Good sounding headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying these are good headphones they are not great and I think at this price point they is a lot of competition and I would have liked to have seen a bit more out of it. Now let me start with the positives these sound great for games and also for movies, they are a bit too bass heavy for music but are useable. The haptic feedback is a neat feature and it helps add some oomph to explosions but only when you set it at low higher than that it becomes very distracting and just feels like your headband is shaking. A couple of negatives no Bluetooth while not bevy it would have been nice especially at this price Point that way you can dual sources like your game and a discord chat. I would have liked to have seen some Xbox wireless compatibility also there are competitors that offer that. Overall I think these are great sounding headphones but they face stiff competition and in reality their only difference is the haptic feedback which in my opinion is not really worth it. They did sound great with my PC, PlayStation and Switch. And while you have to use them wired I’m sure they would be great on the Xbox also.

Bad sound quality for PC
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible sound quality for pc. Razor makes great pc accessories but this is not one. Don't waste your money, save the extra $50 and buy astros or Sennheiser epos.

Razer Kraken V3 Pro HyperSense. 4/5
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have an Astro A10 gen 2 wired headset but decided to upgrade to this because I already had some other Razer products. They are super comfortable and feel very well-built. The battery life is decent, and the haptics are really, really strong. My only complaint is that the battery doesn't last as long as they say it does, and it doesn't charge to full most of the time. But if you are fine with using them wired occasionally or you only play for a few hours a day, these are an excellent choice.

My new favorite headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Short story to start this review. We are currently sleep training my infant son. He sleeps in a room with his older sister. I can see their door from the area I was playing my tablet. As the game was going, I saw their door fly open and my daughter came running out. She was crying, my son was crying, it was chaos. And I heard...none of it. These don't claim to be noise canceling, but the sound profile and engulfment drown out surroundings. Not sure that you will view that as good or bad, but it's worth noting. I'm thoroughly impressed with these headphones. I use them for PC, and the sound is terrific. From games to mediums, I have no complaints on sound quality and length of use. Bass kicks and is clean, highs are clear and precise, and the should you need further customization, there is a intuitive EQ. Great build quality and posh, cushy earcups and headband, I have used these for hours at a time with no discomfort. The 7.1 is, for once, noticeable. I have used several pairs that claim to use spatial sound effectively, but I can actually notice positional sound and awareness with these. I believe that is in part to the "seal" that is created when using, relating to my original anecdote. Whatever the reson, it works, Touching on the HyperSense, I enjoy it. I use both a Subpac and a Woojer vest, and the technology is pretty much the same. Not very useful, but a fun added immersion element. Add these all together, and it is just further compliments whatever game I'm playing. You can control the level of intensity, but I like it all the way up. You won't get much on mids and highs, but anything in that lower range gives a nice noticeable rumble. These are my new favs for sure.

Another great Razer product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the original Kraken for a few years and have switched to another brand for the past year mostly to take advantage of a gaming DAC to fine tune my listening for movies, music and games. I had the chance to try out the new wireless Razer Kraken V3 Hypersense headset and there is a lot to like about these but a few things I don't like... I'll get to those in a bit. At the pricepoint you can easily justify adding these to your gaming arsenil. Here is what comes in the box: the Kraken V3 Hypersense wireless headset, a removable boom mic, a USB A to USB C charging cable, a 3.5mm audio cable and a wireless USB dongle. First of all this headset is extremely comfortable. The ear cups have a nice foam core with a very supple soft leather wrap. They are plenty big and deep for my Dumbo ears. This is an exaggeration of course but my ears to stick out enought to rule out several headsets and especially with on the ear variety. The band is metal with the padding that touches the top of your head the same material as the ear cups. Cushy!!! I can easily wear these for long durations of a couple of hours. I did have a slight issue with sweat after a long time of wearing them but you will get that with most over the ear headsets. After charging the headset with the included USB charging cable setup is easy. If you use it as a plain headset you don't have to do anything else for a PC however you will get a prompt to install Razer's Synapse software which will allow total control of the headset. You can enable/disable the lighting, the haptic intensity, adjust sound profiles including THX spatial audio, equalizer settings, bass boost, voice clarity... man, there is a lot. Again, if you like plain and simple just skip installing the software. Oh, an you must have a Razer Synapse account or create one... yet on of the other things that bugs me about hardware in general. If you are already rocking a Razer Blackwidow and Deathadder (or any Razer combo), then the memory real estate might not be an issue since you will most likely already be using Synapse. I guess the new fad is to bling everything with RGB lighting. The Kraken V3 Hypersense headset is no different. There is LED lighting illuminating the outer ring of ear cups on the headset. Yeah, if you are into that sorta thing. Which I am but headset lighting when I can't see it kinda missing the point for me. I'm not sure how much the battery life suffers with the lights on but I'm sure it does shorten the battery life at least some but that might not really be a big issue. I mean who is going to wear these 8 hours straight? The controls are easy to reach with the left cup having power switch, volume knob, mic mute button, optional 2.5mm audio jack and a USB C port for charging. On the right cup there is only one button and that's to adjust the Hypersense levels where by pushing you scroll through different levels of haptic feedback (vibration of the ear cup synced with game play settings). What I like - price is comparable to other good gaming headsets. - comfort - sound quality is amazing and THX spatial gives you a very immersive surround sound effect. What I don't care for: - removable boom mic (I prefer the boom mics that swivel up mute and get out of the wayO - having to find the mute button - not a fan of Synapse as it seems each piece of hardware has it's own app - why not Bluetooth???? - you have to have a Razer account to use Synapse. I hate logging into everything!! On the fence - - Hypersense haptic levels. It takes some getting use to. You can just set and forget as some games may have haptic feedback and others not. You'll have to play with it. Heck, I was toggling with the button during game play depending on what's going on... sometimes I thought the headset was going to shake off my head... okay, another exaggeration but you get the point. I have yet to try these with my consoles but that is the next thing on the list. I need to fire up Madden 22 on my PS5 and test out these bad boys!!!

