First off they sound great. Now for the bad: Very cheaply made. The ear cups are round and small. (You can get oval online for $20) that is a joke. The software is good when it works, but you will spend more time fixing the software then gaming. The ear cups are shallow and hit your ear. To much money for as much plastic as they use.

I'm going to start by saying these are some great headphones. Not just gaming headphones, but headphones. They are some of the lightest headphones I've ever owned. And they sound great. And I love, love, love, the pull out microphone. It is so nice to be able to hide the microphone when not in use. The microphone picks up my voice well, I've actually gotten some compliments from friends that they can hear me better (when compared to my Turtle Beach headset). And the braided cable screams of quality. My biggest gripe is that they aren't more versatile (i.e. wish it had 3.5 audio jack). These are USB only, and while they work with PS4 (and well!) they don't work with Xbox 360, One or PS3. I own all three and now have three different headsets. I'm still waiting for my one headphone to rule them all. What I don't like is the size of these headphones. While they're light, they are rather bulky and you can't fold them up. They also don't come with a carry case which would have been nice. I also don't like that you need to run a separate program (Razer Synapse) to take advantage of the surround sound. I'm no computer engineer, but I'm confident it's because the program processes the surround sound. All that needs to be said is that these are great sounding headphones and simple to use. All you have to do is plug in the USB and you're ready to go (except you'll need Synapse to enjoy surround sound). the bass is tight and the clarity is terrific. When playing Bioshock: Infinite I could hear all around me. And did I mention they're comfortable? You feel like you're not wearing any headphones after a while. Other headphones either get too heavy or the headband is too tight and leads to headaches. These are great for gaming, listening to music or watching movies. But just know that you'll need a PC (or PS4) which almost rules them out for travel (which is a shame) but I imagine that doesn't really matter because if you're looking at this review and thinking about buying this headset, you are going to be using them for PC gaming almost exclusively.

Very good gaming headphones at a reasonable price. Not too expensive but good quality sound.

i absoulutly love this head set, very comfy to wear for a long period of time. being able to retract the mic is a really nice feature, keeps the head set very sleek and clean looking. the RAZER logo on the headset does not light up very bright which is a bit of a bummer. do not let that detour you from buying this headset if you have been looking to buy this specific headset. the surround sound is GREAT!

Works pretty well, microphone sits a little wobbly, but aside from that, good sound quality and good microphone quality.

Seemed like a great pair of headphones at first. The sound was awesome and they were comfortable.... and then I used the microphone. The quality was extremely poor, at least for my purposes (recording audio for use in presentations). I ended up returning the merchandise. Maybe the product will suffice for gaming, but not much more. But as for me, I needed a multi-functional and multi-purpose product.

I use these for games on my computer and PS4, and they work & sound great!

I was surprised by how good this headset sounds compared to my Astro a40 and a50s.
