Good headset with some downsides
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: -Good sound quality for both mic and headphones -Slightly looser fit so it does not get uncomfortable while wearing glasses -Adjustable volume dial and mute buttons are nice features which are easy to determine state or engagement without needing to use the headphones (halfway point click for volume and click & in-out state on the mute button) -Adjustable mic is nice to be able to adjust volume by moving closer or further away depending on the other person's input -Comfortable feel around the ears and on top of the head -Headset feels solid and not fragile Cons: -Loose fit is slightly too loose across my head with no horizontal adjustment causing it to move; I typically wear a hat to help compensate during longer sessions -Surround sound program never loaded properly after download. Tried to uninstall/reinstall twice but always either didn't load or came up blank -I wish the up/down movement of the ear phones was more stable/slightly more rigid - it doesn't take much to move them accidentally causing unbalanced seating between the different sides -The movable mic could be a little more rigid - any contact moves it a significant amount which can be irritating when it was well placed before

Razer BlackShark V2 X Wired Gaming Headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it !!!The Razer BlackShark V2 X Wired Gaming Headset is a fantastic choice for gamers seeking premium audio quality, comfort, and cross-platform compatibility without breaking the bank. After spending some time with this headset, here are my thoughts: Audio Performance: 9/10 The TriForce 50mm drivers deliver crystal-clear audio with rich highs, powerful mids, and deep bass. Whether you're immersed in the roar of battle or listening for subtle enemy footsteps, the soundstage is impressive and enhances the gaming experience. It also handles music and movies surprisingly well for a gaming-focused headset. Comfort and Design: 8/10 The lightweight design, weighing only 240 grams, makes it easy to wear for extended gaming sessions. The memory foam ear cushions are soft and breathable, ensuring comfort even during marathon gaming. However, the lack of swivel on the ear cups might be a drawback for some users. Microphone Quality: 8.5/10 The HyperClear Cardioid Microphone performs admirably, isolating your voice from background noise. Your teammates will hear you loud and clear, whether you're coordinating strategies or just chatting. The detachable design adds convenience when you don’t need it. Compatibility: 10/10 The versatility of this headset is a standout feature. It's compatible with PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and other devices with a 3.5mm audio jack. Plug-and-play simplicity ensures you can switch between devices effortlessly. Build Quality: 7.5/10 The headset feels durable but uses mostly plastic materials, which might not appeal to those looking for a more premium build. Despite this, it feels solid enough for regular use. Value for Money: 9/10 Considering the price point, the Razer BlackShark V2 X offers exceptional value. You get high-quality audio, a comfortable design, and cross-platform compatibility at a budget-friendly price. Pros: Excellent sound quality with TriForce 50mm drivers. Lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions. Highly versatile with multi-platform compatibility. Effective microphone for clear communication. Cons: Non-swiveling ear cups might limit comfort for some. Plastic build could feel less premium.

Precision Sound with a Price Bang
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer BlackShark V2 X in white delivers impressive audio quality, comfort, and versatility at a very competitive price point. Designed for gamers who want clear communication and immersive sound without breaking the bank, this wired headset works seamlessly across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Audio performance is a standout feature — the Razer TriForce 50mm drivers produce crisp highs, rich mids, and punchy bass, making in-game soundscapes feel more detailed and engaging. Whether you’re tracking enemy footsteps in a shooter or enjoying cinematic background music, the sound is well-balanced and precise. The cardioid microphone does a great job isolating your voice from background noise, ensuring teammates hear you clearly. While it’s not detachable, it’s flexible enough to position comfortably, and voice pickup is clean for both casual gaming and competitive matches. Comfort is another strong point. The memory foam ear cushions with breathable fabric keep the headset comfortable for long sessions, and its lightweight build (just 240g) prevents fatigue. The all-white finish gives it a sleek, modern look that stands out without being flashy. Being a wired headset, there’s no need to worry about battery life, and it’s simply plug-and-play with any 3.5mm-compatible device. The only trade-off is that it lacks surround sound features found in higher-end models, but for stereo gaming audio, it’s excellent for the price. Pros: Clear, balanced audio with Razer TriForce 50mm drivers Lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions Crisp, noise-isolating cardioid microphone Universal 3.5mm compatibility across platforms Stylish and clean white design Cons: No detachable mic Stereo only, lacks built-in surround sound Wired connection means no wireless freedom Verdict: The Razer BlackShark V2 X in white is a fantastic choice for gamers who value clear sound, comfort, and multi-platform compatibility at an affordable price. It punches above its weight in audio quality and comfort, making it ideal for both casual and competitive play.

Amazing Headset!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing for the price, by far. The surround sound system works wonderfully, very comfortable, no pain after long periods of use, and lightweight. The microphone is good, being able to move it more freely compared to my previous headset is so much better. Amazing product, feels great, would buy again.