Very comfortable fit and adjustable sound quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these; plain and simple. I wear 2xL hats and the headphones adjust to fit me comfortably and sound great. Super comfortable, excellent sound, although you may have to tweak the range a bit with your software. wireless dongle use was easy, set up, etc. was a breeze. Instructions were clear, packaging was excellent and I will retain the box for travel. It would have been nice to get a 'pleather' bag as part of the package, but fine without it. In game sound was excellent - felt very surrounding/immersive. The bass was heavy for some shooters, but could adjust for that via PC and in game settings. no appreciable lag, voices were clear in chat. Music only usage was quite good for wireless capable set. I also used the set wired and was very satisfied. All in all, a very good quality, comfortable adaptable headset with pretty quick charging. Very pleased. This is my third set of Razer headphones that I have owned through the years and I'd have to say theyt have ll lived up to the hype and my expectations.

Overall Good Gaming Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Kraken V3 Pro Wireless Headset has many pros and cons when it comes to daily use. For starters, it has amazing haptic feedback while gaming that allows the user to hear and sense where footsteps and minimal sounds are coming from, giving the player a heightened spatial awareness while playing highly intensive games. The headset also comes with speakers that deliver a crisp and loud listening experience for casual or competitve use. While listening to songs or playing immersive gaming experiences, there is no distortion or delay between what you see and what you hear, allowing for hours of use at a time. The battery life is also an improvemewnt over other wireless devices, lasting over a day with constant use when not using the haptic feedback or lighting modes of the headset. Turning on these features only slightly decreases how long the headset will remain functional, and overall it is a great listening experience for everyone. It also comes with the Razor synapse software, allowing for instant customization for the headset's colors, equalizer, and mic equalizer. Although it has many pros, the gaming headset also has a few cons to note. The earmuffs are circular and are less comfortable than earmuffs that are shaped in an oval that wrap around the ear, rather than lay on top of it. A second major issue, that may be the biggest downside to this headset overall, is the microphone quality. Compared to other headsets, the microphone quality is drastically worse. It sounds like a budget microphone rather than a top of the line peripheral, and compared to 3rd-party microphones, it struggles to meet the standard for most gamers. Overall, this headset is worth it for those who have a stand alone microphone and are fine with circular ear muffs. Aside from this, it is definitely a product I would recommend to anyone going into the pc gaming scene.

awesome head set BUT, be aware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I got so tired of my old wired headsets wire getting caught on the arm of my chair or in the desk drawers when closing. I really wasn't in the market for a new headset however and just was dealing with it. Made a trip to best buy to pick up another Item I'd purchased online. Just browsing around I was looking at headsets and other gadgets. Put these headsets on and really pondered the purchase for awhile before deciding to bite the bullet. These had way more features and were way more involved than I had anticipated. A lot of software download to go along with it and a lot of options. I don't know what its called but there is a feature in the headset that really boosts and vibrate the low end. Sound quality is exceptional LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that it is wireless. Here is the bit to be aware of, and I had to do a LOT of research on the net to figure this out and I am only 90% convinced I've actually fixed the problem, that is, that when play one video it is great, but subsequent videos there is no audio, even if you stop a video and then restart after 5 secs. not audio. you have to turn off and reconnect. I think that what the fix is is that you have to go into settings and disable THX Spatial then it seems to not disconnect. Cost is also kind of a downside. still waiting for it to go on sale so I can get a refund of the difference. It very well may not and I'm okay with that, but it is a bit pricey unfortunately
