Terrible user experience because of bad software

A terrible user experience because of bad software and driver support from Razer. Headphones paired initially with wifi dongle and then will randomly decide to no longer pair. The only fix I've found is completely uninstalling all Razer software, wiping all Razer drivers, rebooting my PC and reinstalling everything. Even then sometimes the headset will fail to pair after and I have to go through the whole process again. Do not waste your money on this broken product.

    Troublesome

Returned for a couple of reasons: 1. shelf price tag shows it at $180 but it rang up at $198. I informed the cashier of the prices (should have taken a picture of it) and the supervisor dismissed it at first saying the price is for an older model and finally sold me the headphones at $184. Then the supervisor tries to sale me buying a 2 year warranty on it. 2. The headset never connected - see the common complaints on redit.

Was looking for Black Shark V2 Wired but they were out of stock so I went with the wireless instead. Was not impressed at all, audio is coming out very flat I have change some setting around but it is still lacking. I had the wired before this pair however the cable got damaged due to a new puppy in the house. Save your money and get the wired instead, it comes with a sound card that makes this product 10x better.

    Great Headset for Gaming

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Gaming Headset is a major step-up for Razer's gaming headsets. It an improvement on many of the issues in both the previous versions of the BlackShark, and their entire lineup of gaming headphones as a whole. Out of the box, the headset is visibly high quality and it is very comfortable, using a type of memory foam as opposed to traditional foam that molds to the wearer's head, feeling like there is nothing on top of the user at all. Wearing this headset for long periods of time is a pleasant experience, and I never felt the need to take off the headset because of soreness, unlike many other headsets. The headset has multiple modes while in use, allowing for either Bluetooth connections to your computer or mobile device, while also supporting a wireless dongle that allows for long range and high quality connectivity. While the wireless dongle was in use, I was able to use both the microphone and hear my computer while being several rooms away, which is very useful if someone needs to get up for a snack or even listen to music while in another room for a while. Driver setup was also straightforward, and much of the downloads were directly accessible through the Razer Synapse application. This is also used to control the different audio profiles or microphone settings of the headset. Without tampering with the audio or mic settings, the sound quality is already very high, and there are no concerns of mine while listening to Spotify, YouTube, or while playing video games. The microphone is easily the best feature of the headset, sounding like a studio microphone rather than a traditional headset microphone. The clarity and pure sounds from the microphone are comparable to expensive desk-mounted microphones, and it allows for high quality voice calls and recordings. The battery life on the headset is very long lasting, allowing me to use the headset all day with many hours to spare before going to sleep. The headset is rated for 70+ hours of battery life, and the USB-C cable charges the headset to full power in a very short amount of time. Overall the headset is very high quality for what one can expect from a Razer product, and I will be using this headset as my daily driver moving forward.

Ouch. I had high hopes for these things. There are some GLARING issues at the price point this product is offered at. The good. A removeable mic with mic switch. The mic is ok quality for a headset mic. Extremely dynamic sound directions. Ie, you can hear directions super super well with this headset. Sturdy. The bad Build quality and materials. While the outer frame is sturdier than most other razer products, the exposed wire and rough choice of material for the ear cuffs makes for.... a less than pleasant experience. Sound quality. For near $250 after tax the sound quality of this is unacceptable. The lack of built in noise canceling means that any external sound echo's in the cuffs. And louder sounds can even cause echo and rumbling itself. Another massive issue, and the key reason I refunded: The drivers can cause themselves to peak making extremely sharp sounds that aren't pleasant to listen to. Lack of noise canceling. As stated previously. This is a $250 headset WITHOUT noise canceling. If you do a lot of talking, or are in a semi loud environment this headset becomes near unusable as the background ruble drowns out in game sounds. Shocked. Literally shocked. As in the left ear cup shocked me several times in the course of an hour. (This might be a factory issue however.)

    Disappointing vs Corsair Virtuoso SE

Picked these up since reviews were raving about how good the microphone was finally on the latest blackshark v2 pros. Compared to the stellar microphone on the corsair virtuoso se, razers attempt is pretty pathetic. Staticy buzzy sidetone that sounded nothing like me was a persistent issue and my friends on the other side of the discord call noted that I immediately sounded worse. I immediately returned them since whats the point if the upgrade is worse than the prior.

Decent headset - a tad bit heavy if you wear glasses. Also gets a bit hot on your head. I use them for 1-4 hours at a time but have to constantly readjust them as they do hurt my head.
