have had this headset in the past when it was first came out but now that it has been upgraded significantly due to the wiring cord and its durability old one did have issues on the wiring when it first came out, would tangle up sewed threaded used the regular mic port's before now it has the USB with no threading to the cord This is great! Looks like razer realized this now as an issue with the product I am glad I got another one It is amazing just make sure when you use this product on the razer synapse that you change the mic sensitivity or else it will keep cutting you down auto setting's to low I put mine at 75% from 50% other then that I Loving the newness to it :D

I purchased this item thinking it was same if not better than the one I originally had. The Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma Sound USB Gaming Headset. The product is adequate, it does its job but I would recommend Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma Sound USB Gaming Headset - 7.1 Surround Sound with Retractable Digital Microphone and Chroma Lighting. The price is very close if you catch it on sell.

I bought these to replace another pair and while they sounded ok, they were entirely too tight on my ears. I bought a Corsair Cordless that fits well and sounds good.

This is an excellent headset, it has simulated surround sound which makes for great gaming on my computer and my playstation. They produce excellent quality sound and can be turned up to be extremely loud. So far the only issues that I have found are the microphone and the cable. The cable is too short (approximately 6feet) and the microphone doesn't have a mute capability. Other than that the quality is excellent and they are very comfortable once broken in.

Bought these for my son while he's gaming. He said they are comfortable with good audio. He's happy with them.

Wasn't certain about this headset, but after using for a while I am a fan. Sounds great and comfortable to wear. I am very happy with this product and would recommend.

Having a Razer Naga mouse, Razer DeathStalker Keyboard & now Razer Kraken headphone & Mouse all utilized by one single program makes things alot easier! I have been using this for like a month now and cannot be happier, the only thing i did not like is the green connection cord!

My son loves this headset. It was not very expensive as well.

Has a nice feel and idea for beginner, however not for you high end user. good for standard game but can provide full in game experiences.

Got this headset free when I bought the razer keyboard, so I can't complain TOO much, but for anyone considering dropping $60 on this headset, I would say reconsider. Other brands (turtle beach, logitech, corsair, etc) sell comparable if not better headsets for a lesser cost. Make no mistake about it, this is a standard, stereo headset/mic combo. Nothing more. Yes, the earpieces light up. Thats cool. But not $60 cool. The software you can download for it helps a little, allowing you to customize sound, do virtual 7.1, etc. But thats all software, not hardware. If youre planning on spending this kind of money, then I would recommend fronting the extra $20-$30 and picking up a beefier headset, one with amplifying hardware included in the headset. The box also reads "compatible with Playstation 4." Technically, yes, it is. But because there is no amplifying hardware built into the headset, the volume on the headset is very low when using it for a playstation. And depending on your room setup, you will probably have to purchase a USB extension cable as the cord is only 6ft long. Just a forewarning for anyone looking to get a "2 for 1 deal" with this headset.
