Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the product's premium build quality, flawless responsiveness, and outstanding key feel. They also appreciate the extensive customization options, attractive RGB lighting, and consistent switch performance, which contribute to a near-instantaneous response time. However, some customers find the wrist rest to be uncomfortable and stiff. Additionally, the noise level of the keys is noted as being a little loud.

A Super Standout Keyboard by Razer

Just another keyboard? Not so fast. They are not all created equal. The Huntsman V3 Pro is a standout keyboard in almost every way. Feature after feature, it’s a winner. To begin, the feel of a keyboard is subjective and each user has their own experience. I can share that the three people in my house that used this keyboard all loved it. We all used it from basic keyboarding to hardcore gaming and we all loved it. The keys feel great and respond perfectly. They just feel right. The quality and construction of the keyboard is excellent. Clearly top of the line materials were used and I’d expect this keyboard to last for many years. It is rugged and super durable. The top plate is made of aluminum and feels great. The keys are easily visible and the print on the keys is the perfect size. The available colors projected by the keyboard are outstanding. The colors are clear and bright. Both my boys loved the rapid trigger mode for their hardcore gaming. They both said they never missed a beat. Neither did I. The adjustable height keys make this truly a full customizable keyboard. The magnetic wrist support makes this the perfect keyboard. Overall, I could not ask for more. From basic keyboarding to hardcore gaming, this keyboard has it covered. It does it all and it does it at a super high level. Highly recommended!!!!

Optical switches are great, keys are tall

First of all, the optical switches are amazing. I’ve generally always used mechanical for the click feedback but this has me sold on the new wave of optical linear switches. The most surprising thing about this keyboard was the keycap height. I have about 10 keyboards at the house and this keyboard has the deepest well when the key was depressed. Now it means that you get very definitive feedback when typing but I definitely felt I had to lift my finger out of each key to move to the next as otherwise my fingers would drag against the surrounding key edges. This makes it really clear when typing fast but feels like you have to lift your fingers in an exaggerated motion. Overall though it’s a great keyboard, great actuation and standard high quality setup through Razer with various color options and customizations. Wrist rest is comfortable and honestly you can probably replace these with shorter keycaps if you need a more “normal” key press feeling. The responsiveness is super high and playing in shooter games, you can tell you’re getting fast interactions overall.

    Great keyboard, stiff keys

Just like the previous iteration, the keys are very stiff. I understand it's because of the analog style, but for my old hands, they cramp over time and I have a tendency to bottom out the keys. The travel is 4.5mm, so it's a lot of work. Otherwise, the keyboard is practically flawless in terms of build quality, responsiveness and deadzone. You can actually adjust the deadzone of the keys, making them as sensitive as you want. The stiff keys are the only reason I give it a 4 star rating.

This RGB keyboard looks great and performs even better. The lighting is bright and customizable, the keys feel responsive, and typing is comfortable for long sessions. Build quality feels solid, and it works perfectly for both gaming and everyday use. Excellent value for the price overall.

    Solid Keyboard, Touchy Software

This keyboard is high quality and offers many customizable options. The only reason I give this product 4 stars and not 5 is because you need to download Razer's gaming software to use the features associated with this keyboard. The software is not well optimized for Steam and I have had numerous issues regarding this. Steam and EA both recognize this keyboard as a controller, which often causes problems with playing games requiring a mouse. The only way around this is to disable the additional buttons on the keyboard.

I really like the feel of the keys. The Razer software is a bit intrusive (I really don't care what my maximum framerate was when I close a game), but manageable. With the optical keys, you can customize how sensitive you want them to be. At the most sensitive, just resting your figures on the keys can cause key presses. Controlling the sensitivity is quick and painless, but you have to leave the default keyboard profile to do so. I'm giving the keyboard a 4/5 because in the default profile, sometimes keys don't stay pressed when held down. Say I am holding down the SHIFT key (to sneak), sometimes I won't continuously sneak if my finger isn't precisely in the middle of the key. You can see this by the LED indicators showing how far the key is pressed: The last couple of LEDs will flicker meaning the key thinks you are lifting and pressing. I solved that by changing the keyboard profile off default then setting the sensitivity. Works great, but I shouldn't have to do that.

I’ve tried many boards at Best Buy and this is the best keyboard compared to Logitech, Corsair, Steelers etc the switches are SO consistent and tight, and never not actuate. The board looks amazing and is extremely fast. While expensive I think the optical switches alone are worth it

Keeps presses feel smooth and sound good. Takes a little getting use to coming from the black widow series but hopefully these don’t have as many double key press issues like the black widows.

I loved using this for my competitive matches with cs2. It was an absolute game changer, with the optical switches, being able to change the actuation points of the key presses and all really helped me out a lot, not only that the 8khz polling rate IS INSANE. Thing I disliked tho, there is an automatic analog mode for games like gta, rocket league, and so on. I literally couldn’t figure out why my controllers didn’t work on those games and it was because of that feature with this keyboard. I mean don’t get me wrong it’s cool the fact a keyboard can even interact as a controller, but no one I know would find that appealing. Took me a while but I figured it out, but it was super annoying.

Amazing Keyboard / Terrible coil whine

This keyboard is pretty amazing, and the key caps, keystrokes, are pretty fantastic. However, there is an insane coil whine that is absolutely attributed to the LED functions on the RGB. I had my first keyboard for about 40 days before the wine became even worse. I just got a new keyboard replacement and the wine is lower so I'm interested to see if it's going to continue long-term. Regardless, this should absolutely not be a problem on a $250 keyboard

I think most people agree that Razer hardware is good, but Synapse is... something. I am coming from a Corsair keyboard with Optical keys with a fixed activation of 1mm. I appreciate this keyboard's adjustable actuation point and the ability to tie it to a profile or even game. I am having an issue with Synapse not being able to save my custom profile to the keyboard's built-in memory. I hope it is just a software bug.
