The Razer - Kraken V4 Wireless Gaming Headset comes in Razer's signature black and green packaging. Unlike its predecessors, the Kraken V4 is fully wireless, with a USB-C dongle for 2.4 GHz connectivity, a braided USB-C to USB-A cable, and a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Design-wise, the V4 has large, foam-padded ear cups covered in breathable mesh fabric, making it comfortable for long sessions. It's all plastic, which makes it lighter but perhaps slightly less sturdy, although the overall build quality feels very solid. The headset offers wireless connectivity via 2.4 GHz, a Type-C dongle, or Bluetooth, and wired connectivity through a USB Type-C cable. It features Razer TriForce Titanium 40 mm drivers and a retractable unidirectional Razer HyperClear Super Wideband microphone. The battery life is up to 35 hours with RGB enabled (70 hours without), and it weighs 350 grams. Additional features include Razer Chroma nine-zone RGB lighting, THX Spatial Audio, and on-board audio profiles. The fit is pleasant and lightweight and the clamping force is balanced. The ear cups swivel for a better fit and a smaller profile for storage. The RGB lighting, controlled by Razer Synapse, is customizable but the software can be resource-heavy and unstable. The sound quality of the Kraken V4 is good. The 40mm TriForce Titanium drivers deliver clear, rich audio with a good balance of bass, mids, and highs. Whether you're gaming, listening to music, or watching movies, the sound is immersive and detailed. The THX Spatial Audio feature enhances this experience by providing a surround sound effect, making it easier to pinpoint in-game sounds like footsteps or gunfire. Unfotunately, in what I believe is a rather cheap move it does require you to pay a seperate license. A 15 day trial is included to try it out to see if it's worth it or not. The microphone is flexible and retractable, providing usable but not partiuclarly good. You can mess with the software and make it a little better, but the voice sounds like it's coming from a tin can. It's usable for gameplay, but if you want to record gameplay commentary or use it for streaming or vlogs, you'll be much better served with a better, seperate microphone. Overall, the Kraken V4 boasts a sleek, stylish, and comfortable design, with easily customizable audio and RGB settings. The microphone quality is up to par for game communication, but is lacking for any other use. It offers multiple connectivity options for different platforms (though stay clear if you want to use it on an Xbox; it's not compatible) delivering very good sound quality with its 40mm drivers and offers impressive battery life, making it a good choice for gaming despite some software quirks.

They are okay, but my previous experience with a Razer headset was the Razer Nari, and they were amazing for the same price as this ones. This krakens does not have the hipatic sense, and the sound is not to top notch, is okay for someone just starting at gaming, also, the synapse software gets painfull sometimes

I really like these headphones! They are simple to setup, have great audio quality, and they are really comfortable to wear. To connect to my computer, I first used the Bluetooth connection. There were no issues with the pairing process. I just had to hold the power button first to turn on the power, then enter pairing mode. The headphones have a voice that advises their status. The Razer software allows calibration for the spatial audio, adjustment of the EQ settings, and offers a demo video to test the capabilities. The headphones are extremely comfortable to wear. My big ears fit comfortably in the cups without being compressed. They seem to be fairly breathable, so my ears are not sweating. I can move my head in all directions and walk around my home without worrying that the headphones are going to fall off my head. They sit comfortably, but still hug my head and stay put. When walking through my home, I can confirm that the range of the headphones in Bluetooth mode is comparable to all of my other Bluetooth devices. My absolute favorite feature is the retractable microphone. Other gaming headsets have mics that are detachable. I have a habit of losing them, or being unable to find them when I really need them. With the mic retracting into the headset, it won’t be lost. I am really happy with the sound quality of the mic. It is crystal clear with a wide frequency range. When the mic mute button on the headphones is pressed, a red light activates on the end of the mic, making it obvious that the mic is muted. Speaking of lights, the exterior of the speakers have lights that cycle through colors in a spiral pattern. It is not obnoxious, but they still look nice. So far, battery life is excellent. I have been listening to music for multiple hours and the battery is still above 90%. The headphones are charged via USB-C and include a high-quality USB-A to C cable. They also include a USB-A to female C cable for the wireless dongle to plug into. This can be great, both to extend the range by raising the height of the dongle, but also to keep it away from other USB 3.0 ports that tend to cause interference for wireless dongles. Last but not least, audio quality is as expected for higher-quality headphones. The trebles are crisp, and the bass is present but not overwhelming. I listened to a variety of my favorite game and movie soundtracks that test the range of the headphones. They pass without any issues. When the THX Spatial Audio is turned on through the Razer software, I am impressed. There is an obvious difference between stereo and surround sound. After experiencing the surround sound, I am not sure why anyone would choose stereo. I would definitely recommend these headphones to a friend.
