This headset is amazing! Works really well with ps5 too. Download synapse 4 on pc and customize the headset and the hub. Add new sections to use with console and even turn off rgb with hub

battery is oversold and under optimized. but the audio quality of bass is above average

Just as described. Out of their big selection, I’m set on this one.

They are not that great for their price. Debating on returning them because for a 400$ headset u can’t adjust chat and game volume with the mixer or the headset. The haptics are barely noticeable and they are not comfortable for more then 3 hours max.

Horrible headset almost no redeeming qualities. The haptics are a total gimmick that blend into the bass but is not in sync at all. The connection on pc is incredibly hit or miss it would work once in a blue moon. For this price it’s an absolute scam.

Great headphone. I love using the screen to track my hardware temperatures. Got it on sale for $300

A serious upgrade from the last iteration, this headset is perhaps the premiere headset from Razer.

They sound good out of the box but for the price it's not great. I'll keep it short and hopefully helpful. Compared to other high-end sets like Astro A50, Arctis, and Alienware those headsets are much better as far as sound quality. The bass is lacking. It seems like they used the haptics to artificially create bass sound. I agree with others. Haptics not needed on headsets. if you don't like the idea of force feedback in your ears, stay away from these. It's a weird sensation to me.

Constant disconnects, have to restart it constantly. The mic will switch automatically to bluetooth when I get a phone call, but needs restarted to switch back to PC. Synapse will fail to find it while its turned on 50% of the time. Not happy with it at all.

Loud and comfortable. Though the materials don't feel all that durable. General construction feels fine and sturdy, but the materal on the ear cups and headstrap feels like it's going to begin to show deterioration inside of a year or so. It feels like that hyper thin leatherette material that feels nice to touch, but just gets eaten away so quickly from the oils in your skin. Seen this happen on a bunch of high end headsets. As long as replacements are affordable and readily availible this isnt really an issue for the ear cups, I'll take comfort over durability in some cases. The control hub it comes with acts as the wireless dongle, and offers a little screen you can customize, and a button to switch between control options that can be adjusted using the wheel. It's simple, but looks nice on the desk. And if your using a smaller form factor keyboard without media controls, it's nice to have a volume knob at the ready to not need to click through menus or grab my remote to adjust volume. Separation of audio outputs is great, I can set Discord up on one channel and general computer audio on the other and dynamically adjust the output between them to favor one or the other depending on what I am doing. Makes playing online with friends a lot easier. I appreciate features like this as I usually have a group chat up and it's nice to be able to keep that audio control separate from everything else. Biggest misstep here though is the microphone, no matter what I do, it sounds just a little echoey and metallic. It will do in a pinch but in general I don't recommend the Mic on this, I've had clearer mic input on entry level headsets. But as a pair of gaming headphones to get immersed in your games, these are great, The haptics is a love it or hate it kind of thing, and games that specifically support it are few, but even just using the audio aware haptics, can give the bass and big extra RUMBLE. It's fun. It can make the overall audio quality drop, so I don't really recommend it for music, but when you're in a game and hunkered down with a LMG the thumpthumpthump of the haptics as you fire is awesome. The RGB lighting looks nice, but unless your streaming, might as well save a little battery and turn it off to extend time between recharges. Overa;; these are great if you like the Razer aesthetic, and don't mind the premium. Get a nice desktop Mic though if your serious about the quality of your voice on chat. The mic on this wont make you impossible to understand, but it's not amazing.

This is probably the best Razer headset that has ever laid on my ears. Though it has a quirk or two, it has pretty good features that left me wanting it each time I use it. First of all, right out of the box, the build is impressive. It has a very premium feel. The design looks like studio audiophile headphones (with the exception of the RGB). It is made of very good quality materials. The head band is flexible but durable. The cups that fold quarter way in, are the right proportion to the whole headset with buttons that have this responsive click without being intrusive, and the leatherette is oh so plush. Even the cables are of good quality, though other Razers have that. The microphone slides in and out with the right amount of tension. It even comes with a bag, just to probably keep it away from dust. The hub is made of seemingly dust-resistant plastic that has a solid weight and feel. The oled screen is sharp and a good decision to minimize desk brightness to only the necessary info. The dial movement is precise and button responds well to touch. Setting up is a breeze as it is paired to the hub and Bluetooth is like any other, which I connected to my phone. The hub acts as a switcher for PC, console and Aux. I don’t have any more source for Aux so that’s one less function for me. But PC and console is pretty useful. My PS5 is connected to the big TV at the living room but hardly gets used out there vs. here in my office where I remote play in it all the time. This makes it easier for me to bring my console in (and not deal with that half ms lag) then not have to switch plugs or headphones when I play on PC or PS5. Pretty convenient. The Synapse app has everything I need to customize plus it recognized my games that I usually play. It is great but kind of overwhelming because when I go to specific Kraken Pro settings, I have so much options to choose from. Good thing I can match the profile with a specific game. So I can do movie mode with RDR2 or disable haptics on a turn-based game (Raid), -- all these I set up in the app, even lighting, etc. Then I have almost everything I need for on-the-go customization in the hub, such as haptic intensity and audio EQ. So I did a lot of my precise settings in the Synapse and use the hub as the shortcut. Performance-wise, the sound is great and because of the customizations, the tweaks make it more immersive depending on the game and the type of listening, like feeling the explosions better on movie mode with haptics on or feeling like I am in a rock concert with high haptics and THX spatial on (THX spatial audio adds some echoes to the experience so it feels like there is depth). Or plain movie with no haptics but better dialogues clarity. The microphone output though is a little odd. I kind of sound like a chopper pilot per my wife. There’s the rough texture on the wide range of the microphone output that does not make it sound very crisp. Audio is clear but the sharpnesss is not there—I guess it helps with minimizing the popping of Ps. Headphone buttons are easy to reach and it does not take too long to familiarize myself, like the power button has texture so it’s easy to recognize which button sets are on which side. Comfort-wise, wearing them is good and the buttons are easily recognizable. It firmly presses on my eyeglasses but it does not feel uncomfortable even on long sessions. At least on my 4 hour session, I did not feel any top band irritation or temple pressure. The leatherette though, I am not sure if it will feel warm in time, like in the summer. It is currently winter and though I do AC in the summer, I am afraid the leatherette may feel warm? Nevertheless, it is very comfortable. Overall these are great headphones. 1) Hub helps with switching on platforms, not to mention the ability to take calls on Bluetooth while gaming 2) the customization options makes my experience more engaging, whether it is gaming, watching shorts or listening to music. 3) they are comfortable, have great battery life and have very stable connectivity. I thought I would be taken aback by its price, or hesitant because of having another added unit (hub) on my desk. But all the features literally pay off. The headphones are worthy on being my desk mainstay, and I am sure for most gamers as well.
