1. The connectivity and interference tolerance is abysmal. Line of sight, no obstructions, even 4 feet is too far away. Why get a wireless mouse when the receiver has to practically be touching for it to work reliably. 2. Inexcusably bad wireless protocol leads to regularly "stuck" button presses, or continued motion when you have stopped; sudden unexpected motions. They could have used any of a myriad OPEN standard protocols, or even half a brain to avoid EVER having a dropped event. At the very least, when connectivity is regained, it should be aware you are not still holding down the button. This is a gaming mouse - a missed or stuck click is going to make you lose. Why would anyone want that? 3. The mouse requires the drivers AND software be running to use the features. If you log out - it goes back to default settings. Ok, a jerk move, but whatever, right? NO. The software uses abouf 6% of one core ALL THE TIME; seems to be written in javascript given the massive ram waste. It is painfully slow. Gamers expect efficiency. Razer's software is the WORST I've used across steelseries, Corsair, and Logitech. 4. Razer has an abscenely restrictive click-through / pass-through EULA that they just made even more draconian and the software demands you accept the EULA to work. Per the EULA, you aren't allowed to disassemble the mouse or the drivers should you want to improve them - or get them working properly on Linux. If you don't accept it - per the EULA, you can't use the mouse. That is disgusting enough for a boycott. 5. They used a label on the bottom that delaminates after about two months of use right around the power button. When this happens, it starts dragging on the mousepad. No, it isn't the protective plastic, and it isn't a fluke - again, happened to two in a row. Don't buy Razer product. They are like dysons. A status symbol that is really actually not very good; but very expensive.

Came from a Logi G502, then tried this, then went back to the 502. I think it's a good mouse, I just think the 502 is substantially better. And I do NOT like the Synapse software.

I've always really looked at Razer as a company that's laser focused on their gaming products. But with the latest version of the Basilisk, they seem to be making a point that they can handle every day productivity tasks just as well. And while it still wears its gamer identity on its sleeve, it's been a pleasant surprise at how well it works as a daily driver productivity mouse. The first thing I noticed out of the box was the Basilisk's weight. Razer mice are usually featherlight designs aimed at twitch gamers. And while I'll admit that's nice for gameplay, I've found that it's often less than ideal for everything else where a bit of extra weight can help you achieve greater control during small movements. While the Basilisk is still on the lighter side for productivity mice it strikes a pretty decent balance for overall weight. The second thing I noticed was the sensor. The 30k DPI mouse sensor that the mouse features is beyond twitchy, to the point where it's arguably overkill. On the plus side, this means it can handle pretty much any surface. But given that out of the box it's toned down to almost 1/5th of its maximum sensitivity, it's pretty clear that taking full advantage of it is probably overkill even for the people who designed it. Personally I found the sweet spot to be at about 2400 DPI for most use, and only crank it up to around 5000 for gaming. Also it gains major points for including something that should be part of every wireless mouse: integrated storage for the RF dongle. It's cleverly hidden underneath the socket for the wireless charging puck (not included.) Control layout is generally good. There are a total of ten buttons, all of which can be remapped via Razer's synapse utility. The thumb button (mapped by default to a sniper switch) is slightly awkward to reach and has a bit of wobble to it, but apart from that everything feels solid and is generally comfortable to use. One of the highlights is the 2D scroll wheel, which can either manually or automatically transition to smooth scrolling for faster response. As someone who's used one of these wheels for years I consider this feature to be a must-have for any productivity tasks at this point, and I'm very pleased any time I see a new design including it. RGB is also surprisingly understated given the manufacturer's past history, though still plenty flashy when it needs to be. After using it as a daily driver for a few days I've found very little to complain about, though there are a few things to be aware of. Foremost is the fact that the battery doesn't last exceptionally long during normal use, especially if you're using the RGB effects (and if you don't plan to use the RGB, why are you buying a Razer product in the first place?) I'm used to charging batteries every month or so, but with the Basilisk it seemed to be running low after just a few days. Dimming the RGB and setting the lights to turn off any time the screen goes dark can help stretch this out a bit, but I think the best solution really would be to just pair it with the optional wireless charging dock so that it's always full when you sit down to use it. As such I think it probably makes a bit more sense to buy the mouse and the dock as a set for most who plan to use it as a daily driver. But if you're more interested in a secondary mouse for travel or occasional laptop use, I think this package is probably a better fit. The battery does a good job holding a charge, even if it's not as big as it could be, and it comes with a surprisingly nice USB-C cable for when you need a wired connection for charging.

