasons I was always a Logitech guy. With all that said, I still decided to give this Basilisk a try. My search for the perfect mouse is finally over. The shape is perfect, its comfortable, optical main buttons, easy to reach side buttons, light weight, and the glide of the teflon feet on my Destructor 2 mouse pad is not even something I can explain. You'd have to try it for yourself. It's smooth as glass, but yet I can feel just enough grain in the pad to give the perfect balance of speed and precision. Everything that I look for in a mouse is here. The charging dock is a very nice touch, and interestingly enough you can set it to read the battery life of the mouse, and the dock changes color depending on how much gas is left in the tank. A lot of people complain about the synapse software. As long as it's running, it's fine. There have been a few occasions where I had to start it manually because for some reason it didn't start when my PC booted to the O/S. Other than that it works quite well. All in all, I am extremely impressed. It's expensive of course, but most great things are.

This mouse has taken my gaming experience to the next level. The precision and responsiveness are truly unmatched. The customizable buttons and scroll wheel resistance make it a breeze to tailor to my gaming preferences. Plus, the wireless capability is a game-changer – no more tangled cords! It's comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions, and the RGB lighting adds a cool aesthetic. Overall, a top-notch gaming mouse that deserves every one of its five stars. Highly recommended!

Bad Product: Razer Basilisk
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 10 months of regular use: first person games, and work on a daily basis, the mouse scroll is moving up sporadically. Im not sure about the timing but, it will sure happen at some point when I use it. I bought this during the 2021 Black Friday because I thought Razer is something like a high level mouse and for gaming. My Logitech mouse seems to be much more quality than this where I've used it more than 2 years and it's still working. Warranty is not even useful. Im really careful with these kind of gadgets, I've never dropped this ever. But being careful is not enough.

Razer synapse is a deal breaker
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Comfort. Features. Lighting. Battery Life. Cons: Synapse software required to customize lighting. Price. Trigger paddle is kind of short even for my giant hands. overall this is a good mouse. Mandatory synapse software is a deal breaker for me. Can't control the lighting or see the battery percentage of the mouse unless you install synapse. If these are non issues; buy it!

Amazing wireless gaming mouse!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm normally not one for wireless mice but this one has changed my mind. The charging dock with RGB lighting that indicates your charge level is really nice. Works great with the Razer Synapse software. Long battery life, especially if you turn off the RGB lighting on the mouse. Adjustable DPI to your likings and very easy to customize. I would definitely buy this one again.

Quite reactive mouse with full of functions
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a peripheral geek so that I have experienced almost every high-end mice and keyboards from diverse manufacturers. This mouse, the Basilisk, is one of the best (actually exceptional regarding the price!). RGB is super attractive, pointer is responsive, and tons of adjustable function. Every time is use Razer, I cannot help comparing it to Corsair. My desktop built is completely Corsair and their warranty plan is also amazing; however, Corsair could be better than that prior to issue happenings. I cannot find interest in Corsair mice (I had a dark core, harpoon, and sabre). They are too small or too large, too heavy or too light. Sometimes Corsair mice are lagging after update through iCUE. There is no issue like that to Razer. So, if you are a person like me (who only considering between Corsair and Razer), I hope you just go with Razor. It does not apply to all peripherals, but mice and keyboard does.

Good buy from Best Buy!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Bluetooth mouse. Not a big fan of the Bluetooth cause it does have its issues from time to time. Definitely interrupts CoD games and other shooter, tho it’s great that you can connect it to your PC and just use it wired, other than that it feels smooth and has nice handling. Feels very comfortable! Would recommend for anyone out there looking for a nice RGB mouse. Not to mention there’s a feature you can use to adjust how easily you can scroll. And middle buttons to Adjust DPI up to 1,400. Pretty nice for PC noobs. Very first time PC owner friendly. You can change the Colors on it through the rtx app on your PC for it.

Jack of all trades, Master of most
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent multipurpose mouse for gamers! All the typical Razor specs are here: Class-leading RGB meets cutting edge sensor and quality components. Every measurable metric is accounted for with this beast including sky high DPI maximum (20k) and razer's newest optical switches, but at the end of the day this is the rare gaming mouse that nearly justifies it's high price. It just feels great to use with its outstanding ergonomics and useful programmable side buttons. Let's not forget the clicky dpi "clutch" that defaults to a useful "sniper" button that lowers your dpi to a pre-determined level (I use 300) for those precision quick-scopes. Lastly, you get a sweet rgb infused charging dock WITH USB PASS-THROUGH( I plug the wireless adapter for the mouse into it's own dock; maintaining the original artistic vision of my port assignment strategy). By default the lighting on the doc changes color based on remaining battery life, which is yet another useful feature. To sum it up, I'll just put it this way: if you're a palm or claw gamer who values style and performance, it doesn't get better than this when it comes to an all-purpose gaming mouse. If you can stomach the high price or catch this on sale, do yourself a favor. Oh, and did I mention it's wireless...? Ultimately this mouse does everything and does it all well while

Good for gaming and regular use.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY comfortable in the hand, this mouse is also extremely responsive. However what I'm enjoying most is how infrequently I have to charge the device. A LITTLE bit expensive but most Razor items are.

