Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the high-quality build, vibrant RGB backlighting, and comfortable wrist rest of the Huntsman Elite keyboard. Many appreciate the responsive switches and quick response time, making it ideal for gaming. However, some find the price to be high and the software could be improved. The keyboard's use of two USB ports is also a point of concern for some users.

Loud clicks
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality but the clicking is very loud. Not great when you have a gamer that stays up late

It sure looked pretty, in lights, at Best Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was not the same touch as I found in the store keys too weak to touch and slippery not what I wanted It looked great in the store! Maybe for gamers it is IT I am wondering why keyboards are basically the same size for all hand sizes. Returned. Thank you for beautiful Packaging.

I purchased this keyboard for my new IMAC, it will physically connect via the usb, but the software to change the rgb colors will not work with IOS

Not worth the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t get me wrong this keyboard is nice an all and feels great , but for me , there is no difference between this and my HyperX - Alloy Core , big price difference, to me It feels like I’m paying $120 more for the wrist rest..

Don't Buy If You Use Shift+Letter/F-key
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps usable for only gaming, but if you use for general computer use and use the shift function to access alternate symbols, at night those alternate symbols and letters ARE NOT LIT--meaning on this plank, you also have to have a light on to see what you are typing. That is such a stupid design, it makes me wonder if anybody asked regular people about the design before they decided this board could be used ONLY for gaming. Also, I have found the keystrokes are not as easy to use in some of my games that allow glitch key strokes--they are VERY hard to manage. My old Corsair keyboard presented me no such problems as this Razer wonder.

Shocking
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've generally been a fan of Razer products, but this thing shocked me almost every time I would sit down to use it. I mean that literally. I would get a shock when touching the wrist rest, like a spark of static electricity. The lights would go out on the keyboard for a second then come back on. I found numerous discussions about this issue online, so I returned it. The style and finish of the keyboard is excellent otherwise, but I won't be taking a chance on another board like this with the lighted wrist rest.

Best premium keyboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is so nice and clicky. It has Razer's very own opto-mechanical switches that feel and sound nice. The multimedia buttons are convenient for Spotify and other programs that work with these buttons, while they are in the background. I now can't live without the wrist rest that comes with this keyboard. It stays on the keyboard with magnets and a plugin that turns it on for RGB lighting, which is very nice. Not to mention the fact that it is so plush and smooth and stays cool very easily so it doesn't get uncomfortable after half an hour of use. It uses Doubleshot keycaps are believe it or not, not as expensive as you would think with Razer. And to top it off, the build on both the keyboard and wrist rest is great with the top of the keyboard and wrist rest being aluminum, moving down to the RGB lighting on the side, then finally reaching the bottom which is made of plastic which isn't so bad because 99% of the time you don't see it. And don't get me wrong, this keyboard is pricey and if you are on a budget and just need a keyboard that will for your needs, there are some other great keyboards put there for a better price, but, as my summary states, it's one of the best premium gaming keyboards for sure.

Some flaws, but overall a solid contender
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace a Unicomp Model M, which surprisingly died after only a few years of use. I was going to order another Model M, but fate intervened, because Unicomp was out of stock. PROS: 1. The optomechanical keys have a nice feel - good clicky sound, not nearly as heavy to use or fatiguing compared to MX Blues. This is also the only keyboard with optomechanicals outside of the Bloody keyboards. 2. Media keys are very useful, especially the instant mute switch and the volume jog dial. 3. Lack of USB pass-through is not a problem for me, since I just use the USB pass-through on my monitors. 4. Razer Chroma is definitely the most customizable and powerful RGB software out there - better than Logitech and Corsair, though the learning curve is steeper. 5. There is uber-1337 RGB lighting everywhere - even on the wrist rest - which, by the way, was very comfortable. The only rest I've used that's more comfortable is the one included with the Logitech G513. 6. The caps lock/num lock/scroll lock indicators are moved underneath DEL/END/PGDOWN, which is a much better use of space given the compact, floating-key style layout of the Huntsman, which is very trendy now. 7. The stabilizer bars make each switch extremely sturdy with little to no wobble, especially compared to the original Cherry MX switches. CONS: 1. The secondary keys are still not lit - e.g., the !@# on the number row. Though on the numpad, the secondaries are lit. This is a consequence of the "high-LED" construction of the optomechanical switch. I'm still waiting for a manufacturer to incorporate a light-pipe solution to ensure even lighting. 2. The keycaps are ABS, and are non-standard size on the bottom row. It'll be quite a chore to try and replace these with PBTs. 3. The IBM buckling spring is still the best feeling switch in my opinion - nothing can ever match it. 4. Price is very high - for the same money you could get a top of the line Ducky, Vortex, GMMK, Massdrop et. al that has PBTs. 5. Only offered with a clicky switch. If you want a tactile or linear switch you have to wait for Razer to make those variants available, or go with a Bloody. Overall, this is still a great keyboard. If the price dropped to $150, it would be 5-stars, no doubt. THIS REVIEW PROUDLY TYPED ON A HUNTSMAN ELITE

didn't last 6 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 6 months of owning this keyboard there are already 4 keys that don't work. The "X" key sticks and when i contacted Razer support they told me to download the latest firmware update and it would solve my problem but it did not. So now I'm stuck with a $215 paper weight, went back and bought the Blackwidow Elite and haven't had any issues yet.

volume knob broke twice
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Volume knob broke and some lights stopped working, razer replaced it. This process took like 2 months and then the knob broke again. The keyboard also doesn't do what you want with out the software install and running in the background. Overall okay keyboard but not for the price of the thing.

Blew my KVM Keyboard Port
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged this brand new keyboard into the designated port for keyboards on my KVM. My daily driver locked up while trying to install the software. After rebooting it neither the keyboard or mouse port work on my KVM. I paid $150 for the privilage of buying a new KVM.
