Works perfect with my PS5, and also Steam Deck

As I have tried out, it works perfect with my PS5, and also Valve SteamDeck (through the official Valve Steam Deck Dock) by using the USB 2.4 GHz Receiving Dongle. Regarding the cosmetics and the look/feel of the headset, its feels a bit lighter compared to another headset that I own as its doesn't feel or look bulky all around. What I indeed do indeed like, is the volume knob which is easy to find by touch/feel, unlike a rocker or volume wheel which can be uneasy to find by touch or there may be another rocker wheel that is around the same area but either on the side or below/above; This volume knob is perfect. There is also a mute button for the microphone for easy mute and unmute, as opposed to where some headsets don't have a mute button but only to fold up the mic to turn it off and fold it down to turn the mic on. Also the mic is removable. Another feature I like is the EQ button on the right side (or Smartswitch to toggle between Bluetooth and the 2.4 Dongle Audio Source by holding the button down for a specific amount of time). Currently the presets are Game, Music, Movie and Custom - from what I understand you need this Synapse Software to create Custom Presets. Unfortunately for the time being, I have a Mac and that Synapse software is Windows 10/11 only (Soon I'll have an Asus Rog, handheld gaming PC with Win 11). I did game a couple of Sessions on PS5 playing COD MW II and its sounds good so far - Bass seems good enough if the volume is not too high, and on the Movie sound preset profile, and of course good surround sound to hear what's coming or what's around. But its only a matter of time to create a custom EQ profile soon once I get a Win 11 handheld gaming pc and embed it into the Headset - But Razer should look into consideration if at all possible to make Synapse for iOS, or have this specific Blackshark headset model included in the compatibly for using this other iOS app called Razer Audio (though the app ratings aren't doing too well). Next, I have tried this on my SteamDeck (its a Linux handheld gaming console that runs some PC games from Steam), through their official USB-C/thunderbolt dock that has a number of usb ports and I have also plugged in the 2.4ghz receiver into the available port. It does show up as the audio output source choice in settings; Went ahead and played Deadspace 2 - well it's scarier with the surrounding audio and especially on the Movie EQ setting. Later on played a bit of Halo Infinite and also awesome boom and gunning sounds as well. Overall, it is a great headset for both console and PC, especially customizable EQ settings and the volume knob along with the removable microphone are a couple of things I praised which my older headset didn't have.

    Razer Continues to Lead

Razer continues to lead the headset market with another great addition to the BlackShark line. First and foremost, this 2023 version makes vast improvements to the mic sound quality. The mic is improved so much that it is now up there with the best of the best wireless headset mics in this price range. I use this headset for work. It integrates well with Microsoft Teams and provides a rock steady connection over 2.4GHz, with the included dongle, for conference filled workdays. Between conference calls, it provides excellent sound quality for streaming music. As someone who listens to music at home through Sennheiser HD6XX headphones and Schiit amps and DACs, I am surprised how good this headset sounds on a 2.4 GHz wireless connection to PC. It is more than satisfactory, perfect in fact, for office music listening. For the other reviewers having issues with connection, I am not sure what they are doing. Perhaps they have interference from WiFi or another wireless device, or are connecting the dongle through a USB hub (which is not recommended), but I have not experienced any connection issues over the 2.4GHz dongle connection. I would recommend using the included USB extension cable to bring the wireless dongle to the top of your desk in line of sight, and that should ensure a solid connection, if you are having issues. Finally, battery life. I have been using the headset pretty heavily for 4 work days and am at 50%, so that's pretty good to me. That is all 2.4GHz. Battery life would probably be even better on Bluetooth, but sound quality both in and out would suffer a bit. For those who haven't experienced the other variations of Razer BlackShark headsets, you are in for a comfortable experience. The entire BlackShark line is incredibly cozy and just disappears on your head. By far some of the most comfortable headphones I have worn, period. I have a huge head (size 7 3/4 hat) and have no problem wearing this headset all day. Even my big ears fit comfortably inside the soft earpads. Construction and feel are high quality. One last thing I'll say is that reviewers like to deride and express their dislike of the Razer Synapse software. This seems to have become gamer community rhetoric at this point. If you are a gaming device reviewer you have to comment on how you can't stand Synapse, regardless of it's many improvements in recent years. The fact is, out of all the poor gaming peripheral software out there, Razer is not that bad. I have way more trouble with Logitch GHub, which won't even open more than half the time, or SteelSeries GG which is incredibly disjointed and slow. If you stop and take a look at the whole market, Synapse has more configuration options, is better performing, and easier to use than the competitor's software. One key feature it has is the ability to assign mic mute to any button or key on any Razer device to mute your mic Windows-wide, at a system level, which no competitor can do that I'm aware of. The RAM usage is a little higher than the others, but most PCs these days have more than enough RAM where this is not an issue. I highly recommend this headset for anyone looking for a good, do it all headset.

