This headset definitely impressed me. Compared to my previous headset, this has more than double the battery life, the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, and way more options than I was expecting. With the Razer Synapse app is how you control and unlock the true potential of this headset. There is the typical sound and EQ settings, but then you can go beyond that with app-specific EQ profiles to start. Then you can turn on options such as normalization, bass boost, and incoming voice clarity effects. While that is great, then we move onto the mic area... Typically most headsets do not have much customization in this field, but Razer added all the options. In addition to volume/normalization options, you can choose to gate your voice, similar to the activation threshold in most voice chat programs. Furthermore, you can apply your own EQ to your outgoing voice, and finally also enable sidetone with a customizable level of monitoring. On the headset itself, the cushions are very comfortable and breathable - in my testing I never felt like my ears were getting hot or sweaty like some other headsets I've tested. Having a button to mute the mic is great, although some other brands go a step further with a beep or visible light on the mic itself. The entire headset feels surprisingly light, and with the wireframe mounts the earcups are very adjustable. The volume knob on the side is a nice touch, though it is a software knob without any detents/clicks. Something to consider for the next version would be perhaps having it be hardware controlled with a set min/max, and perhaps being able to push in/click the knob to mute. Charging was fast via USB-C, and the battery lasts forever in the week I have been testing it. Using this with my desktop has been instant and the sound quality has been great - be it playing games like Destiny, Diablo, or just listening to Spotify while working, there has been no shortage of balanced bass, mid, and treble. In the few short Zoom calls I have done, the other parties have told me they could hear me clearly. All in all, this headset is a great product with lots of flexibility and is a jack of all trades without any significant issues. A real home run!

I like these headphones. Side tone is a little funky but better than the steelseries, and newer Corsair products. So not perfect but pretty good

Razer’s triforce titanium 50mm drivers deliver great sound. The drivers are unique in that they are divided into three parts for the individual tuning of high, midrange, and low frequencies. These drivers deliver incredible levels of clarity as compared to my previous headset. Additionally, there are sound profiles available for a variety of commonly played games. The headset is noticeably lighter than any other headset I’ve used in the past. They are aesthetically pleasing, and comfortable on the ears/head. The microphone is wideband, which leads to less compression of voice, and a more natural sound. THX spatial audio (7.1 surround sound) is supported by this headset. Razer Hyperspeed Wireless delivers on low-latency play (Razer says it is less than four milliseconds). They also state that this wireless technology requires less power than competitive offerings, which in theory should lead to longer usage before needing to recharge. Speaking of battery life, Razer says that the headset can deliver up to seventy hours of battery life. I haven’t confirmed that, as I tend to put my headset on charge with its included USB Type-C cable at the end of each day’s use. Razer states that fifteen minutes of charging can yield six hours of play, which is impressive. I've pointed out the positives, and for the negatives... I haven't found any just yet. The headset delivers on Razer's commitments, and I'm very happy with it.

