My son and I enjoy using the Kraken Pro. I use on the PS4 and he primarily uses them for his PC games. They are extremely comfortable and adjustable as they can be uses by an adult and a 9 year old. The Kraken provides good sound quality and the mic also works very well. For the price this is a great headset, I would highly recommend them.

These are actually my second pair after I finally broke my last pair. I have both the USB and 3.5mm versions and I absolutely love them both! Both are extremely lightweight, fit comfortably over the ears (even with glasses) and as an added bonus to its construction it's SOLID and straight to the point. It's not overdoing it with the physical design and because of that, you don't have to worry about getting your hair stuck in little nooks and crannies, which is a HUGE plus for those of us with a lot of hair. As far as sound quality goes, I'd honestly rock a pair of these over a pair of Bose or Beats. Sorry headphone companies but it's true! The customization is brilliant and the base audio settings really allow you to get into the game via PC and properly hear your party members on the console. Probably the only downside is if you're using this as your main audio setup, BEWARE of games like Amnesia, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc..... It will mess you up! You will hear EVERYTHING! Those oh so silent whispers you couldn't hear before will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on edge, goosebumps will cover your entire body and you thought jump scares were bad before? Ladies and gentlemen, this headset will make buying Depends apart of your monthly routine. Don't believe me? Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Razer is well known for their great products and the Razer Kraken Pro v2 did not disappoint. From the well thought out packaging to the seamlessly retractable mike to the twist and remove/replaceable ear pieces. The headset is very well made and very durable and rugged. I compared to a rival headset and the Razer won hands down. The headset comes with both single 3 band prong and the adapter to connect it to a pc with dual headphone/microphone jacks. It also has a mute button/volume control on the cord. The sound bleeding was very minimal when testing with the help of my teen daughter. She was super excited to try it out also and was well versed on Razer from her You Tube gaming heroes. The headset super comfortable with generous cushioning throughout.. The only improvement I would suggest is a small one. The manual could be a little clearer on the removal of the ear pieces. I found a video online that help me figure it out. Overall a superior product. Well worth 5 stars.

Sound quality at higher volume was poor, with crackling of the headset speakers, not as good as other headsets we have used. We actually returned this for a refund right away.

Have had a few of these. They look good, not the best sound. Then they break where the cord goes into the headset. I have learned to always buy the extra protection plan.

I am used to using Bluetooth headsets-- easier to use but a lot of those are heavy and you have to worry about charging them. This one, it is very light and comfortable after a good 3 to 4 hours. It did sort of hurt my ears physically after wearing it for a while-- but that's the same for any full-on headset you will use (or maybe I have not encountered one that will lasts me for a full day). Sound is clear and pretty balanced-- I use it for my PS4 and it keeps me engaged in the game. The mouthpiece is retractable-- keeps it out of your face when not in need. But overall, if you just want to game with it, or skype with your mommy without other people hearing how she reminds you to eat right, this does the job! I recommend.

Up front… I am not a gamer. I use the Kraken Pro V2 as a communications headset and for speech recognition. The microphone is quite good in both applications. The ear pads are comfortable, but get hot after a few minutes of wearing. The headphones, while well-built and comfortable, are very bass-forward with almost no treble. This makes voices and music muddy sounding. With the open-back design, there is no sound isolation. This is a good thing if you want to hear the world around you, but it means that you might need to turn the volume up to immerse yourself in whatever you are listening to. There is significant crossover between channels. If there is also a delay applied to the opposite channel, this might provide a more realistic binaural experience when listening to 2-channel stereo. However, this same feature would decrease the clarity of 1-channel (i.e. mono) input, like the microphone used on this and many other communication and gaming headsets. The headset cable is 4 feet long, kink-free, and covered in a braided fabric. There is an inline volume control and a mute switch for the microphone. It is terminated with a 3.5mm TRRS connector that allows stereo listening and mono microphone input. The included splitter cable gives you the option to plug into separate speaker and microphone jacks. These jacks must be less than 6-inches apart or the cable will not connect to both. The extension/splitter cable is also waaaaaay too long (6 feet). Razer would have done better to supply a longer primary cable and a shorter splitter cable.

Overall, these are a great set of headphones. The sound quality is really good for units at this price point and the extra long cable gives plenty of room to move around when tethered to a computer. The bright green can almost light up the room, but that doesn't take away from fit and function. They are very comfortable and capable of sustaining many hours of wear and gameplay. I haven't gotten much of a chance to test the microphone, but initial thoughts are that it is sufficient. A friend and coworker are considering picking up a pair based on my suggestion and overall feedback.

