I wanted to purchase this lighted keyboard and mouse for awhile and I love it

I play competitively and I love this keyboard it's by far my favorite.

Small, Great, compact - mechanical gaming keyboard

This was a gift for my son and he's happy with it.

Works very well but very small keyboard. Great coloring and keys are smooth to use.

Keyboard is very cool and works wonderfully, however it is a little loud for my tastes

Great keyboard. Sounded great. Felt great. But after I impulse bought it, I realized that it didn't have the accountants keyboard which I need pretty badly.

Has no means of adjusting volume control from key board. Important when you are gaming and can't access desktop to adjust volume while in game.

I purchased this keyboard from my local Best Buy. I did some research online first, but this still didn't answer all my questions. I wanted a compact keyboard for gaming, it was between this and the Corsair K65. I was leaning towards the Corsair since I've owned a K70, and Strafe already. In looks, the Razer looks more compact, and appears to be a newer design. There are 2 Blackwidow Tournament Edition Chroma keyboards. The "X" model does not include a carrying case (even though it's shown on the Best Buy website). The keys are Razer's own green switches, which are the clicky ones. The top of the keyboard has a nice quality metal top plate with open keys much like the Corsair. The cable is non-removable, and can be routed out the back, or either side. According to Razer's website the model without the "X" in it's name, includes the carrying case, detachable cable, and choice of green or orange switches (clicky, or non clicky basically), and the price is $10 more. My overall opinion of this keyboard is very good. I'm not use to having clicky keys, so that may take some time to getting use to. I'm also use to having a palm rest, but that's a cheap, easy fix. I'm so far happy with my purchase, I would recommend this keyboard to a friend.

Many moons ago, I had the Lycosa keyboard. It was alright, for about a month and then it rapidly deteriorated with key failures. Opened it up and found burning. Not a good sight. A few Logi keyboards later, i decide to enter the mechanical market with Cherry MX Blue switches. Bought a CM tkl board and not long after. Logi TK board. Both are great, both had Cherry MX Blue switches. I ended up up settling on the TKL and gifted the Logi, which still sees heavy use. During all this time, i had heard horror stories about the Kailh switches and decided I would have to avoid Razer. More time passes and lo, it's my birthday and without there being much else that i want, i decide to look at keyboards again. I heard about the romer-g switches and begin searching local stores for a display model. Not until the third such store do i finally get to test the romer-g and am... not thrilled. I hoped i would like them because i was thinking i wanted another TK board with a most important personal requirement that the board NOT have macro keys on the left aide. While at said store, I peruse the other available keyboards and for reasons unbeknownst to me, I only find MX Browns, MX Reds, Romer-G and Razer's strange new Mecha-Membrane. SHOW ME THE CLICKY i say to a store knave! But these are all we stock says he! so i wander the store to the plebian keyboard section and find a lone display model of the BlackWidow X Chroma Tournament Edition. Hmm, these keys feel nice. This must be a trick. Theres one retail box left on the shelf, so i picked it up and wandered the store for 20 more minutes. Do i buy this strange new clicky board? Its not even Full TK. It does have lights though, and my previous TKL was unlit. I thought Kailh switches were terribad... back to the display model! Wtf, why do i like these? Screw it, and with keyboard and receipt in hand i walk out the door. Plug it in and like whoa, Chroma is sweet. Typety-typety deliciousness. Its so crisp, the travel feels more... stout than mx blues, but with that clicky goodness. Keypresses hit with a slightly deeper thud when bottoming out, but in just the right way. Bottoming out conveys POWER. Some more research later and i find that Razer dropped Kailh on theirbutts for this new contender, GREETECH! Razer BlackWidow X! I am converted. These Greetech Greens are the clicky switch sweet spot. Forgive the sloppy review, I am 15ft away from the keyboard, standing outside and already pining for it, so here i stand typing this review on my phone.