Really great value and do last long
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So realizing Ive had these headsets for an over a year it was only right to make a fair review of them. Also, because ironically I repurchased the exact same ones lol. I’m pretty destructive and headsets would probably last a good few months for me because I tend to throw them around(not angrily lol I just toss them when finished with use) or even found myself sitting on them at times. These have withstood all the tests. The mic is great, I love the fit as someone who has always disliked headsets because I don’t like how restricting headsets can feel. They last long and don’t break down as quickly. Maybe an ear muff came off but it’s easy to reattach. I’ll be honest I swore it was because I purchased the pc Xbox one which was on sale at the time. So it could have updated the model but I remember always having to twist the cord to hear or even be heard. However with this new model I have had no issues so far and the quality is even better from the one I had before. Only recently have I had mic problems. Otherwise I recommend especially since they made this new model, also always great to get it on sale, especially if youre new to trying any razer products. This is definitely worth it. It’s funny how long these have last for me because even with the problems I did have with the older model I still used it for a year and a half, so it’s says a lot.

Incredible Value for a Quality Headset!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new headset for my PC that wouldn't break the bank, and I'm honestly blown away by the BlackShark V2 X. For this price point, the quality is just fantastic. Sound: The audio is the star of the show. In games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends, the directional audio is super clear. I can easily pinpoint enemy footsteps and gunfire, which has genuinely improved my gameplay. The 7.1 Surround Sound software for PC is a nice bonus and works surprisingly well. For music and movies, they sound great too. Mic: My friends on Discord and Xbox noticed the difference immediately. They said my voice comes through crystal clear with almost no background noise. The mic isn't detachable, but it's flexible and stays where you put it. Comfort: These are LIGHT. I can wear them for long gaming session without any of that head-crushing feeling or my ears getting hot. The memory foam cushions are super soft and do a great job of blocking out ambient room noise. Bottom line: If you're looking for a top-tier experience on a budget, this is it. It easily competes with headsets that cost twice as much.

Outstanding Clarity & Comfort—Premium Feel at a Bu
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the Razer BlackShark V2 X and it’s quickly become my go-to headset for gaming, console, and casual use. Sound & Surround Performance Equipped with Razer’s 50 mm TriForce drivers, the V2 X delivers crisp and immersive audio. On PC, the 7.1 surround sound adds excellent spatial awareness—footsteps, gunfire, and directional cues are easy to track. The sound profile leans slightly bass-heavy, which works great for games like Fortnite and Call of Duty, making intense moments more impactful. Microphone Quality The HyperClear cardioid boom mic picks up voice clearly while rejecting background noise. It performs well in team chat and is surprisingly clear for a headset at this price point. Friends noticed the improvement in voice quality right away. Comfort & Build Weighing just around 240g with memory-foam ear cushions and a padded headband, it’s comfortable for marathon gaming sessions. The closed-back design provides decent passive noise isolation—enough to block out distractions without fully isolating you from your surroundings. Design & Usability The headset connects via a 3.5mm jack, making it compatible across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox, Switch, and mobile devices. There’s a built-in volume wheel and a quick mute switch on the headset itself—simple but effective. The build is mostly plastic with some metal reinforcement, so while it feels light, it’s best to handle with care since the cable isn’t detachable.

Gaming Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this gaming headset for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed. The sound quality is amazing – crisp highs, deep bass, and excellent surround effect, which really enhances my gameplay, especially in FPS games. I can hear every footstep and distant gunshot with precision. The microphone is also crystal clear. My teammates say my voice sounds much better than with my old headset. It does a great job blocking out background noise too. Comfort-wise, this headset is top-tier. The ear cushions are soft and breathable, and the adjustable headband fits perfectly without feeling too tight. I’ve worn it for 4–5 hour sessions with no discomfort at all. Build quality feels solid and durable. The RGB lighting is a nice touch, not too flashy, but stylish enough to complement my setup. Overall, this is a fantastic headset for the price. Whether you’re a casual gamer or someone who plays every day, I highly recommend it.

The Greatest Headphones on the Planet!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the best headphones I've ever bought in my life... I have thrown these headphones against a wall, I watched them blow apart. I pieced them back together and I still use them to this day. The mic quality is excellent, the spacial audio is excellent. They have great bass and are pretty comfortable too. You WILL NOT find a better headset, trust me... I'm an expert at breaking them and these things are still alive!

Comfortable, good sound, everything you'd want
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using these for a week or two. They are real comfortable. There is something about surround sound that is advertised but you have to get an app or something that's not on the Apple Store. I didn't get it and they work good enough out of the box. Only thing I don't like is the connection port doesn't connect as firmly as I would like. Seems a little weak.

