Everything so far is great about this laptop, except for the wireless card. The wireless card driver that came installed on the laptop was not compatible with my wireless. I didn't find this out until after the initial setup of Windows 10, where updates were installed. This caused a critical error on the first boot and a BSOD. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A FIRST TIME BOOT ON AN EXPENSIVE SYSTEM.
Thankfully, this issue didn't brick the OS and after about 10 minutes of frustration and trying to access the internet only to find that my wireless signal was continuously dropping. I had an ethernet cable handy and connected directly to the NIC, which fixed the issue immediately. A quick google search found the driver issue and the correct version of drivers and allowed me to fix the issue myself.
I understand that the PC was newly out of the box and that everything needs to be installed/setup - no problem with that. But it would have been nice to know about the wireless issue before I ran the risk of screwing my entire OS with corrupted updates.
It IS a nice laptop, it has some very nice features and it's great performance wise but for something so basic to be so terrible is really crippling on a gaming PC.

I bought this laptop to use my HTC Vive with. It ran games fine for about 2 days then it would shut down randomly, games will freeze and then shut down, and now as I’m writing this, the computer randomly stopped charging with the charger plugged in.
All of this to happen a week into getting this $2000 laptop is extremely aggravating. Razer is garbage. Don’t get anything from them.

At first I thought that runing games such as PubG and Rocket League would make it too hot so I bought a cooling fan table. After using the laptop for a solid 8 hours of gaming I realized I did not need the extra fan at all. The cooling system on this Razer Blade Pro is a beast. This laptop has all of the hardware I was looking for, all packed together under a stunning matte finish 1080p display. The Metal used slightly attracts hand oil smudge marks but they are very easy to remove with the microfiber cloth that came in the box. A major problem Ive had in the past is the hinges on larger laptops being too weak, but so far they havent lost their edge since day 1. The overall build quality is solid and sleek, and I can run Pubg at 120 fps, and have about 20 complex 3-D AutoCad Drawings open at once without any studder or overheating.
This laptop is a beast and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about gaming or just flawless computing performance in general.

Slim sleek and was a great gaming machine for whenever I was on the go or traveled. I mainly used the computer to do some AutoCAD work but only ended up using it a few times. Sturdy build and beautiful finish.

I have to say upfront that I am an Apple guy. I always have been. I love somethings about Windows, but I am far more productive, and get far more work done when I am on a Mac. Having said that, I am also a gamer and we all know what the state of gaming is on a Mac. I decided to buy this laptop from Razer directly when they had a sale on them recently. I can say without question that this is the best built, best looking, best running PC I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot. I love the construction of the machine. I mean this thing is a tank. The trackpad is fantastic for a Windows laptop although still not quite up to par with a MacBook trackpad. The screen is 120HZ 1080P which is great for gaming, but not the best for productivity. I think it would have been perfect at 1440p 120hz. That would have been the sweet spot, especially with a GTX 1070 instead of the 1060. Having said that, this machine is perfect to me in terms of thermals. I can actually say that it is quiet to me. I never hear the fans, even when gaming they are not bad at all. This chassis with the GTX 1060 leads to thermals that are just fantastic. I mean really really good. I love the travel on the keyboard and it is a joy to type on. I love the dedicated volume rocker above the trackpad. As for ports, you have everything you need. USB 3.0 (in Razer Green ), ethernet, SD Card, HDMI and even a thunderbolt 3 port. Battery life is solid at 4-5 hours, which for a machine this large that is great. Geekbench multicore is solid at 15026, and probably the best thing about this system is that you can upgrade the RAM, HD, and SSD. Seriously. That is just fantastic when you think about it. Hello Apple. Are you listening?
All in all the only thing about this machine that bothers me is the fact that it is a finger print magnet. I mean words cannot describe accurately how quickly the laptop looks horrible because of finger prints. So, having said that, keep a large cleaning cloth with you and you won't have issue. That is what I do.
All in all it is a fantastic machine, they trackpad placement takes a little getting used to, but once you get used to it then it is actually better IMO.

