I am a little torn on this one. I “like” this mouse, quite a bit, and there is a lot of good here; but, at the same time there are a couple of things that don’t really work for me. In use, it performs very well. Connectivity is stellar, same for tracking, it is very precise, and everything is quite responsive. Gaming has been great, but it also does well with the day to day. Sure, perhaps a bit overkill, but still nice to have. The build? Well, in some ways it is perfect, but in others, for me, not so much. It absolutely is well built. Nice material choices (I really like the textured sides), balanced, solid, and “feels good in the hand.” You can tell they put in work here. Lots of buttons, mostly well placed, that again, feel good with the right amount of resistance/give and are responsive. Consistent. The scroll wheel is just about perfect. All of that said, it has a bit of weight, and while that may not be an issue for some, it is not really what I was looking for. A bigger issue for me, however, is just how the mouse fits my hand. Again, this will be different for everyone, but my hands lean somewhat to the larger size, and comfort is an issue, especially after a bit of use. Not sure it is a total dealbreaker for me yet, only time will tell. As for the styling…again, a personal thing, but I really like it. I typically don’t like a lot of “gaming things” as they tend to be over the top in some (or every) way, but the simple, plain-ish, all black look is perfect for me. Additionally, as you might guess, RGB is not my favorite thing, again, typically quite “gamery,” but I really, really like what they did here. Not harsh, but rather a soft glow that gives a really nice effect. Balanced and absolutely not over the top. Lots of options. Lots of customization. I think that customization, the software, is another solid aspect of this mouse. You have a lot of control not only of the RGB, but the buttons, the scroll wheel, mapping, macros…more or less everything. It is easy to get in to, easy to play around with, and easy to dial things in to your liking. Not much to say on battery life. It will depend on how you use it, but it has been great for me so far. I don’t think it will be an issue for anyone in any way. It is Dock Pro compatible, for those already in the ecosystem… Which leads to my overall thoughts on this mouse. I can easily say I think this is a very good mouse, and I do really like it, even if I personally have some issues with the comfort/fit for me long term. With that said, it does come at a cost, and I am still undecided about the value here. I suppose it is on par with others in the space, but I would really look at your use case, as you might be better served going with the previous model and a Dock Pro (as an example), if you do not already have one. Ultimately, I think most people would be happy with it, but just something to note.

synapse sucks and after buying this mouse it corrupted my razer keyboard as well that I can not return lol just had to buy a new logitech keyboard to match the mouse I replaced this with. Something with razer was forcing my volume to be constantly turned down to zero I unplug them both and rever to my old hardware and this new mouse and everything is fine

OK, right off the bat, 13 customizable options (11 buttons)? Come on, that’s pretty impressive. And sorry not sorry, the lighting effects (again also customizable) are way too much fun. You can actually add another level to your gaming experience, I’m still working on it and having all kinds of fun experimenting. The ergonomic design is super comfortable, which is incredibly important for me, as I have carpal tunnel in my right hand and can’t mouse with my left hand to save my life. The mouse is a little heavier, but I didn’t find the detriment when actually using the mouse. It’s so minuscule of a difference that I didn’t feel like lighter was necessary. The battery life and ability of the user to use for extended periods of time is stellar. I tend to not switch out my mice between gaming and other more everyday activities. I prefer to stick with one mouse because then I get used to it, know its button locations and feel. I feel like the importance of that can’t be overstated when it comes to being familiar with a gaming mouse when you’re actually using it for gaming. So with that in mind, I barely had to worry about charging ever. It goes all day, no problem.

its a good mouse dont get me wrong but i dont get how i had the older deathadder V3 Pro and the cable was far superior to the point i could play while charging, for the top of the line basilisk this is not that case. The cable is very rigid comparably and has connectivity issues when i try to plug it in.......MAJOR L

As good as, or better, than Logitech G502 X

I have probably had about 100 or more mice, in my entire computer career spanning roughly four decades. This is the start of a new dominating mouse, picking up the mantle from the current king, the Logitech G502 X. This mouse is beautiful, I ended getting the white version, despite it saying black, for the sake of shipping expediency, and I have zero regrets as I had thought about getting the white version anyways. This mouse looks similar to the Logitech G502X but sexier with better curves, clearer and superior lighting and a scroll wheel that doesn't just match the Logitech, but improves upon it. If you have a Logitech G502 X the good news is switching to this mouse is very easy. Installing it consists of basically plugging in the USB or pairing with Bluetooth and that's it, it's ready to use. If you want more control though you will need to get the Razer software, which is a bit hit or miss as many gamers know. The great news is that once you get it all setup you don't need to keep running the Razer software, and in fact once I got mine setup, I still kept the software, I just disabled it from running at startup with Windows (it causes some issues with my Razer Tartarus Pro ironically). This mouse is intuitive, feels great, looks great and has a far better battery life than the Logitech G502 X. My kills in COD are as good, or better, than using the Logitech G502 X. No lag, using USB connection. This is the new king of gaming mice, sorry Logitech, I've moved on!

