HUGE RAZER FAN SWITCHING TO CORSAIR!

I've always been a huge Razer fan, HOWEVER, I probably will not continue to support them in the future. I purchased this keyboard because my old keyboard would double type letters with a single keystroke. Low and behold, this new keyboard has the exact same problem! Especially the letter "o". It's extremely annoying to have to go back and fix every word that has an "o" in it especially after spending $229 on a keyboard! I think they have gone over the edge trying tyring to create the fastest most responsive keyboard on the market, resulting in overly sensitive keys.

Simply put, amazing keyboard. I love tactile keyboards, and the keys feel perfect with a great click. The RGB customization is very in depth if youre in to that, including matching the colors of you games, though i always leave it on a rainbow gradient wave. I will say the volume wheel is horrible though, spinning in one direction constantly switches from increasing to decreasing volume. I never use it to begin wirh anyways so doesnt affect my review.

As someone that works from home permanently now, but still wants to get some PC gaming in on my own desktop. This was perfect. It offers bluetooth connectivity for my work laptop and then 2.4ghz wireless for the PC or leave it plugged in. My problem is they only give you green switches (clicky) or yellow (not tacticle). I thought I'd try to warm up to the clicky switches but I just cant. Also the volume wheel selectively decides when it wants to work or not. No addtional USB port to plug in wireless mouse, but overall high quality keycaps. Cheap feeling wrist rest, unfortunately. Give us more options, beef up the wrist rest, and make sure software works flawlessly and you get that last star.

Seen a lot of mixed reviews on here and wanted to add my two cents. first off, this keyboard is pretty dang clicky, now that is something that is pretty preference based from person to person, i personally love it, but can see how some people wouldn't. secondly, set your expectations for this keyboard and any other when looking at wireless keyboards, they aren't going to last forever on battery, especially when using the lighting at max brightness, from what I can find, full brightness white lights is going to burn the battery in a mere 5 hours! I use the lightning at about 40% and has been going for at least 12 hours so far. now the great thing about the battery is the charging, it uses a usb-c cable to charge, which means the unit charges very quickly, in about an hour or so. Razer says that this keyboard can last about 50 hours when the lighting is off. The last thing to expect is some connectivity issues, I have a lot of USB's on my PC, so decided to put both my wireless mouse and this wireless keyboard dongle right next to each other, bad decision, the keyboard was overpowering the mouse and it was disconnecting constantly. This was a simple fix as I just moved my dongle for my mouse to the USB hub that I have on the opposite side of my setup. No issues since. Final thoughts, this keyboard is a bit clicky (fully preference), battery doesn't last forever(no keyboard this size with rgb lighting does), and a bit picky on where you put the dongle when using other 2.4ghz devices nearby, but all in all, I love this keyboard so far, but will have to see long term how it goes. Once last thing, and a main gripe of mine is the wrist rest, I had the huntsman elite keyboard from Razer before, and it had a magnetic wrist rest that keeps it close and attached to the keyboard, this keyboard's wrist rest does not have that at all. Now that is prob because the main body of the keyboard is plastic, but man for $230 you think they could figure something out. Anyway, hopefully this helps someone, and worse comes to worse, I would say that best buy has a great return policy that allows you to return this kind of thing within 15 days even if you just dont like it.