Side grip falling apart
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The rubber side grip where the thumb rests is falling apart. I contacted Razer since it's under 2 years warranty and they told me this is normal wear and tear. The rubber grips are also not replaceable. This seems to be a design issue with many Razer mouse models so I suggest looking elsewhere for a gaming mouse.

The last wireless mouse you'll need
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a lot of mice in my short period of PC gaming. Coming from console, it took me a while to get used to mouse and keyboard, so having a good mouse was essential. Before the Basilisk Ultimate, I was using the Basilisk X, as it was incredibly light and the wireless form factor gave me plenty of freedom to move, as opposed to using a wired mouse. Now I thought the X was already incredible in its own right, but the Ultimate is leagues better. The improved feet make the mouse glide effortlessly on my cloth mousepad, and the weight makes it feel very light, but just heavy enough to give you the control you'd need in most FPS games. Battery life isn't an issue for me, as leaving the mouse to charge on the dock overnight gives it enough juice to last the whole day, with plenty of power left over. The RGB, paired with Synapse, is very bright and vivid (but you can also dim the lights altogether if that's not your thing). The only gripe I'd probably have is the 3rd side button on the top of the mouse is kind of hard to reach, despite me having relatively large hands. Other than that, the mouse looks great and performs perfectly. I don't see myself changing mice anytime soon.

Best Mouse I Have Ever Owned!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing! No lag! No latency! I'd swear I was using a wired mouse! The battery life is amazing! It's so nice to not have a cord to get caught on things or get in the way. I really feel like I can use the full potential of moving without feeling like my mouse is tethered to my computer anymore! I was concerned that it would be heavier than my wired mouse because of the internal battery, but I actually think it's lighter, which is important to me, though it still has enough weight to still feel good. Love the magnetic charging dock with battery percentage lighting: through the software you can have it change color based on the battery percentage of the mouse so you don't have to be caught off guard when it reaches low battery, which will take a while since it has a 100 hour battery life! Bottom line, this is the best mouse I've ever owned, and I am super picky when it comes to what I'm using to aim in the super competitive FPS games I play. Highly recommend this mouse! Chroma lighting on the mouse looks great too! Razors synapse software is awesome: I love how easy it is to set up and use, in the amount of fine-tuning you can do to make the mouse perfect for you is amazing!

its very good
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most gamers want light mouse's, so this is not that type of mouse. This is for comfort and a bit heavy. It feels comfortable and you don't have to worry about wires. The RGB is bright and good. Battery life is very good. The only con is you have to use Razer software in order to configure anything.

Great Mouse, Good Battery Life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with this mouse. It's comfortable, performs well, all buttons are comfortable to use, and the battery life surpassed my expectations. The clicks are satisfying, and the response is great. I expect nothing less from a top of the line mouse. I'm really liking the adjustable scroll wheel resistance. Depending on the task, I adjust it: lots of scrolling down text then I set it low, discrete clicks like swapping weapons then I set it high. The sniper button is shorter on this one, and I would prefer it to be the old length, but I find it reachable. It is removable and they give you a small insert to fill the hole if you don't want it. Battery life wise, I don't have the highest expectations from mice that don't use AA and are meant to be docked between sessions, but this one is really good. I'm using it all day for work and play, and is consistently lasting 1 week between charges. The one thing that has been bugging me about it is that the right click is too easy to depress, so I'm am occasionally accidentally clicking it. I have larger hands, and if I relax my hand the weight of my middle finger is enough to do a right click.

Better than the Logitech G502 Wireless
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was torn between the Logitech G502 Lightspeed and this. I have to say I like the Basilisk Ultimate more overall. Why? The Basilisk feels better in hand. It is very light and responsive, and I have no issues hitting DPI buttons frequently like on the G502. That would drive me nuts. The dock is a nice feature as well. It makes a cleaner setup and shows your charge level in RGB, which is a very cool feature. The Razer software is also a bit better than Logitech's. The Razer has a better UI that makes more sense, and it does a bit more. The G502 also had a good 2 second lag time when waking the mouse up, where the Razer is almost instant. Charge levels last a few days for each, with the G502 lasting a bit longer most times. The only thing I miss from the G502 is the infinite scrolling wheel. You can adjust the Razer wheel sensitivity to almost mimic this in a passable way, but it just isn't the same. The only reasons to get the G502 over this is if you eventually want the Logitech wireless power charging mousepad, must have infinite scroll, or there is a significant sale.
