Truthfully only bought this headset because it was on sale and partially due to having a Razer mouse (gotta be loyal to the branding, man). Crisp audio, especially when using the razersynapse application for audio enhancement via 7.1 Dolby virtual surround. 3.5mm jack which connects to split audio/mic meaning you can take them on the road if you like over ear headphones, especially with the retractable mic. Definitely a good buy, recommend 110%.

Great affordable does have a bit of a muffled sound doesn't have an easy mute or volume switch great for basic gamers or those things are important for you

Great audio, 3D and surround sound very effective. Long term wear/gaming can cause discomfort around the ears.

I've used other headsets before, and they tend to break in one way or another. Usually pretty quickly. We had been needing to pick up an extra headset so my boyfriend and I could play online games with our friends at the same time. This one has been fantastic for me. I usually love Razer products, and this is no exception. The only issue I have is that if I wear it for long periods of time, it starts to bother my ears. That may be a personal glitch though.

Bought it as a gift for my brother who's old gaming headset started to cut out. We did have problems with the first one we purchased but we exchanged it with no problem. The replacement has worked well up to this point. I'd give it a better rating for quality but as stated above the first one we bought was cutting out right out of the box. New 1 is great though.

Let me just preface this review by saying that I purchased the first Razer around-the-ear headset that came out a number of years and still have it in working order today. LOVED IT. That being said, the new design sits on your ears, and although the padding is decent, it does give you ear fatigue over time. The audio also, isn't as crisp or clear as I would like. I ended up returning this headset and moved on to another brand.

My son loves these headphones for his computer and he can use them with other items as well. He said they work great and is very happy with them.

I like the sounds quality of it, I would advise you, personally, though, to test it out in the store if you can to see if you'd enjoy it before you make a purchasing decision. Plus, there could be better headphones in store that you didn't see before. There's some really really nice surround sound head phones out there, they were just out of my price range.

I don't remember if there were any reviews but I bought this head phone because I had another Razer headphone and loved it. Good clear sound, great isolation from room noise, reasonable weight. Bonus - love that wild green (easy to locate) and it has an in-line volume control. I listen to many types - Celtic pipers, 40's pop & country, classical, a capella - and sound is good for all.

The Razer Kraken is a good headset for a beginner to hardcore gamers. The sound quality is pretty good. While it's not wireless, the cord is decently long, and can be disconnected to convert into just headphones. The microphone feels a little flimsy, but it tucks away nicely into the headset when not in use (or, again, if you want just headphone features.)

All in all the Kraken headset is worth every penny, the sound quality is amazing as well as the sound cancelation of background sound around you. The mic picks up your voice well and it can be move around so you aren't constantly breathing into it. My only complaint is it is a bit tight on the ears and presses against them after long sessions which can cause some discomfort, but not enough to make me regret my purchase.
