sometimes there is an annoying cracking sound . tried everything to fix it.

Great sound and mic, absolutely horrible build quality, 3 months in and the plastic on the head strap is practically disintegrating...horrendous build quality, if you really want these, get insurance for when they break in a couple months...

Ended up returning this, there is hardly any base on it. Definitely don't recommend for PS5

I thought i had done proper research, i even looked on here and everyone said it was a great headset! But i was lied too. Mic isnt bad but way to much base. side tone has white noise EQ settings dont match the other headset, max on the old one is 12 and -12 new one is 5 and -5 so either me and others are missing somethjng or we got lied too… im starting to see a trend and thats old is still better somehow

I bought these to try them out after my HyperX Cloud Alpha’s broke. I cant believe how bad these sound. The sound is muffled, bass is almost not existent or causes distortion. I tried every EQ setting I could think of, Stereo, Spatial Audio, and nothing helped. Also, if you want to use THX, you HAVE to buy an actuvation code. Back to HyperX.

This is an upscale gaming headset but it is also useful for music or phone calls. The earcups are extremely soft memory foam. I wore them on 5 occasions so far, with just over 72 hours total usage before the need for charging. I did not experience any ear pain, sweating or other discomfort – great. Some other headsets cause my ears to ache behind my ears of all places, but no pain at all from this headset. I did notice that sounds and video were in perfect sync. This is due to the super fast technology that this headset has called Razer Hyperspeed Wireless Technology. You can experience this speed I felt more when you used the 2.4 GHZ dongle that comes with the device. I tried both with the dongle and also with just Bluetooth wireless. I found both methods to be more than acceptable. The super wideband microphone was spot on and I verified it was crystal clear using phone call feedback. I did notice the microphone has a very easily adjusted little boom. This microphone does not have the ability to mute the mic by lifting the mic boom up. Instead, this microphone is muted by a button on the headset, I did not find this to be a problem once I was used to it. Having a full 2 years parts and labor warranty is super great. I felt this headset is a big step up for me for eSports games. My old set was showing a lot of wear on the earcups, so this turned out to be a great choice for me and I got a lot more than just the earcups in improvement. I had no trouble with this headset on any platform. Sometimes a device has inconsistent pairing, but this headset pairing was fast and simple. I would highly recommend the Blackshark V2 Pro headset.

the retention bracket broke on where the headset connects to the band. easily replaced and fixed with a 13 dollar 3d printed part off of etsy but even needing to do that is awful

The battery didnt last at all. Other than that they were good.

Not worth the price, with sound quality being extremely poor.

Purchased in May, two months later it was broken. If I mute and then unmute the button feels fine but it won’t unmute me till I power off and back on. Don’t recommend.

If you plan to buy this I can offer only one piece of advice, KEEP THE RECEIPT. I bought these roughly a year ago and they randomly split in half when I went to put them on. Thank god I kept the receipt. I exchanged them for a new pair thinking it mustve been a complete fluke. Six months later the exact same thing happened. Same spot, same part shattering, same situation. Do not make my mistake. Buy anything else.

I use this headset daily for office work and some casual gaming. Always kept on a stand, always taken off with both hands. And after 15 months it just snapped. Don’t waste your money on this. Razer has dramatically decreased their quality.

I received the item but it was not new. It was used and it had missing pieces with it. I was beyond shocked and returned it immediately.

Immediate issues with discord especially if streaming through discord. Static coming in from your end making it so no one can watch. Taser Support was asking for you to ship the headset to test what is causing it. Even though it was a known issue on their forums. They could literally unbox one in their inventory and test it. Much easier to return this item and buy a different brand l. Razer keeping tradition of faulty equipment either cheap plastic on headset, and mice.

Have had the headphones for 7 months now. Handle with care and cleaned very well. Just from putting the headphone on the little plastic piece that holds the ear piece broke. So the left ear piece is dangling by the wire making the headphones unusable. Do NOT buy! Not worth the money if they’re just going to break.

Great while they lasted. Less than 4 months and they broke on us.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023)--quite the mouthful!--is a superb gaming headset for PC, PS4/PS5 and other devices that use Bluetooth. It's probably the best and most comfortable headset I've used. Whether you're a more casual gamer who mainly uses a headset for late-night playing, or a dedicated esports competitor, I think you'd be quite happy with this. The BlackShark V2 Pro is a wireless headset with support for both 2.4 wireless via a USB-A dongle, or via Bluetooth. I stuck to using the dongle for both PC and PS5 use and set up was really easy. On the PC side you'll want to install Razer's Synapse software for the greatest functionality. There you'll find a wide variety of customizations for both audio playback and the mic itself. I turned on the THX mode, but I wouldn't say the difference is dramatic, as these sound great to begin with. On the PS5, I tried them using the spatial audio mode built into the PS5's audio menu. To me, the most important qualities in a headset are comfort and audio quality. This Razer headset, with its headband and earpads both nicely cushioned with memory foam, is quite comfortable for extended periods. I'm someone who generally suffers a fair amount of fatigue with headphones and headsets, yet I found I could wear these for a long time. They're also not too heavy, which also helps wearability. Sound is very good, and it's better if you tweak the settings in the Razer software. They're not noise canceling, but they do a pretty good job of keeping out ambient sounds. The 50mm driver is rated from 12Hz to 28kHz, which is a rather remarkably wide range, and these also performed well listening to some orchestral music. The (detachable) microphone input matches the output in quality--it's very, very clear. Battery life is rated to 70 hours, and while I didn't exhaustively keep track of the time, that sure seems reasonable. Battery life is certainly excellent. The battery is charged via a USB-C port on left earcup, which is home to most of the controls (mic mute, volume, power.) The bottom line: this is a great headset. It's very comfortable, sound good, has a very clear microphone, and excellent battery life. My normal preference when gaming is to let my 5.1.2 home theater system rip, but I found this headset to be a very worthy alternative. Highly recommended.