Great keyboard if you're not using a Mac

I have mixed feelings about this keyboard. I absolutely love it, but I wish it was more versatile. This is my first mechanical keyboard. I type a lot for work and I thought it would be great for work. So far I like the feel of the mechanical keys and the colors help when I'm working late nights & the keyboard is harder to see since it can get dark in the keyboard tray. I also work two different jobs and I wanted something that could easily switch between both computers. This doesn't seamlessly switch between computers the way other wireless keyboards do. Some require just pushing a button or switching a toggle. With this keyboard you have to hold down fn and the number key for that device and wait for it to pair. So it can take a few seconds to switch back and forth. My biggest complaint is that it is not Mac friendly. And I understood that when I ordered it, but I assumed there would be some things that I would be able to change or do directly on the keyboard itself. You can not. The only way to control the keyboard with the software that only works on PC. So then I decided to connect it to one of my work PCs and create some light settings and put them on the "on board memory" of the keyboard. However, that doesn't work either. The on-board memory only works when the keyboard is synced with a PC. So I'm not sure what the point even is. I did a lot of digging online thinking maybe I just wasn't doing the right thing or there had to be a workaround to make it work but the consensus of the people who know far more about this than me is that there is no fix. So when I am connected to my Mac it just does the continuous rotation of colors. Which isn't awful, but I purchased the keyboard in part thinking I could set the colors the way I wanted but that only works when I'm using the PC (which is not as often). Overall it is a great keyboard. It looks and feels great. The wrist-rest is very soft and looks nice. I just wish I had more control over it while using the Mac. So Mac users beware. But since I use it for both, I decided to keep it because the quality of the keyboard is great.

Amazing keyboard... the mechanical feel makes this keyboard such a joy to type with... I rated this 4 stars because if i didn't have to use the wrist rest then i think it would be much better.. If i don't use the wrist rest, it's hard to type on this keyboard because of how high it sits up on my desk.. Other than that, this keyboard is a must have for gaming.. it's wireless with the razer wireless dongle, and bluetooth as well.. This makes it so that i can use my windows machine with the wireless usb dongle, and then bluetooth to my mac.. Other people have mentioned the double typing, but i have updated the firmware on this device like i did with my razer naga pro mouse, and since then i have had no issues with double typing or anything like that.

Great keyboard, the aesthetics on it are top notch. Typing with it is full on ASMR heaven. This keyboard is one of the best I have owned as it fulfills my everyday needs. If I am not gaming on my PC, I can bring it to work and easily connect it to another device via blue tooth (i.e. my tablet) without the need to bring the 2.4 USB.

PROS: - Mechanical features of the keyboard has a very good feel when typing. - Media buttons and knob was a very cool feature - Custom lighting looks great CONS: - Problematic driver/firmware with Windows fast user switching. Expect not to be able to use this basic windows functionality at all. Your profiles will not load when switching users while on this KB. (Go through the forums and read about it) - Keyboard functions can be inconsistent. Ex: The volume knob one day will decide that its the mouse scroll knob. You need to reprogram the keys thru Synapse to fix it. - Software does not even know when you place your PC to sleep, lights will (at times) remain ON which will drain your battery. - Synapse can slow down your computer. I think the expectation is you have a beefy gaming computer. If you are planning to use on a regular PC then expect slowness. For being one of the MOST expensive keyboards out there and rated as one of the best wireless gaming KB, it was definitely a let down. Razer should have no excuse with the software because its marketed as premium device.

I love this keyboard. The clicky tactile feel of the green switches is awesome. I’m not a gamer so I just use it for every day work. Also I love the RGB. I took a star off because it doesn’t have very long battery life, but I do type every day all day so there that. AND I’m an Apple user and was disappointed to find out that razor didn’t support the current Mac OS which means I’m left with just the rotating RGB for now.

Overall the keyboard works for what it does well. I fell the quality is not quite as high as I would hope for things such as the hand restpad and the switches are not personaly to my liking. But it does work very well for use on multiple machines as I do. Bluetooth mode for my work laptop during business hours and the direct port for after hours.

Fantastic keyboard, and feels like it's a genuine premium product. Sadly, I don't think I can recommend it unless it's on sale. The dollar to dollar value for it gets trumped by other keyboards with lower value, such as the Z15 by EVGA without the bluetooth/ dongle capability (which, btw, it's not that expensive to get a bluetooth hub), in which case you are paying the premium for the "Razer" brand, not the keyboard itself.