----- SUMMARY ----- Verdict: The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro checks all the boxes. The comfort, audio performance, mic quality, and battery life exceeded my expectations. These features make for a phenomenal headset worth considering. Pros: - Comfortable, even during prolonged use - Excellent audio performance - Impressive mic quality - EQ profiles pre-loaded - 70-hour battery life Cons: - None ----- DETAILS ----- Design & Comfort: With its lightweight design and comfy earcups, the BlackShark V2 Pro can be on my head for hours without discomfort. The clamping force feels just right, and I can wear glasses comfortably with the headset. Since I use the BlackShark V2 Pro for both work and gaming, comfort during hours of use is huge for me. You’ll find the USB Type C charging port, boom microphone jack, microphone mute switch, power button, and volume knob on the left earcup. The right earcup just has one button, but it has multiple functions. Pressing it once changes the selected EQ preset. In standard EQ mode, there are game, movie, music, and custom presets. Holding the EQ button down for three seconds switches the headset to eSports EQ mode where you can swap between presets designed for Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and CS:GO. The same button is also used to switch between the 2.4 GHz connection or Bluetooth. As for build quality, the BlackShark V2 Pro strikes a good balance between lightweight and durable. The headband is flexible, and the earcup sliders are thin but made of stainless steel. Though the earcups are just plastic, they feel solid. Audio Performance: The BlackShark V2 Pro has crystal-clear audio and rich bass. The default EQ profile is pretty balanced. To me, it seems to favor the mids and highs and leaves a little to be desired in terms of bass, but that can be easily adjusted in the Razer Synapse software (more on that later). Whether I’m exploring an open-world single-player game like Red Dead Redemption 2 or competing with other players in a game like Call of Duty, I’m often pleasantly surprised by the level of detail and immersive surround sound produced by the BlackShark V2 Pro. In a game like Call of Duty, hearing faint noises like footsteps can be a significant advantage. Using either the 2.4 GHz connection or Bluetooth, I haven’t experienced any loss of audio or other connectivity issues. Mic Quality: The first time I used the BlackShark V2 Pro headset during a remote work meeting, one of my teammates commented that my voice sounded like it changed to high definition. I had previously used another Razer headset, and my teammates were impressed by the drastic improvement. I recorded my voice to listen for myself, and I agreed with my teammates. The mic quality is exceptional. Features & Software: To custom-tune the sound equalizer, you’ll need to install the Razer Synapse software. If you don’t have it already, you should be prompted to install it once you insert the USB dongle and power on the headset. If you don’t get a prompt, it’s easy to download from Razer’s website. It only takes a few minutes to install. In Razer Synapse, you can set up custom profiles for specific apps and games. As I previously mentioned, there are also pre-built profiles for popular games like Fortnite, Valorant, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and CS:GO. The pre-built profiles come loaded into the headset itself, so Razer Synapse isn’t required to use or swap between the profiles. You simply hold the EQ button on the headset down for three seconds to activate eSports EQ then tap once to switch between the game profiles. When trying out the Fortnite and Call of Duty game profiles for each of those games, I did notice that footsteps, weapon swapping, reloading, and other faint noises seemed to stand out more. I’m not a pro gamer, so I need all the help I can get. Beyond the EQ settings, there are quite a few other useful settings in Razer Synapse as well, such as mic volume normalization, sound normalization, and power saving (the ability to set the auto turn-off duration). Battery Life: With around 70 hours of battery life, I’ve barely had to think about charging the BlackShark V2 Pro. If you solely use the Bluetooth connection, Razer says you could get up to 90 hours. In addition to gaming, I use this headset for working remotely. During meeting-heavy weeks, I’d typically drain most (if not all) of the battery on my previous headset. I think the average battery life of it was around 24 hours. Now, with the BlackShark V2 Pro, I should be able to consistently get two or more weeks of use on one charge. What makes it even better is that charging is fast. In just 15 minutes, the BlackShark V2 Pro can get about 6 hours of battery life. ----- WHAT’S IN THE BOX ----- 1 x Razer BlackShark V2 PRO Wireless Headset 1 x Removeable Razer HyperClear Super Wideband Mic 1 x Wireless USB Dongle 1 x USB Type A Adapter Cable 1 x USB Type A to Type C Charging Cable 1 x Product Manual

Purchased in May 2024. Many software issues and hiccups (well known and documented across the internet) for Razer products. Microphone issues from the software as well, often a plague having to reboot to get it working when launching a program befpre powering on the headset. Worked well enough when they did, however, cheap made plastic that breaks (as shown) doesnt warrant the price. I knew better than to purchase Razer brand products, but after reading many reviews, i figured maybe QA had improved with the products, but i was very wrong. Adult male; meticulously taken care of; Only used by myself and junked after 9 months. Theres better products with other companies.

