I thought i had done proper research, i even looked on here and everyone said it was a great headset! But i was lied too. Mic isnt bad but way to much base. side tone has white noise EQ settings dont match the other headset, max on the old one is 12 and -12 new one is 5 and -5 so either me and others are missing somethjng or we got lied too… im starting to see a trend and thats old is still better somehow

I bought these to try them out after my HyperX Cloud Alpha’s broke. I cant believe how bad these sound. The sound is muffled, bass is almost not existent or causes distortion. I tried every EQ setting I could think of, Stereo, Spatial Audio, and nothing helped. Also, if you want to use THX, you HAVE to buy an actuvation code. Back to HyperX.

I use this headset daily for office work and some casual gaming. Always kept on a stand, always taken off with both hands. And after 15 months it just snapped. Don’t waste your money on this. Razer has dramatically decreased their quality.

WHY DO I KEEP FALLING FOR THIS

If you plan to buy this I can offer only one piece of advice, KEEP THE RECEIPT. I bought these roughly a year ago and they randomly split in half when I went to put them on. Thank god I kept the receipt. I exchanged them for a new pair thinking it mustve been a complete fluke. Six months later the exact same thing happened. Same spot, same part shattering, same situation. Do not make my mistake. Buy anything else.

I have owned these for just over 3 months and was very impressed at the beginning. Great audio quality for both speakers and mic and they're comfortable to wear. After 3 months, the plastic holding one of the earphones on has broke. The ear piece is only held on by the wire now. This happened from just putting the headset on and off normally. I had high hopes for this headset being made by Razer, but this is extremely disappointing.

Immediate issues with discord especially if streaming through discord. Static coming in from your end making it so no one can watch. Taser Support was asking for you to ship the headset to test what is causing it. Even though it was a known issue on their forums. They could literally unbox one in their inventory and test it. Much easier to return this item and buy a different brand l. Razer keeping tradition of faulty equipment either cheap plastic on headset, and mice.

Probably the very best headset I've ever used

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023)--quite the mouthful!--is a superb gaming headset for PC, PS4/PS5 and other devices that use Bluetooth. It's probably the best and most comfortable headset I've used. Whether you're a more casual gamer who mainly uses a headset for late-night playing, or a dedicated esports competitor, I think you'd be quite happy with this. The BlackShark V2 Pro is a wireless headset with support for both 2.4 wireless via a USB-A dongle, or via Bluetooth. I stuck to using the dongle for both PC and PS5 use and set up was really easy. On the PC side you'll want to install Razer's Synapse software for the greatest functionality. There you'll find a wide variety of customizations for both audio playback and the mic itself. I turned on the THX mode, but I wouldn't say the difference is dramatic, as these sound great to begin with. On the PS5, I tried them using the spatial audio mode built into the PS5's audio menu. To me, the most important qualities in a headset are comfort and audio quality. This Razer headset, with its headband and earpads both nicely cushioned with memory foam, is quite comfortable for extended periods. I'm someone who generally suffers a fair amount of fatigue with headphones and headsets, yet I found I could wear these for a long time. They're also not too heavy, which also helps wearability. Sound is very good, and it's better if you tweak the settings in the Razer software. They're not noise canceling, but they do a pretty good job of keeping out ambient sounds. The 50mm driver is rated from 12Hz to 28kHz, which is a rather remarkably wide range, and these also performed well listening to some orchestral music. The (detachable) microphone input matches the output in quality--it's very, very clear. Battery life is rated to 70 hours, and while I didn't exhaustively keep track of the time, that sure seems reasonable. Battery life is certainly excellent. The battery is charged via a USB-C port on left earcup, which is home to most of the controls (mic mute, volume, power.) The bottom line: this is a great headset. It's very comfortable, sound good, has a very clear microphone, and excellent battery life. My normal preference when gaming is to let my 5.1.2 home theater system rip, but I found this headset to be a very worthy alternative. Highly recommended.

As someone familiar with the Razer Blackshark headphones, I was confused as to what they would do to make the newest pair even better. My pair from last year sounded awesome, the noise cancellation was solid, they fit well, and didn't seem overly heavy on my head. While I felt Razer would be hard pressed to improve on the previous model, it didn't take long with the newest Razer BalckShark V2 Pro to realize how wrong I was. First off, the 2023 Razer BlackShark V2 Pro charges via USB C. That in itself is a large improvement as it now charges via the same cord as nearly everything else. While I still lean on the cord provided by Razer, knowing it uses USB C puts me at ease in case the cord needs to be replaced. Putting the headset on, I immediately notice an improvement in the noise cancellation. While the BlackShark V2 doesn't use active noise cancellation, the design of the headphones does a great job of blocking out outside noise. This is great because while the headset blocks out outside, the lack of active noise cancellation means it does so without impacting battery life. Speaking of battery life, it's something you don't have to worry about with this headset. I've gone through multiple long gaming sessions without having to charge. In those long sessions, with the exception of the noise cancellation, I barely realize the headphones are there as they are extremely comfortable. I don't feel the need to immediately take them off when the gaming session is over. The audio quality on this headset remains top of the line. I have no problem hearing footsteps approaching, recognizing where they're coming from, or knowing which direction shots are going off. I never get any complaints about the mic either. One of the things I really like about this headset, which, is similar to previous models, is the design. I don't need a million lights RGB lights all over my headset. The design is very low-key, which, may not fit everyone, but fits me perfect. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is one of, if not the best wireless gaming headset on the market. The 2023 is a no brainer buy that I'd recommend to anyone for it's improvement over what was already great.
