I had an Alienware gaming mouse to match my Alienware keyboard and PC but the side buttons were in a place that I kept accidently contacting during use. This Razor mouse is exceptional in performance, blends in well with the Alienware lighting effects and the buttons are properly placed. For a gaming mouse, I highly recommend this Razor DeathAdder Elite..
Setup is easy and the software allows finetuning and color lighting adjustments to suit. Great value. Feels substantial and well made.

This the first time I have used a gaming mouse. I do like the feel of the mouse and it comes with a nice long cord. I am still getting use to it, but so far I am glad I got this one. The mouse was on sale for an excellent price. I thought about a cordless mouse, but the price was over double so I thought that I would give this mouse a try first. I am glad I did. I wasn't sure about the cord getting in the way, but I have not had any trouble with it.

I like it, but it reminded me that we competitive gamers have to take mouse size and shape and our grip style into very serious consideration before purchase. I'm 5'8" with average sized hands and the mouse is too large for me to be totally accurate and optimally comfortable. I bought a Zowie FK1 and it's much more manageable and comfortable to me, though in retrospect perhaps I should have gotten the smaller FK2.
Personal experience aside, it has a quality build, feels nice, grips well, and the sensor is the best in the market at the moment, as it is a Razer-modified version of the nearly flawless PMW3366. The only flaw that could possibly affect some is that, in order to modify DPI and other settings, you have to be connected to the internet and have the software program open.
Do some research and be sure you'll have some wiggle room if you use a claw grip like me, otherwise you as well may prefer a smaller mouse.

This is really the BEST mouse for clawgamer.
It has large button on the size for easy use.
Been using it for year. Razer make really great mouse but the only downside of their product is they tend to wear off every year.

I am not a PC gamer, but I use this mouse along with Razer Blackwidow keyboard for my work. Since my job involves lot of typing, I prefer to enjoy it at it. So I go the mechanical route to get the feel of it. This mouse provides me excellent experience.
There are buttons to change the DPI. But the other buttons need software to be running to remember their configurations (which is not available in MacOS & Ubuntu) One more issue is with the light itself. You cannot turn it off without software running. I use KVM switch to move across OS'es which confuses the mouse.
I am knocking off one star because there is no onboard memory to remember configurations.

I've used this mouse for a month now, and I think this might be a better mouse for others. It's pretty large, so while I kind of like how it feels in my hand, but I think it feels heavy. The positioning of the mouse buttons 4 and 5 is to me the biggest drawback, because I feel they're too far up the side. It makes it hard to press button 5, which is utilized quite a bit in games like Doom and Modern Warfare. Also, I notice my hand tends to get pretty warm holding it. There's been nothing wrong with the responsiveness of it, so I will give it that. This might be a good mouse for you, if you have pretty long digits, but I am probably going to be in the market for a new mouse here soon.

This mouse has the perfect shape for my rather large hand. All of the buttons are easily accessible and the Chroma upgrade is awesome. After owning the 3G version of this and upgrading to this mouse, I'm very happy.

Love the sensor reliability most of all. the Shape is great, but not as good as my FinalMouse. I cannot take anything away from the Deathadder though because it's fantastic overall. I've been using Razer for years
