This is my first gaming mouse that I've purchased so I can't really compare it to anything I've had before. All my prior mice were everyday wireless laptop ones from Logitech. I pretty much was dead set on this one since all the reviews online and a couple of friends of mine all say that you can't go wrong with the Razer DeathAdder Chroma. I use it on my MacBook Pro on the OS X and Windows side and haven't noticed much of a difference in functionality between the OS's. The only complaint I have is that I noticed sometimes the spectrum lighting sequence doesn't always work sometimes on the scroll wheel. For some reason it will turn off from time to time... I think it just has something to do with a small program glitch when I change over to the Windows side sometimes. Till now though I've just kept all the lights on a solid red color and haven't had any issues since then. Other than that, highly recommend the mouse if you use architecture programs like AutoCAD and Revit like I do. The laser is extremely precise on all surfaces!

this is my first razer mouse and it rocks i have always used a logitech gaming mouse the razer blows it away.

Great for RTS, MMO. DPS is excellent for games like Starcraft, Final Fantasy XIV etc. The colors are cool too.

Only game where i can notice the performance of the mouse from others is CS GO, and it works like a charm.