The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) is a top-tier wireless gaming headset that offers excellent audio quality, a fantastic microphone, and a comfortable design. The extended battery life and Bluetooth connectivity add to its appeal. However, the steeper price tag and occasional software quirks might deter some budget-conscious gamers. If you prioritize superb audio, crystal-clear communication, and long-lasting battery life in a comfortable wireless headset, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) is definitely worth considering.

Really liking this headset!! Sound is good, haven't had issues in games telling direction of footsteps...like the feel and how they adjust. Bf and I had the same headset(Turtle Beach Stealths)...they ended up breaking for both of us after 1-2 years...glue could no longer hold it together lol...around the ear area would crack...so we were looking for headsets with metal around the ear pieces(instead of plastic), I got this headset and he got a Logitech headset, I have loved this headset!! Music sounds good as well, decent bass! The white color looks cool and fresh as well, have never had a white headset. Stitching is nice and even on headband.

    Great Wireless Headset

This is definitely a great wireless headset for gaming and general use. The sound quality is good, it’s nothing amazing but it’s good for day to day use and for games I have found the audio cues to be quite good. The 2.4ghz connection is very strong and it connects seamlessly and automatically with my PC. The Bluetooth is not simultaneous however and switching back and forth between phone and PC is a bit janky but it does work. The microphone quality is also very good, it’s one of the best microphones for a wireless headset but obviously it’s not close to the best for a wired headset. The battery life is really good I only have to charge it once every week with pretty extended usage. Razer synapse gets a lot of hate but personally I think it’s fine and there is a lot of customization for the headset sound and mic. The build quality although light and seemingly flimsy is really good and it seems like it’s going to last. Because of how light it is and the foam they use this is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Overall, even though it’s a bit pricy I would say this is a great wireless gaming headset with arguably the best wireless mic but definitely don’t buy it if you want the best sounding headset or simultaneous BT and 2.4ghz.

Great headset for gaming and streaming! If you don’t have an external microphone the one it comes with is better than every other gaming headset I’ve used in the past. Its very comfy and has a really long battery life so I only have to charge it like once every 1-2 weeks.

I love these headphones. I’ve had them for around 3 years now and I remember picking them for the mic quality. And boy am I glad that I did. The mic quality is unrivaled by any integrated mic into a headset that I’ve ever heard. Quality compares to that of a mid-tier standalone mic, which is insanely clear. The razer program has changed over the years and updates have came out so I won’t speak on razer synapse. But the headset itself has built in presets whether you’re playing single player games, watching movies, or you primarily play ESport titles. It even has preset for specific esport games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, CoD and more. They’ve held up terrific, run for days without needing charged, and if they do need charged, they run perfectly while connected to the cord to charge them, no high pitch microphone noise or any of that.