I am loving this keyboard so far. The Pros: -LOVE the tactile and audible clicking when typing -Very comfortable to type on -The volume knob, such a great design. -2 levels of adjustable angle/height -Bright, RGB lights make it easy to see in the dark, and adds just a fun element to the design. Cons: -The door on the bottom that hides the USB dongle was incredibly difficult to open. I had to pry mine open with a knife, bending/scratching the plastic in the process. -The wrist rest is not magnetic. I upgraded from a razor ornata v2 keyboard, and I loved that the wrist pad to that one was magnetic, to hold it in place. This one is not magnetic, and does tend to slide around -The media buttons (other than the volume knob) seem kind of pointless to me. I would have liked to see those as programmable buttons instead. But that's just me.

Absolutely love this keyboard. Easy weight on the keys but lots of sound. Love the razer synapse chroma customization and visualization. I’m entirely new to the gaming world and wanted something I could game with and enjoy for work from home. I’ve been using it this week for work and I’m seriously so happy. Excellent product. Keys are clicky but not overly loud. RGB lights easily synced with my Philips Hue setup but can also just sync with what appears on the screen. Haven't experienced any latency with typing and I am about 5 - 8 ft away from my PC. A bit pricey but not sure you can get a wireless keyboard with RGB of this quality elsewhere... also 2 year warranty from Razer which is great.

To address other reviewers giving this a bad review because of the issue of the sticky keys typing multiple times per press - "ghost keys" - I think I read someone call it. I had this same issue at first, but it quickly went away. It was just a matter of pressing the keys and allowing the keyboard to sort of warm up and break in a little. I really think that if they would have known about that issue and known that it goes away after a little bit of use that they would love it as much as I do. I've had this keyboard for about a year now and it has held up wonderfully. It is an incredible piece of tech. Very high-quality. Built like a tank. It is solid with a metal base. Even the cords that Razer include with their products are luxurious and intelligently designed. The battery lasts for ages. The Razer software is great and the rgb Chroma capabilities are super cool. I'm so happy with it that here I am all this time later writing a review in defense of it because I saw a couple 1 star reviews which it does NOT deserve.

I am a laptop guy and typically wear the keyboards out quickly. I decided to get a separate keyboard to try and reduce wear and tear. I wanted wireless and something built like a tank. I initially looked at SteelSeries, but they don't make anything wireless. I then stumbled on this one. I am glad I bought it. Apart from the frame being metal (Aluminum I believe) this thing is built like (probably better than) the old IBM AT keyboards, but much snappier. I love the per key Chroma lighting, the fact it can be run as wired/usb, wireless using their HyperSpeed USB Dongle (Which by the way allows you to pair 2 select Razer items to the 1 dongle (Sadly not the Basilisk Ultimate)), or by Bluetooth. Coming from laptops, the keys are a bit clicky, but that is expected with a mechanical keyboard (I honestly forgot how much I liked and missed that sound when typing). I would definitely recommend this laptop. I am really glad I purchased it.

I LOVE this keyboard. The action of the green switches are fantastic. It has just the response and clickiness that I was looking for in a mechanical keyboard. I've tried the Logitech G915 Wireless ($230), the Logitech G815 ($180), the Corsair K95 ($200), and the Corsair K70 ($70) and I couldn't find the right feeling. I'm a computer technician so I sit and type all day and I'm just really impressed with this keyboard. Pros - 2.4GHz - Bluetooth connectivity (major plus) - Allows you to connect with another Razer Hyperspeed dongle so that both your mouse and keyboard use the same dongle, freeing up a USB port - Wireless - Rechargeable - Works flawlessly when paired with other Razer products allowing you to synchronize your lighting scheme on your rig and your peripherals. Cons - The wrist cushion is detached with no way to anchor it to the keyboard so it's kinda annoying having to fix that all the time. - Doesn't have any G keys that allow for Macro binding. Overall, I definitely say you get what you pay for. I'd definitely buy another one if this one broke, and I'd definitely suggest it to friends looking for a good wireless, mechanical, gaming keyboard.
