Hmmm
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this this other day for my new build. Installed Synapse without any success. Keyboard drivers failed to install. Tried reaching out to Razer Support a few times. Every attempt has been a failure on their part. I don't recommend this product because Razer needs to learn a thing or two in the realm of technical support. It does appear to look like a great built product, but after researching the interweb I found I'm not the only one dealing with this issue, and the lack of support from Razer. Very disappointed.

It’s ok
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard works just like a mechanical keyboard but however the RGB in the keyboard only holds the program for the lights for a week then goes back to the default setting

Great when it works
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frequently when using the keyboard in any capacity, keys would "stick" and continue sending their input until another key is struck. After two rounds of Razer claiming I had a defective unit and sending me another (which had the exact same problem, both times) I can only conclude this is a problem with the keyboard model itself. Razer apparently is unwilling to accept something is wrong and insists I just keep getting defective units, despite this happening three times in three keyboards.

broke after a month
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a very nice keyboard- I liked the look and feel of the keys. But after a month, a few keys locked, and would just be depressed when I tried to type. It is no longer returnable. For 100 dollars, I expect more than this. And no, I spilled nothing on it. It just happened. Bummer

Isn't performing properly
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this for our son and after about 1 month it started randomly typing letters on its own all across the page and wouldn't stop until it was unplugged. Looking to return this product either for a replacement or different brand.

Good lighting but it’s not good.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is times where no lights come on, and only the space bar works for some reason. I thought it was a setting but it wasn’t . I unplugged it and plug it back on and it works fine.

Almost Perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this keyboard as a Father's Day gift. I used to have a (the original?) Razer Blackwidow several years ago, but I threw it in with the deal when I sold my desktop PC before doing a long distance move. The keyboard is almost perfect, but it has these three faults: 1. The secondary keys are not backlit. I mean that, for example, while the '/' is backlit, the '?' under it is not. I assume Razer did this for aesthetic reasons, but it does not make practical sense. I am a touch typist, so I rarely look at the keys anyway. However, I think the secondary keys should be backlit. 2. The on-board memory does not work at all, as far as I can tell. There appears to be no way to change the keyboard from using the default settings without connecting it to a computer with the Razer Synapse software installed. Otherwise, it will always do the default color cycling pattern. 3. The keyboard plays well with my KVM, but only if I plug it into the USB 2.0 port. My KVM has three ports for USB devices, and only one of them is USB 2.0. If I plug it into a USB 1.x port, then the Razer Synapse software cannot detect the keyboard, so my profile is not set on the keyboard. This is a very minor problem, but I felt the need to mention it because the problem #2 above means that if you're using a KVM, then I think you have to have a USB 2.0 port on your KVM to plug the keyboard into or else you're going to be stuck with the defaults. I have attached to my KVM my personal notebook with Synapse installed and my work notebook upon which I can't install Synapse. When I switch to my personal notebook, the Blackwidow gets set to my settings, and from then on it keeps those settings even if I switch back and forth between the two notebooks. So all is well, in other words. I have a TESmart KVM (2-port 4K). Now, I would like to say that as far as typing goes, this keyboard is awesome!. I think my old Blackwidow had Cherry MX Blue switches, and I think these Razer green switches are at least as good and possibly better. My typing is so much more accurate than it was using a membrane keyboard. I have no idea how I put up with not having a proper mechanical keyboard for so long.
