Great sounding headphones
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite good sound for headphones. Im comparing to a full dolby atmos home theatre set up. The sound quality varies with the game source. Newer games with good sound tend to sound great with a decent bass punch. The bass isnt real strong but it has a nice sound. Halo Infinite sounded very impressive. There is sometimes an issue with grainy sound if the wire is positioned a certain way, or maybe its the headphone adapter. I have to mess with it sometimes to get the sound clear. Thats about the only real issue Ive had.

Meh
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got there’s for my partner on a whim since he’s a gamer and had the most busted earphones. It’s been about 2 years now and they’ve held up pretty great, the only down fall he’s mentioned is the audio messing up here and there but this was after a good year and a half of constant use every day.

Very solid headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these on sale for about $20 off and they are definitely worth it. The padding is super comfortable and only really heated up past 3 hours of play and were still comfy for me. I have big ears and they fit nicely in the cups of the ears. The surround sound works super well and while it may not be a perfect implementation in my opinion, they still sound great as a consumer and you can set an EQ in the Razer synapse. I would recommend these to anyone who have a larger head and don’t mind the cable. The sound usb card is essential btw.

Possibly one of Razer's best headsets.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The $99 headset market is crowded these days and it's hard to make anything that really stands out, but Razer managed to create a package that gives some serious competition. Out of the box, this headset's overall design is simpler than, say, their Kraken line save the green razer logo on the earcups and the cable connecting them to the headband. The only place this headset really misses for me is that the cable is permanently attached. Overall though, the build is sturdy. Being aimed at Esports, the Blackshark V2 puts sound and comfort first, and it delivers on both. The newly designed "Triforce" drivers produce clear sound that is more balanced than Razer's other offerings. though there is still that slight emphasis on the low end, but it doesn't muddy up the mix whatsoever. They're fantastic for gaming and sound good for almost anything else too. The included USB sound card gives you access to features such as THX Spatial Sound, which CAN make some games feel more immersive, but I've always found spatial audio to be hit or miss. Fortunately you can also plug the headset in via 3.5mm for compatibility with just about anything with a headphone jack. The breathable fabric earcups are comfortable and will keep your head cooler than typical leatherette while still providing a good seal for noise isolation. The microphone when using the USB sound card sounds about the same as most gaming headsets. When using it plugged directly into a 3.5mm jack however, it actually sounds much better, arguably almost as good as my higher end Sennheiser headsets. Also, it's detachable, which is always a plus. If only the headset cable was too. The biggest competition for this headset is, funny enough, Razer itself in my opinion. In particular, its less expensive sibling, the Blackshark V2 X which comes in at $59. Where they differ is the lack of a USB sound card, a green cable on the X rather than Razer's "SpeedFlex" that the $99 version has, leatherette earcups, and a permanently attached microphone. While the driver design is the same on both headsets, the $99 version's are "titanium coated" which makes them sound "better" but not enough to easily discern. Really, you can't go wrong with either version, but the more premium features on this one, even without the USB sound card are enough that I prefer this one over the X. Overall, if you've only got $100 to spend on a headset, it's a great value and really shows Razer's commitment to improving their products. Now if only they could figure out how to make a detachable cable...

Sounds stinks (defective I think will return them)
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm giving them 3 stars just based off of other reviews. Me personally I'll be returning them on my PS5 there is little to no volume and ZERO bass. On my Series X they get a little bit louder but still no base. The volume knob is probably broke to because after halfway mark the volume is all the way off. So I'm essentially losing half my audio. Now on the positives these are HANDS DOWN the most comfortable set of headphones on the planet bar none. I like the simple look of them to and are super lightweight.
