Could you buy a razr mouse that isn't defective out of the box? Unfortunately, quality builds seems to be rare with Razr mice.

I’ve been using this mouse in for many different tasks, and let me say this thing is loaded with tech! I attached it to the Razer Synapse app and boom! There is a ton of customizations and optimizations you can do. The scroll wheel is electrical locking vs mechanical locking button. You can hear the switch when you click the button. That being said you can have setting for scroll speed ramp where it will unlock when scrolling fast to allow for it to free spin. This feature is one that I found very cool to have for extra flexibility. The RGB is amazing! I love the under glow. In the app you can adjust per LED around the mouse, as well as the logo and scroll wheel. You can set it to have so many customizations and dynamic RGB effects per LED basis. There is also an ability to literally calibrate to your mouse pad! Which is great because you can calibrate your “play area” whether if you have bigger or smaller mouse pad. It is excellent in gaming with great the accuracy and response time. The side buttons and advanced mapping ability on the App make it perfect for gaming. Ergonomics are great and I have larger hands and it feels good. The mouse is very lightweight as making it feel good as well. It is a beautiful mouse with great RGB and excellent gaming tech.

First mouse was defective: the scrolling wheel broke. Razer support replaced it for me -- but the replacement broke in the same way. Not a keeper.

Don’t waste your money. The cursor jumps all over the place, except for where you intended it when you use the macros . I found instructions online to supposedly fix the issue. Followed them strictly but no change. Would not recommend.

I wanted to love this mouse, unfortunately it refuses to work correctly & Razer's product support is no where to be found. It lags horribly when used on a mouse pad no matter what I do. Borderline unusable. Will not be buying a razer mouse again

An Impulse Purchase I Don't Regret

Been wanting an RGB mouse for a while, and the Razer Basilisk V3 does not disappoint! I love the level of color customization it provides—I have mine set to rotate the color spectrum through the color zones, and briefly flash blue when a button is pressed—and the ability to switch between tactile scroll and hyper-scroll (really useful for scrolling through long documents). The cord extends several feet and comes with its own binding for when you want to fold and shorten it. The additional buttons are all within easy reach, so you don't have to look down to find them in the middle of a game. While it's not quite as ergonomic as my last mouse, it fits easily into the shape of the hand and supports it better than a flat mouse would, so unless 'best ergonomics' is your deciding factor, don't let that discourage you. All in all, this mouse is a great performer with solid additional features.

The best Razer-branded gaming mouse I've used!

I wanted to preface this by saying that I was unable to supply pictures for this review because I'm currently in-between phones right now and do not have my camera available. I was waiting to do this review to see if that would be resolved by now, but it hasn't. So, I'm going to go ahead an review this. I'm a huge Razer fan - always have been. I've currently got everything connected to my computer as Razer equipment. From my Raptor monitor, to my current V1 Huntsman Keyboard, Trinity mouse, headset stand and even mousepad. I haven't upgraded things in a a few years and I definitely don't play MMO games as much as I used to (nor MOBA's), making my Trinity mouse feel a little more useless than usual. I seen the opportunity to get the new Basilisk V3 mouse and thought it'd be nice for a change. I haven't used any other Razer mice besides the Naga and Trinity ones and I've heard that the Basilisk mouse is one of their top ones. I was excited to try it and I will say - I'm definitely not let down! The packaging is pretty basic. It's in a more "flimsy" than normal black and green box, which isn't very big at all. The advertised features include gen-2 optical mouse switches, 11 RGB lighting zones, Focus+ 26k DPI sensor, Hyperscroll Tilt Wheel and 10 +1 programmable buttons. I tend to downplay features on most electronic devices because let's be honest, they're mostly marketing "fluff". However, in use, the one feature that really surprised me the most with this mouse is the Hyperscroll Tilt Wheel. Now THIS is where it's at. I've been using my Logitech G502 wireless mouse a lot on my laptop gaming PC and have really come to love it, especially the scroll wheel. There is a button that you can click to change it from a "smooth" super-glide scroll wheel over to the "clicky" scroll wheel. I LOVE this feature and am SO glad to now have a Razer mouse that uses it! And also to one-up my other mouse, you can even change this in the Synapse software, if you wanted. The optical switch is nice and clicky, without being annoyingly clicky. The Chroma RGB is typical Razer, except on this mouse, there's a strip at the bottom that creates this neat "flare-out" effect on your mousepad. Almost like an underglow. The programmable buttons are pretty typical and while the Focus+ 26k DPI sensor is nice to know you have....in reality....why? I don't know anyone who would use their DPI that high. Even myself, I usually keep my DPI between 800, 1200 and 1600, with 3 stages. I don't know anyone that would realistically use anything this high. But hey, it's there if you want it. The form factor is great and the mouse is light enough for not only gaming, but every day use, if you wanted to. My only real issue I had is just more of the "drag" feel across my mousepad. Underneath, there are two rubber feet up at the top of the mouse, one on the bottom and one on the left side (where the thumb buttons are). This mouse could have for sure benefitted from having another foot on the right side. Dragging it to the left feels fantastic, but dragging it to the right just feels....I don't know how to explain it. Just a tad different. I tested this mouse in New World over the weekend, as well as CoD: Cold War and both games felt absolutely fantastic with it. Given the price of this mouse with all of the features, I highly recommend it and would give it a straight up 5/5 stars. I'll be keepig this as my main desktop mouse and setting aside my Trinity mouse in case I ever decide to pick up an MMO down the road.