The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is one of the most amazing gaming mice I have ever used. The responsiveness is next level, and the tactile responsiveness makes every click feel perfect. I love that you can have multiple profiles to tweak for different games. I love using this for FPS, and then I can easily switch profiles for MMO gaming. I also use this mouse on multiple devices, and it is so easy. I have it synced Bluetooth to my MacBook Pro, and then use the wireless dongle for my gaming PC. The RGB on this mouse is also amazing, it is subtle enough to not be distracting but has the perfect esthetic to match my keyboard, PC, and other RGB accessories. The battery life has been great, I have never had any issues on long gaming sessions, nothing is worse than losing power in the middle of a raid! The ergonomics are also on point, I have experienced zero fatigue or discomfort even though I use this mouse for many hours a day between work and gaming most nights. Even better is that it's easy to transport to use at work as well, and it definitely impresses in the office. Overall the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro is at the top of my list for gaming and more!

One of the worst I've ever had constant stuttering randomly turning off mid game while being fully charged. I will attempt to file a warranty claim with razer.

It's a decent mouse for casual gaming. The toggleable free-spinning scroll wheel is interesting, but I’ve had no real reason to use it. The most obvious but useful feature on the Basilisk V3 Pro is the wireless capability. The 2.4GHZ wireless dongle has no noticeable latency, and can be stored under the puck on the bottom of the mouse. It seems very portable overall. The plastic puck that comes with the mouse can be replaced with a wireless charging puck from Razer which allows it to be used with their wireless charging dock. As a more competitive gamer, I daily drive the DeathAdder V3, which I have since switched back to from the Basilisk due to the Basilisk’s weight. If you are a more competitive gamer I would strongly recommend a mouse such as the DeathAdder instead, as the Basilisk does come in more than two times heavier. Another feature seen on the Basilisk is the “sensitivity clutch” button, which lowers the mouse sensitivity to a value set in Razer Synapse while it is pressed. By default, the sensitivity clutch sets the mouse to 400 DPI. Overall, the Basilisk is a solid mouse, however if you are a highly competitive gamer I would recommend a lighter alternative.

The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is a wireless precision gaming mouse presented in a hefty, premium form factor. At 15.2 ounces, the most apparent attribute to note is the Basilisk’s weight. While I came to prefer the sturdier feel the Basilisk provides, this probably won’t be a popular choice among those who prefer ultralight mice. Beyond the Basilisk’s weight, its appearance is very sleek, and pairs well with other Razer peripherals. For example, I have the white Razer BlackWidow V4 keyboard, and the two pair together perfectly. With premium eggshell-finish plastics, finely textured rubber grips, and aura RGB lighting, the Basilisk is easily the most aesthetically pleasing mouse I own. Looking at the technical aspects of the Basilisk, it confidently stands toe-to-toe with the other wired and wireless options available at this price point. Razer’s proprietary Hyperspeed wireless connection provides a latency indistinguishable from wired mice. The Basilisk’s optical sensor offers a resolution up to 35,000dpi with the ability to adjust it granularly at 1 dpi increments via the Razer Synapse software. Beyond that, the Basilisk offers customization options I’ve never seen in other mice before. For example, those with angled grips can configure the Basilisk to operate on the standard axes, even at a 45-degree rotation. It even allows you to program custom acceleration curves via a user-friendly GUI in the Synapse software. While I tend to use the defaults when it comes to features like this, the adaptability of the Basilisk is impressive, nonetheless. Looking at some of the other physical features of the Basilisk, the innovation and versatility continue. Sporting a wireless charging element on the base, the Basilisk can charge while you play if you happen to have a powered wireless charging mousepad. Additionally, the Basilisk offers a number of auxiliary buttons, all of which can be programmed individually to perform almost any function via the Razer Synapse software. After extensive testing in first-person shooters, strategy games, MOBAs, and productivity applications, the Basilisk will be a permanent fixture in my setup, going forward. I used to have the perception that wireless mice were unable to provide the performance and accuracy characteristic of a high-end wired mouse, but the Basilisk, once again, proves this incorrect. Between the premium materials, sturdy construction, aesthetically pleasing form and RGB lighting, versatility and customizability, the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K is one of the best mice I’ve had the pleasure of using in recent years.