THE BREAKDOWN: The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is a great headset for wireless gaming. The microphone is great and the has a solid wireless performance. The headset itself if mostly made of plastic, it has wireframe hinges and a thick cushioned headband. This headset doesn’t have any LED’s it does have a subdued logo as it is focused on gaming. I would say that this headset is very comfortable. It has memory foam ear pads wrapped in a breathable fabric which helps with heat building up on those long gaming sessions. On the headset there are only a few buttons, mic mute, power button, volume control knob, razor smart switch (dual wireless Bluetooth and 2.4GHz) and audio profile switcher. This headset connects using a 2.4Ghz USB RF dongle or via Bluetooth. You can charge this headset with USB-C port. Overall, to get this headset setup is fairly easy. The battery life is excellent and comes in at 70 hours on a single full charge. The microphone is excellent and with the Razer Synapse software you get a plethora microphone options. The sound was simply amazing, with the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers made the sound amazing. This also has Pro-Tuned FPS audio profiles that are tuned with some of the top e-sports athletes giving you a competitive edge. You can switch to these profiles for Valorant, Apex Legend, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: GO and Fortnite. You can also fine tune it your own way using the software. PRO’s: - Absolutely stunning sound quality - Solid build and premium design - Audio profiles - Battery life CON’s: - No notches on the volume wheel SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for an item like this.

I bought this and after maybe 6 months a piece broke off while putting the headset on. I contacted Razer thinking this item is under warranty and they would make it right. No they said this isn’t covered under warranty because the damage was not during the intended use of the item and was not a manufacturing issue. UMM a piece that is usually glued welded etc coming apart seems like a manufacturing issue to me and HOW is putting on a headset not in the « intended use »? Needless to say I won’t be buying razer products again. I thought they stood by their products especially given the $200+ price tag but they do not stand by their products or loyal customers.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro 2023 improves upon an already solid device. It has a great microphone, audio output that is optimized for multiplayer gaming, extra cushioning, and a USB-C connector to complete the package. The BlackShark V2 Pro has a rich mid-range, as well as a highend that sounds incredible. They utilize Razer TRIFORCE TITANIUM 50 MM drivers to provide superb sound for any game genre. The microphone is one significant upgrade Razer made to this year's design. One of the greatest headphone microphones (wired or wireless) I have ever used, it is clear and sharp. The sound quality has drawn several accolades from people that I game with, which is great. The headset does not include head adjustments, but instead uses a band that molds around your head. I for one really like not having to manually adjust the headset since the BlackShark does it all on its own. It is extremely comfortable, and I have not had an issue with headaches or heaviness that you feel with some headsets. Long gaming sessions are not a problem at all. The headset also boasts 70 hours of use before having to charge it. As with most Razer products, you can customize the BlackShark V2 Pro using the Raze Synapse but keep in mind it does have pro-tuned profiles on board that you can choose from, which is extremely handy if you play different types of game types. Overall, the headset sounds amazing, and the microphone is, in my opinion, one of the best (if not the best) microphones on any headset. Razer killed it with the 2023 BlackShark V2 Pro.

Seriously disappointed with the build quality of the head phones I’ve had for 6 with maybe very little use and the plastic that hold the ear piece to head band is crumbling apart like cookie crumbs. Very cheaply made for the price definitely do not recommend these! Stay away and look for some better quality build. I had use tape to hold it together witch isn’t very comfortable.

I’ve been using the Razer V2 Pro headset for a while now, and I have to say it’s one of the best gaming headsets I’ve owned. The sound quality is excellent—clear highs, deep bass, and a very immersive surround sound that makes a big difference in competitive games. Footsteps, gunfire, and small details are easy to pick up, which gives me an edge in gameplay. Comfort is another big win here. The ear cushions are soft and breathable, and even after long gaming sessions, I don’t feel that typical pressure or overheating that some headsets cause. The build feels sturdy without being too heavy, so it strikes a nice balance between durability and comfort. The microphone quality is impressive as well. My friends on Discord noticed right away that my voice sounded clearer and more natural compared to my old headset. Noise cancellation on the mic helps a lot, especially if there’s background chatter or other sounds around. Battery life and wireless connectivity are strong points too. I can go hours without worrying about charging, and the connection stays stable with no noticeable lag, which is crucial for gaming. Overall, the Razer V2 Pro delivers on all fronts—sound, comfort, build, and performance. It’s definitely worth the investment if you want a reliable, high-quality gaming headset.