The laptop performed wonderfully, until it didn't.
In LESS than 90 days, the laptop shut off in the middle of use and wouldn't turn back on. After speaking with Customer Support CHAT (they don't have a phone line), they surmised it was the motherboard and created an RMA for me to send it into their repair center. They do not replace broken laptops, only repair them.
Unfortunately, I had client files on the hard drive that I could not risk sending to them. I took my laptop to someone who had the appropriate adapter for the hard drive, and they accidentally stripped a couple of the cheap non-standard screws Razer uses. It took me about two weeks to finally find someone capable of extracting the screws. I ended up buying the adapter I needed myself. By the time that issue was resolved, the RMA expired.
I contacted them again, got a new RMA created, and shipped my laptop to them. They say 1-5 business days. They had my laptop for over 2 weeks. About halfway through, I contacted chat support to get an update; the first guy I spoke to said they were closed for the holiday and would return to work on a Friday. He also then alerted me that there was an issue with the serial number on the device not matching the one they had registered in their system. HE ASKED ME to SEND A PICTURE OF MY LAPTOP THAT THEY HAD IN THEIR POSSESSION! I was like, how am I supposed to do that?? He then switched gears. He could not tell me how this was even possible, only he kept telling me "not to worry" and that they would handle it.
A few days later, unsatisfied with the previous conversation, I reached out to support again. This time, the lady told me the repair center would be back from holiday on the following Monday, not Friday. I asked about the serial number, how it was possible etc, she had zero answers for me as well but said she thought it had something to do with the person who created the 2nd RMA for me. She again assured me they are taking care of it on their end and not to worry.
Last Friday, I received an email stating the motherboard had been replaced and my laptop had been shipped the day before. Expected delivery would be on Monday. I don't know how this is possible if the repair center team were still on holiday, but Ok. Not complaining about finally getting my laptop back - at this point it's been 2 months without it.
Today I received my laptop. Turns on and stuff. Yay. However in the bottom right had of my screen, there is a notice telling me I need to Activate Windows on my device. I follow the instructions to do so- I am alerted that my license key is invalid and I must purchase a new one. Nope.
So once again I reached out to Razer chat support. Here's how that conversation went:
Support: Please provide your product number and serial number.
Me: I do the thing.
Support: Follow these instructions to get your license key from the motherboard using CMD.
Me: I do the thing.
Support: Follow these instructions to activate your windows license key.
Me: I do the thing. I get the same error, that my license key is invalid. Now knowing that my windows license key is attached to the motherboard which they just replaced, I am steaming at the ears predicting support's next message.
Support: When your laptop was repaired and the motherboard was replaced, there may be a chance that our repair team did not inject the activation key on the motherboard. What we can do best is to send your laptop to our repair center so that they can inject the activation key. We sincerely apologize... at this point I stopped reading.
You can guess where the conversation went from there. Absolutely am I NOT paying to send my laptop back to them AGAIN after all of this for them to give me a license key. They have lost their minds. They have now escalated my case to a "higher department" who should be contacting me in 24-48 hours. Yeah. We'll see.
Regardless of what happens, you can bet I'm writing this 1-star review for them anywhere and everywhere I can, and warning my friends. Do not buy razer products, especially $2,000 ones.

This computer is no joke at all. Everything about it screams FAST! Literally no load times, graphics are amazing. I bought this for everyday use plus light gaming and I cant say enough about it. I would even go as far as calling it a mac pro killer

2 Years Old - DOESN'T ALWAYS POWER ON!

Hi. Prior to this laptop, I purchased a different brand gaming laptop, which I now use as a backup, because the Razer Blade DOESN'T ALWAYS POWER ON!
As soon as I received the Razer Blade Pro and opened the box, I was really disappointed in the quality of the casing/shell. For $1,800...disappointing. It just looked like a toy compared to other laptops I've owned.
The machine itself works great except after about 2 years of use, the power button sometimes doesn't work. I'm a graphic designer...I now have to keep on top of backing up my work to an external hard drive, and am also saving up for a replacement for this expensive...thing.
I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones. But it's also bad if I don't speak up when I REALLY should. When I'm shopping, I hate negative reviews because it makes it difficult for me to make a selection. There's always that one review that ruins a potential purchase. I get it.
But this one is worth calling out. Please do not purchase this laptop. I would also recommend doing an online search on problems other people are also having with powering this laptop on.
Thanks.