A lightweight headset that won't break the bank
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You know how you don't realize that your previous headset was heavy until you buy a new one that isn't? Yeah, that happened. This particular set is feather-light yet feels well-made, and the sound is decent for the price range. Not only do I use them for long gaming sessions, but also for casually listening to music, so they get a LOT of daily use and are probably the most comfortable I've owned, sans one detail described below. On the opposite side of the coin, I had to replace the ear pads within the first week, as the originals had seams just inside the cups that were frequently digging into my ears. If you're sensitive to things like that, pay a little extra and go up to the next higher model (they were on display in my local store and the pads did not have that annoying seam, they are however a bit of a price jump) or plan on finding replacements. Additionally, the 7.1 surround sound (comes as a download link in email after registration, NOT included in the box) also leaves something to be desired. While it might be fine if you mainly play FPS games, for me personally as a non FPS player, it just muddied everything else, so I uninstalled. Overall however, I am extremely happy with this purchase, as comfort with long wear and affordability were the two top things I was looking for.

Excellent for meetings, classes, and daily use
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought these headphones for online classes and video meetings, and they have been absolutely wonderful. The sound quality is excellent — clear, crisp, and perfect for both listening and speaking. The microphone picks up my voice really well, and the headset is very comfortable even after long hours of use. They feel lightweight, durable, and reliable. I highly recommend these not just for gaming, but also for remote work and online learning.

Wish the 3.5mm was louder
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They're nice. They feel light on the head and cover my (smaller) ears comfortably. They have a good feel and when paired with the software on PC, they sound great! The ear cups insulate really well and there's very little bleed out into the room. I happen to really like the volume knob on the side of the headset - no searching for buttons or hitting the wrong one on accident. However... and this may just be a "me" problem, but when they're plugged into my phone or tablet with the 3.5mm connection they're not the loudest. They're pretty quiet for this price range. In fact, I just checked them on PC and phone playing the same Youtube video on both. The PC topped them out at 90 dB, while the phone was just 60 dB. To verify just how much effect the phone was having, I tried the headset these are replacing and the other set I have. Those were 70 and 75 dB on the phone and high 80's on PC. This tells me the software is giving these a significant boost - which is fine if all you will ever use them for is gaming. Unfortunately for me, these are also meant to replace the headphones I wear at night watching movies - which is over a 3.5mm jack. To be fair, these are marketed as gaming headphones - though I'm not sure how they sound on a console - my kids only left me the PS3. I'm giving 4 stars for the comfort and the great sound on PC. If they weren't as good as they are there, they'd go back. They just don't sound quite good enough or get quite loud enough (for me) to use as an everyday headset for my phone. For those who are unfamiliar with what a 10 dB difference sounds like, 60 is a loud electric toothbrush and 70 is freeway traffic. Also, listening to prolonged sounds above 70 dB is bad for your ears, kids!

Worth the buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it’s been a great headset and feels awesome to wear, I’ve had headsets where they feel uncomfortable after 30 minutes of gameplay or so especially with glasses, but these feel great. A lot of headsets I’ve used had a mic eco and it would get annoying but not these. Definitely a good choice to consider and great price.

Crystal Clear Sound and Comfort!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing the Xbox Series X, I dove into researching headsets to play with family across the country. The decision between wireless and wired was tough, but for the sake of mic quality and never having to worry about charging, this Kraken headset became the clear winner. I watched countless mic tests online to make sure I wouldn't sound like I was underwater – and I'm happy to say, the mic on this headset is fantastic. My friends hear me crystal clear, no issues whatsoever. As someone with a larger head and bigger ears, comfort is key, and these ear cuffs don’t disappoint. They fit perfectly, offer excellent noise cancellation, and produce beautiful, crisp sound. I’ve even started using them for my streaming setup since they allow me to easily monitor my mic levels. The handy volume knob on the side is another great touch, keeping me immersed in the game without having to mess with speaker adjustments. Plus, the mic tucks up neatly when I’m not using it, and unlike other headsets with non-detachable mics, it doesn't look bulky on camera. This is my second Kraken headset for Xbox, and I’m definitely sticking with this brand!

Good design, weird bass quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hardware seems good enough for my use - the cord is robust, and the earpieces fit snugly on my head (though it can get somewhat hot, especially with this summer weather). The mic seems alright and has not given me any trouble. This headset probably has decent audio for the price (especially when on sale!), but it's not without its quirks. Before this I've been using earbuds for years, so I really don't remember how surround sound is supposed to feel like. Compared to earbuds, however, while bass is much more present, bass does also just feel more muffle-y, kind of lacking in clarity in my opinion.

Durable, Decent mic and very noise cancelling.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given to my Granddaughter as a gift who is a avid gamer. Price was midgrade 60.00 so didn't break my bank. She's had them for awhile now and says the sound is amazing and the mic picks up great with clear voice. She loves that the headset is lightweight and ear pads very comfortable for long sessions. Her mother complains because they are so noise canceling she can't hear anything going on around her; I take that as a positive. Biggest positive I see is the durability. She's rough on stuff and these have held up beautifully. Definitely worth the money.