This headset is not only comfortable, but it's actually amazing to wear. I use this headset in a call center setting, and this is not only clear, but it's good quality with a nice frequency response curve. This won't compete against the top tier mics like the AT2020 or the PodMic, but for a wireless headset mic, this surely is the price of $200. I know some will be turned away about the $200 price point, but it's well worth with the amount of features it actually has. 50 mm drivers, THX spatial audio, wireless (of course), a proper volume dial; better than the previous version where it had a cutoff point, 70 hours of battery life, USB-C charging, Bluetooth phone connectivity, Audio profile switcher EQ, and many more. The microphone isn't really the downside, but at the end of the day, for a hyper clear microphone, it does beat all the other wireless gaming headsets out there. The frequency response is 100Hz - 10 kHz, so it's not really the best...but it will get you by with a very nice quality microphone. Overall, I give this rating a rating a 9/10. Has a bit of very minor flaws, but I feel like these flaws does not really impact the overall feel and quality this headset provides. This works for gaming, gameplay recordings, call center work (if your company allows it), and many more.

Purchased these for my PS5, but these headphones are so good that I now use them for work. The mic is great and the 70hr battery life is amazing. The razor synapse works with these as well, which lets you fine tune your headphones. They are light, comfortable and great at noise canceling. These head phones are a must at the price and lower.

The sound quality of these headphones are the best ive heard from any headphones I’ve purchased, in fact its a little too good and can get too loud as many other headphones don’t even get loud enough. They have an EQ button for different types of ways to hear your audio which is very helpful as well. I average 2-3 hours of playing a game and they are comfortable the whole time no soreness, sliding or anything. Battery life is also very impressive as well. The mic sound’s outstanding. I listened to a few clips of my voice and it sounds like audio from a studio microphone. I was also told while in game chat that I sound extra clear. Overall its a very good buy and worth the investment.

Once properly EQ'd, the audio can be very similar to more expensive SteelSeries headsets for $100 cheaper. If you don't adjust the EQ it is very bass heavy and can distort sounds in some games. It also has one of the best mics I have ever heard on a headset. The quality of the mic rivals other $50 standalone mics, while still managing to be slim and detachable. The stock earmuffs are also very comfortable and the design of the headset seems like it should last for years to come. The battery life also lasts for multiple days without charging, and when you do finally have to charge it, you can have a full charge in about 30 minutes.

Comfortable, great sound and eq, most importantantly lets not forget how they last me all day. I really do mean all day, some days up to 16 hours of gaming. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 out of 5 was after doing a little digging, i ended having to hook it up to a pc to get all the bells and whistles going. Im older and pc illiterate lol. Im a console gamer and prefer to not invole something comlicated like a pc. I would recommend these but let it be know a pc is needed to get everything it has to offer.

Pros; excellent battery life, i feel like i never need to charge it. Good quality mic. Headset is lightweight. Connects super fast after turning on (much faster than my Turtlebeach lineup) Cons; the sliding adjustment on the earcups seem to never maintain the position and youll have to readjust everytime you put on, not a big deal, slightly inconvenient. The only other complaint is the headset is a bit expensive for what i think it is. Feels more like a $80 headset.. not going to lie. Overal not bad but they should be a bit cheaper atleast. Would be a 5 star if it wasnt for the need to adjust everytime

Very comfortable and light. I'm coming Virtuoso XT. Though I missed simultaneously BT and Wireless Audi but it's not a big deal by clicking the EQ button twice to switch between. Mic quality is the best in the market for the wireless headset. Sound is good to me and I'm just a casual gamer. When connected to my Mac, I do find myself putting the volume to 75% and up. Same when connected to my switch OLED via BT. Other than that very happy with it. Battery life is crazy good!!

I’ve had these for a couple of months now and they work very well. They sound great, the mic is very good and they hold a charge for a long time. I only have to really charge them maybe once a week. The only con for me is the Razer Synapse software that is required. It’s buggy. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn’t. Otherwise a very solid purchase.

I mainly play FPS games, and after adjusting the EQ settings on this headset, I can hear in-game footsteps with incredible clarity—giving me a huge advantage in matches. Plus, the account sync saves my settings, so even if I switch computers, I don’t have to reconfigure anything. The comfort is unmatched—by far the most comfortable gaming headset I’ve ever worn, no contest. Highly recommended!