The Basilisk V3 Pro is absolutely with out a doubt, the worst wireless bluetooth gaming mouse I have ever had to use. The side button in front of the thumb rest is incredibly sensitive and I find that I have to leave it turned off because I constantly key it by accident. The battery life is atrocious by typical BT mouse standards, I'm lucky to get about 8 hours on a full charge. I would not be mad if it was a $40-$70 mouse, but I don't think it is worth 159.99 under any circumstances. If you are seriously considering this mouse, I am pleading with you and urging you to look into other options.

Love the erognomics, had it pair with a 4k hz but did experience problems when using with a hub but that could be because i have alot plugged in. But besides that the build quality is pretty good to previous gens.

The only reason that I give this mouse a 3 star review is because this mouse does not fit my hand. The right side of the mouse is so small that my pinky doesn't fit and drags the pad. Other than that, the mouse workings like any other gaming mouse.

Really good mouse I haven’t had many issues other than I can’t connect it via Bluetooth anymore which is fine since I don’t play wireless anyways but for the price everything should work

It’s okay. I’m a little upset that Razer couldn’t include the wireless charging puck in just the base model of the mouse. The dock I get not including but not including the wireless puck is just beyond me. The basilisk is a great mouse. I have 2 wired basilisk V3s and a wireless Basilisk ultimate. Comparing this to the wireless basilisk ultimate as far as performance goes I can’t really tell any significant differences or improvements between the two. It’d be much better to include just the wireless puck at the bare minimum. Im on the fence about returning this and waiting for the dock and puck bundle to go on sale before purchasing again. I can’t justify spending $20 additional dollars to get just the puck or $70 for the puck and dock. Save your money and get the Basilisk Ultimate. You only lose the infinite scroll wheel, USB-C connectivity, Bluetooth and maybe the battery life isn’t as good as the V3 Pro. But as far as performance even with the wireless adapter, I couldn’t really see a notable difference between the two.

I use this with a kvm switch on monitor (1 keyboard and mouse for windows pc and mac ) razer says supported but no software for mac silicon m1+ too bad i liked how i could charge this on my wireless phone charger

The battery literally dies within 24-48 hours. Turning off lights makes the battery go to 3 days but it's insanely short compared to my 6 year old g903 which can go months without charging. Also, the fact you still can't save a default color without the synapse spyware installed is incredibly frustrating. I will never buy a razer product again.

The Razer - Basilisk V3 Pro Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse with Chroma RGB Lighting in black has a solid heft and great build quality. The Basilisk is the perfect size for my hand (my hand is a medium for most purposes). The side grip areas of the Basilisk are rubberized and textured grips that are functional while being unobtrusive during gameplay. The weight of the Basilisk is great for precision cursor control and is still light enough for long and active game sessions. It has a right-handed, unique ergonomic design including a great thumb rest for less finger drag on the mouse pad or surface and for smoother flick action when gaming. The design is almost identical to the Basilisk V2 mouse but includes some great features including a higher possible resolution of 30,000 dots per inch, 13-Zone Chroma Lighting with Full Underglow (this mouse looks like it means business) it also has a very adjustable scroll wheel, the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel. The glide pads on the bottom of the mouse are quite smooth offering almost no drag / resistance. The buttons are easy to depress with just enough resistance to avoid accidental activation. The combination of user definable functional settings along with a plethora of modifications allows for almost an unlimited number of setups. These settings can be retained using the downloadable Razer Synapse software, (that I have used for years) and that easily port over to the mouse’s memory. This is a great, low fatigue, gaming mouse.

Dead after 2 months. Most of the time, I used the mouse plugged in with usb c cable. As of this review, I went back to my trusty Logitech mouse that has never let me down. This will be the last Razer product I buy. Their quality has diminished over the years. Their keyboards do not fair much better....

From the reviews ive saw and from the previous one i had none rgb this one looked awesome didnt get to use it because they ahipped it to me and the box was a bit damange and it looked opened so i didnt even bothered i went and took it to the store for a refund