The first thing you notice when you open the box... "Man, these headset is GREEN!" You will never lose this headset as bright as it is. Now, picking up the headset, you absolutely notice how light they are in your hand. Putting them on my head, you realize how they cup around your ears and keeps the sound contained inside. I plugged the headset into my PS4 audio port and the sound quality is great. The first game I played was Madden 17 and I can hear every background noise possible. These speakers are a MUST HAVE for any serious gamer.

These headphones work just fine on my Galaxy s7 and my PS4. They have their own volume control which is nice. The headphones can get pretty loud but what is nice is that very little sound if any escapes when turned up full. The highs, mids, and lows are about even so don't expect Dr. Dre bass. The microphone slides in and out easily enough and you can be heard over a phone conversation of PS4. The ear cushions are soft and can be worn for however long you like without to mich discomfort.

The over the ear cup design of the cusion is very comfortable. I had them on for a 5 hour gaming session and there was no discomfort. There are wire options for PC or console gaming which is handy if you are not trying to have a lot of headphones around the house. The microphone is flexible and retractable. For the price it is a very good and durable set of wired headphones.

Gaming headsets have become a staple of the gaming world now, not just for online chat, but to experience quality sound without disturbing those around you. Keeping these purposes in mind, I have to say this headset does a decent job of accomplishing said goals. The headset is very lightweight, but well built. It is hands down one of the most well constructed stereo headsets I have used. The speaker hinges and band adjusters are solid with sturdy, but smooth feel during operation, and the cord is made using the latest tangle free wrapping. The microphone neatly retracts into the left earpiece and is very flexible and convenient. There is also a y cable included with the set, for stereo connection as necessary. Overall, I like the construction of the set - especially at the price point. I don't understand why some call this expensive. The price is very reasonable considering the quality, in my opinion. Once plugged in, the Pro v2 delivered pretty good sound. The quality was very good for a stereo set. In comparison to other stereo sets, I would say this has sound clarity on par with some of the best gaming cans out there. While the quality is good, the sound volume is a bit lacking for my tastes. I have an Xbox One and Switch currently, and the volume just falls a bit short. I don't see these as noise cancellers. You can enjoy your content, but you can also hear those around you, unless you crank the volume all the way up. I don't know if this is a bad thing, per se, but I believe a stronger, amplified volume will bring out the rich sound most expect. Overall, a good headset. I think it could have more punch in the volume department, but it does deliver a quality sound. The build quality and sound quality make this the best option in the stereo headset market, as the competition doesn't measure up in those 2 departments - not at the is price point.

This is the first headset iv'e worn that doesn't hurt my head after an hour. The sound detail is fantastic and the headset easily captures the little things in game such as birds chirping, footsteps, and the like. The set has very nice build quality, and the wires are covered in a string like material that seems near indestructible. The headset also has a retractable mic which I love for when Im just playing quietly and not online.

I was really looking forward to this headset based off of reviews and the following Razer has in the gaming community, but was sadly letdown by the overall quality of the headset. The pros are simply the lightness of the headset and a decent surround sound system (the level of surround sound is average for headsets in this price range). The cons simply outweigh the pros here with an extremely tight fit regardless of band adjustment, mic sensitivity is subpar, inline controls are rather plain for this price range, wiring is not as sturdy as expected, overall sound quality is lacking for a headset in this price range. It is better than nothing but at this price range the competing headsets from Corsair offer more for your money. Pros: - Lightweight - Surround sound is average for headsets in this price range Cons: - Extremely tight fit causing pressure points (Allowing less than 30 minutes of wear time no matter how it was adjusted due to band tension) - Mic sensitivity is lower than average. - Inline controls are flimsy and lacking for a headset in this price range - Wiring is less than solid; I suspect this will be the place of failure with constant use. - Sound quality is subpar for a headset in this price range.