Cracking after 2 months, Razer declining warranty. My last Razer headset lasted for years with no issues. I finally decided to invest in a higher quality Razer headset, and it’s already cracking at the joints. Razer is attempting to decline its warranty. I’m very frustrated because I’ve recommended Razer to countless friends over the years, and the first time I’m requesting legitimate support, I’m declined.

If you’re thinking you might have a weird form of déjà vu seeing a product that looks very familiar but costs significantly more then no worries. It’s not your mind playing tricks on you, it’s that Razer re-used the excellent base design of their previous Blackshark V2 design, they just removed the wires (among other very nice upgrades). It’s a smart choice, since I used the original set for at least a year and found the design to be very comfortable for prolonged gaming sessions! If you’re unfamiliar with the previous design, Razer has made a very sturdy, but light and comfortable headset with breathable fabric and memory foam pads. They are extremely flexible, but don’t get ‘loose’ with extended use. With the increased price tag comes significant improvements in other areas—name sound and mic quality. The speakers are a slight improvement over the previous model and sound very crisp and clear, with 7.1 THX supported for ‘directional gaming’ sounds (though, like most headsets, the low end bass sounds aren’t great—more a limitation of headsets in general, as these sound terrific otherwise). It’s pretty cool in practice, since it really sounds like there are things behind you, beside you, etc, and it’s fairly easy to pinpoint where a sound is coming from in shooters, etc (hugely important for gaming). These are true wireless, Bluetooth headphones that work very well with no noticeable delay between picture and sound. The PS5 doesn’t support Bluetooth (somehow) so a dongle is provided for use with the system. Even across the room from the system there was no noticeable delay between picture and sound. The mic is probably the biggest improvement over the old model. In my playback tests my voice was clear and easily understood even at low levels. My test calls received the same response from the people I called—I even had one friend mention he would have no idea I was on a headset if I hadn’t told him. If you’re already part of the ‘Razer-verse’ then you likely already have the Razer Synapse program installed on your gaming rig. If you don’t, it’s a nice program designed to make all of the Razer products you own ‘sync’ with each other. It also has controls for individual items such as color selection to ‘sync’ the colors on each product (even including their RAM if your PC has a ‘window’), mouse button assignments and much, much more. For the headset it has equalizer adjustments and settings—best thing about this is you can ‘save’ your favorite to the headset! It will carry over if you connect to PS5, and also means you don’t automatically have to open Synapse each time you want to change your EQ settings (and can still be switched to other settings via the headset controls). If you don’t want to bother with a new program on your computer then the good news is that it is not necessary in order to use the headphones. Overall this is a fantastic high-end headset for gaming. If you are in the market for a product like this I highly recommend them—If you’re already in the ‘Razer-verse’ then this is another stellar product that will sync nicely with your other Razer devices.

    Very Comfortable Wireless Gaming Headset!