Got the headphones in a green color (my favorite color) and liked that it came with both a single line (audio and mic) connection for any device that will use this. It also came with a split cable to separate the audio and mic for my computer use. Nice fit and not heavy at all, which is good because they are a little larger than I am use to. It came with rounded ear cups (oval available for $15 on website) and they were very comfortable and easy to adjust to my preferred wearing style. Now the nitty gritty. sound is average with it being somewhat on bass heavy. This means that the mids are not always present in the mix. highs are good without being hurtful and bass is useful of you game with war like sounds (call of duty, etc). however on a talking standpoint it will not be 100% useful for gaming instructions. Normal stereo plug type of interface. This means that unless you run the app from Razer on your laptop or computer you will not get the simulated surround sound that most other headsets have, due to them having usb soundcard interfaces included in the box. So out of the box you will get whatever sound is produced by your system sound card in strictly stereo sound. Cable length is great. the first single connection seems to be quite long, but when added to split connector you will have room to move without being hindered. I had to wrap mine up to keep from rolling over it with my chair. Basic fit is good and very comfortable, however with long playing times it will give a warm sealed fit on your ears. So if you get hot easy just make sure to vent yourself randomly to keep the fun going. I used to slide one earcuff off and use one for those times but these do not rotate back and forth so I am not able to do this with these headphones. Also since the last statement is a issue the headphones feel a little less sealed on the backside with this restriction. Build is great and they do not look or feel like they will have issues anytime soon. very solid and robust. I do not see having to replace these with normal use (maybe drop or two, taking off and on, or adjusting height). Microphone is good but not great. it does not come through with "stereo" and will be flat sounding when used. very clear and extremely sensitive so you will need to adjust accordingly. Also the mic is able to be pushed back into the headset to hide out of the way when not in use. I have to mute the mic since with it on I can hear myself breathing. but at least I don't have to yell to be hear right? All in all I would prefer a 7.1 surround integrated in the system like my other brand, but I did always like the Razer headphones (I have quite a few for other uses) and never had issues with fit, build, comfort or audio clarity. So I would buy these for family and friends if they are in need of gaming headphones that will last for may years.

Good sound and decent "getaway" sound isolation

First, I am not a hardcore gamer. I'm just a casual guy who games sometimes with my kids. But I constantly work with audio as part of my job and wanted to upgrade from using earbuds and an older headset, both of which I have been using for several years. The fit: The first couple days of wearing them, parts of my ears would start hurting just an hour or 2 later and that surprised me. I fiddled with the fit and various positions and finally found my "sweet spot". Once I did that I can wear them for hours at a time and develop only minimal discomfort so take some time to get used to them. The design: I like the design overall, but one part of it I found myself struggling against was the inline volume control. I have used and owned many headsets with inline volume controls but never do I recall inline controls so susceptible to accidental volume changes. With these, this easily happens several times a day and seems to mostly occur when I do things with my left arm, which is nearest where the inline controls are. The inline control, in my case, happens to be placed such that my left arm frequently brushes it while doing completely mundane and natural things -- like lifting my arm to take a drink or even reaching across to tap a key on the right-ish side of my keyboard (F12, backspace, etc.) while keeping my right hand on the mouse -- and way more often than once incidentally caused the volume dial to turn up or down. It's not a major problem, but I'm a big believer in inline controls and have never had this issue with any other headset so it’s worth mentioning. The mic: The retractable mic is brilliant and picks up my voice decently even if I forget and leave it retracted, but when I pull it out like I should then the sound is noticeably crisp and directional as it should be, doing a respectable job keeping out background sounds around me. Then, when the gaming is done and it's time to kick back with just some music, the mic pushes right back in and out of the way. Brilliant. The sound: I wouldn't rate the sound as awesome but it is good, solid, and immersing. The drivers provide powerful thuds, thumps, and concussion on the low end and are decent all-around in mids to highs. The large ear cups are pretty good at creating some “getaway” isolation from ambient sounds as well, but not so much that you are completely out of touch with what’s going on around you. Whether that’s a pro or a con is really a matter of taste. Personally, I found it just right as I could get easily lost in the audio of whatever game or music I was playing even when in the living room surrounded by people talking and watching TV, but I could still hear if someone actually called my name at more than a talking volume.

I've been looking for a decent headset for a while without breaking the bank. This works but it's lacking in depth, it's kinda harsh sounding. You do get some good separation to hear people coming from different directions. The ear cups are really big, it's not a small headset by any means so if you're looking for something a little more compact look elsewhere. It's an ok headset, would I recommend it to a friend? Probably not.

This is the second Kraken headset we have purchased. The Kraken Pro v2 is a definite upgrade from their previous version. The device has better-quality components and parts. The quality of sound is very good. I purchased this for my son but I was able to use it for a few hours of online gaming with him. After he has used the headset for a few days, he believes its the best headset he's ever had. We recommend this headset for it's quality and value.