Audio is a fundamental part in video games, either to improve our record or if we want to play competitively, also communication with your team is extremely important to achieve a victory. It is clear that there are multiple options on the market, however, a headset that combines comfort, audio quality, a microphone with a clear and loud sound, the least amount of buttons, a battery that lasts a long periods of time and at a reasonable price, is a little difficult to find. The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) gaming headset meets practically all of these features and then some. Included in the box are the headset, microphone, wireless USB dongle, USB Type-A adapter, USB Type-A to Type-C charger cable and some documentation. The connection is very simple and easy, I have connected the headset to my PC with the wireless USB dongle and via bluetooth to my smartphone, in both cases the sound quality is quite good. In terms of performance the headset meet my expectations, or practically the demands that PC gaming and gaming in general currently require. The audio quality is outstanding, although I must say that in THX Spatial Audio mode there is not a big change, but it does improve the experience a bit. In relation to comfort I have nothing more to say, I have had them on for several hours daily and I have gotten used to them very quickly, to the point that sometimes I forget that I have them on. I have used them to play video games primarily, to listen to music, watch movies, YT content, listen to podcasts while I'm playing, in fact for multiple purposes and the result is satisfactory. The battery lasts a long time and it really lasts, I have been using these headset for a few days in a row with only a full charge and I have not reached 50% yet, this is a very strong point and that personally is appreciated. And speaking of things that stand out, the microphone is what most receives my attention because normally the microphones of wireless headset and more if they are detachable, don't always deliver a clear and strong sound as one would like, but in this case Razer has made an extra effort and it is noticeable, at all times my teammates hear me correctly and clearly, I have been very satisfied in this area. Regarding the design I can say that they are not the most aesthetic headset I've had because I consider them a little big, but I like them and mainly because they are comfortable. They come in matte black color, with sufficiently large earcups that cover my ear completely, at the moment it seems that I am using noise canceling headset. On the right earcup there is a knob that serves to modulate the volume, two buttons that are power and to mute or activate the microphone, on the right earcup the button to manage the bluetooth connection and also fulfills other functions such as switching device as well as selecting the equalization depending on the game you are playing, the software (Razer Synapse) has 5 presets for games that are Apex Legends, Call of Duty, CS:GO, Fortnite, Valorant, you can also create different presets to taste. In summary and based on my experience using gaming headset of different ranges, I can say that these headset offer enough and a little more for its price, there are headset that are around twice the price with practically the same performance, this product meets, and dare I say, exceeds my expectations. I can certainly recommend them highly.

What I like: Lightweight and easy to use, nice that it’s wireless so you can walk around. Battery lasts a long time so not worried about having to charge it. Fairly easy to use software to get the sound you want (especially good if you have other Razor products). Nice that you can use Bluetooth to connect to your phone (or portal PC) on the go. What I don’t like: Must use as wireless, even though it comes with a long cord that you’d think you could connect to your PC and use as a wired headset. Weird microphone, maybe just my preference, but I like one that can flip up and down to mute and unmute, this one is kind of there and you have a button to press to mute that I don't particularly like. THX needs to be bought as an extra cost. Overall: Generally, I’ve enjoyed the headset, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good sounding wireless headset especially if you have other Razor accessories. There are a couple of weird design choices, but those don’t take away from the good experience I’ve had.

Really liking this headset!! Sound is good, haven't had issues in games telling direction of footsteps...like the feel and how they adjust. Bf and I had the same headset(Turtle Beach Stealths)...they ended up breaking for both of us after 1-2 years...glue could no longer hold it together lol...around the ear area would crack...so we were looking for headsets with metal around the ear pieces(instead of plastic), I got this headset and he got a Logitech headset, I have loved this headset!! Music sounds good as well, decent bass! The white color looks cool and fresh as well, have never had a white headset. Stitching is nice and even on headband.

This is definitely a great wireless headset for gaming and general use. The sound quality is good, it’s nothing amazing but it’s good for day to day use and for games I have found the audio cues to be quite good. The 2.4ghz connection is very strong and it connects seamlessly and automatically with my PC. The Bluetooth is not simultaneous however and switching back and forth between phone and PC is a bit janky but it does work. The microphone quality is also very good, it’s one of the best microphones for a wireless headset but obviously it’s not close to the best for a wired headset. The battery life is really good I only have to charge it once every week with pretty extended usage. Razer synapse gets a lot of hate but personally I think it’s fine and there is a lot of customization for the headset sound and mic. The build quality although light and seemingly flimsy is really good and it seems like it’s going to last. Because of how light it is and the foam they use this is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Overall, even though it’s a bit pricy I would say this is a great wireless gaming headset with arguably the best wireless mic but definitely don’t buy it if you want the best sounding headset or simultaneous BT and 2.4ghz.
